Pro Tip: if you melt the beads JUST enough to stick them together but still have every hole, the condensation from a cold beverage ((or even if you spill a warm one!)) will go thru the holes and prevent the cup or mug from sticking to the coaster. Add a little felt or cork on the bottom as well to keep it from sliding and to catch the wet!
This video made me super happy for some reason. Lol I am a sucker for coasters and already have pearler beads so I know what I am doing after I tackle my dishes. Thank you so much for the video!!
Wow!! that was amazing :) My favorite was the first one you did, but it was impressive that you were able to do the snowflake one without a sketch!! Bravo :)

+Sea Lemon, will you be making a diy christmas themed journal/book.... and also pls. make more bookbinding tutorials and bookbinding tips videos next year! 😄
Hi Jennifer! I do Perler bead projects all the time. I have a few suggestions for you :) if you iron on the pegboard, it can cause warping and make the board all wavy. To combat this, you can try the masking tape method, where you press thick strips of masking tape over your work (I like to use the handle part of scissors to run over the beads to make sure they stick) and then you can lift the beads and iron them off of the pegboard. Also, I actually only iron one side, and then I stick it non-ironed side up on parchment paper on a cookie sheet in a 350F oven for around 10 minutes. This will completely melt the beads, so you aren't left with those little, uneven holes. Thanks for making awesome content! :)
I know that it's not a Christmas themed idea but in a later video could you show how to transfer an image onto leather? I want to make a flip cover for my phone which is according to one of my favourite fandoms. Also happy holiday wishes to you and everyone. :)
+Anya Gupta I've read some people use parchment or wax paper, but after some experience those don't work as well as the perler ironing paper. My wax paper would get stuck on the beads and leave residue. I would use the perler ironing paper 😉
I work as a diy intructor for kids and have found that the method that you use for ironing the beads is not the best. With the method you use the peg board will not last as long. some pegs will become melted with repeated usage and with time the entire board will become unusable. Here is my method for the pegboard to last longer: Fold the ironing paper in half like in a signature. Put the board with the beads on inside the folded paper and start ironing. Iron in circles, slightly larger than you do in the video. You want the iron to cover every part for the same amount of time for an even result. If you do small circles it never leaves the middle of the coaster. This is why your coasters were more melted in the middle. Iron only until the beads stick together just a little bit. At this point you stop ironing and flip the paper and board over. You can easily flip it because the ironing paper is folded and holds the board in between. Remove the peg board and set it aside (very easy because the pearls are not very melted jet). Now you can iron the backside of the coaster and even flip it over to do the front some more with no danger of ruining the peg board. When you are satisfied with the level of meltedness you achieved take the coaster with the paper around it an set it under a book or something else flat and heavy. Let it cool there. Putting the coaster under a book while cooling prevents warping. You want your coaster flat don't you? This is the way I do it and it prolongs the lifespan of the peg boards a great deal. Thanks for a great channel! Bye!

Love it 👍
where did you buy the pegboard and the perler beads?please anwser my question!!!!
Tzotzo Karatzas Michaels and JoAnn craft store
soo cute
Cross stitch patterns would also work.
Random question: where did you purchase your top? It's so cute. :)
good idea
hai, this is 2,6 mm or 5 mm beads?
Can you use wax paper instead or would that ruin the design?
Haylee Herbert I don't seem to have much luck with wax paper. It sticks to the beads too much and is harder to remove after ironing.
can you do a DIY galaxy slime plz
you should try making a diy bracelets video.. please
how do u make a video cover
Cool!!!!
Is the ironing paper reusable
Yes
Nice video
Cool
