I was expecting to see the different / next level versions with the free leg at the end :( I'm trying to learn the double outside 3 turns extending my leg in each of them but after the second one i end up stuck in the ice with no movement and unable to hold the posture i end up in spin mode. Thank u for the introduction tho, very helpful videos !
Thanks for the feedback. We will be covering the double outside 3 turns with an extended free leg in another video in the future. This was just where we recommend starting when learning a double outside 3 turn. Without seeing your double 3 turn it's hard to understand the problem 100% but based on what you are saying happens when you try the move with an extended free leg, I would suggest that perhaps your weight is too far forwards on the blade when you turn the second 3 turn. Try to make sure that turning from backward to forward you put the weight towards the back of the blade, this allows the blade to run smoothly across the ice and maintain speed. Also, make sure that even though you are stretching your free leg back, you keep your hips underneath you. Sticking your hips back with your free leg will put the weight too far on the front of your blade and stop all the speed and flow on the second 3 turn. If you have any questions regarding this, feel free to ask.
You are 100% correct. We will be uploading a video covering the backward outside 3 turn in the future. In the mean time, when doing a 3 turn from backward to forward, remember to let the weight press into the back of the blade closer to the heel. Leaving it towards the front of the blade will make it incredibly difficult and greatly increase the chance of falling.
@@IceCoachOnline That is exactly the advice that got that backwards to forwards 3-turn work for me last week! Weight distribution! Again this topic XD I'm going to check for it every time now when things don't work!
