Lucky you. I purchased a 32,000 mile pre-owned Hyundai Genesis (2015) and had the fuel door replaced, the oil pan leak replaced, the left rear door handle break off, the wires in the trunk be repaired (TSB), and lastly, transmission failure at 105,000 miles. In total, I spent over $8,000 in repairs...garbage company (Hyundai)...traded up to a Lexus.

I have a 2013 Genesis that I bought new. In the 10 years that I have owned it, I have had ZERO issues and Zero repair costs. I've done all of the general maintenance, myself, except for oil changes, because when I bought the car, I received a coupon book for $8.95 oil changes. (The oil filter alone must cost that much) Every time I go to the dealer, they try to sell me things that I've already done......They must hate my guts.

Kleantrix i posted a comment a few days ago about the alignment giving me problems. I had the car aligned at 4 different shops and each shop said it was good but tried to adjust the alignment according to the pull i was experiencing. Upon doing some online research the past 2 weeks i came across a forum post about loose lug nut torque because the Genesis is a heavy car. I Purchased a 1/2 torque wrench and set it to 95 ft lbs torque. After i torque each wheel in a star pattern i take the car for a drive. To my astonishment the car drove perfect, steering felt precise, no more wandering and the car felt quicker for some reason. Called my mechanic because i still couldnt believe it. He said under torqued wheels can cause pull, vibration, and wander especially with 4,700 pound car like the Genesis. Hope i can help someone else within the Genesis family👍 oh also i had brake shudder before i torque the lug nuts, even that is gone now.

If anyone reads this, I also have a 2015 Like his, but I do not have all the bells and whistles.. And I have not had to take it to get fixed that much. would do the regular checkups (way too pricey) and 1 major fix that was under warranty.
I would get an extended warranty, right now I have this silly oil light that could be a sensor, and the car keeps thinking the back window is open, i can live with that.

Only thing you need to be mindful of is the 3.3 produce more carbon then usual so a fuel induction service every other oil change and the transmission fluid says to be changed after 90k miles, do 45 or every 30k. That long lasting transmission fluid is b.s. This is stuff ive found researching the engine an transmission reliability.

Wow... a lot of warranty claims on that one
I purchased a used 3 year old Hyundai Equus in 2015 and still own it today. It was in the new car warranty when I purchased it and they did the front air struts, a new Nav head unit and some work on the sunroof right at the time I bought it. I bought the factory warranty " wrap" which basically gave me 5 more years and 100K total of factory warranty. The car never broke again and thus I never got to use the extended warranty I purchased. I did have to do a wheel bearing ($900) at the dealer about 6 months ago

I bought a used 2019 fully-loaded certified Genesis G80. It was an excellent car until I heard a wind noise from the driver’s side window. I took it twice to the Genesis dealership for repair under warranty. After two fixes, it still made the annoying wind noise when driving over 55 mph. Then I had two warranty repairs for the electrical system and got a third recall notice for another electrical issue that my G80 could catch on fire 🔥 while stopped or parked. The recall notice said not to park my G80 in the garage, near structures or other vehicles. I was told it would take two months to get the part to fix my G80. After three recalls and the inability of Genesis techs to fix my G80, I decided it was time to sell it. I sold it to a Genesis dealership and bought myself a Lexus GX 460. I still like the Genesis G80 sedan, and it's excellent, especially when driving on California freeways.

First you say buy the car then turn around and say not to buy the car contradictory if you ask me. Also this is not a German car. Came from the makers of Hyundai. Remember the Hyundai Genesis? That vehicle split off into its own luxury line. If your going to make videos can you at least know what your talking about lol

Before purchasing a Genesis, check your service wait times. I purchased a 2019 G90. It takes a month to get service and now, I've had 2 dealerships decline the valet service because, "I didn't purchase it from them". That wasn't what was promised. I even called Genesis USA. The person on the phone knew of the problem but offered no help. Now, the G90 is over $100K. This is crazy. If you want to burn $100K why not get married ? If I'm to be lied to and treated this way, I might as well purchase a BMW. At least I'll have the badge snobbery we all know of.

So what you are saying is don't buy one? This video is confusing 😂😂. If you have yours that much I'll give you $3k for it

When you buy a used car this old you don't get a warranty....duh. You don't need a warranty. If your so hell bent on a warranty, then get a new car. Your video is totally useless info. I definitely won't be subscribing to hear more of your opinions.

So back in 2018 my nurse friend thought I paid over 50k for it. Now granted he did think i bought it new and at the time, these things were 50k new. But no one thinks its worth 40k now, because its worth only 20k

When they built this model they were really trying hard to get Lexus people to Genesis. They made it with Quality, but now I think not so much. At that time Lexus was still going after perfection not anymore.

$15000.00 in warranty claims is a reason not to buy this vehicle.
