Don't let her jump off furniture if you can help it. Use doggie stairs as much as possible. They can injure their backs easily. My boy jumped off everything and messed his back numerous times. He had to be on pain meds and to be kept calm. I had to carry him up and down stairs and keep gated up for 2 weeks numerous times so he didn't make his back worse. It could cause paralyzation. Please be careful in letting her jump off of things. Also, use a harness for walks. Never put a leash on a collar around her neck as you can collapse the trachea. Good luck. She's adorable and yes they are very stubborn.
I still can’t get over how teeny tiny she is. Literally toy size. Can’t wait for Oscar and Phia to meet soon. Love you pookie.

Please be careful when you let her out. Watch for owls, hawks or other large birds of prey. They WILL carry off small dogs. We also have coyotes that we have to watch for. Also, she is a baby and needs rest periods or naps like a baby. She’s a beauty! I hope you have many wonderful years with her. TFS
MsTequilaSheila Wow, thanks so much for the heads up! I never imagined for that to be a thing to look out for.. so far she’s pee pad trained in our garage, so she’s never outside on her own 🥰
You’re absolutely right I know I have that stuff behind my yard there’s woods never do I let him run loose I have to look out for neighbors they have bulldogs to which they don’t take care of right I never let him out unless I got him on a leash and I’m with him watching everything around me or in my front yard that’s fenced in and I’m out there with him then to because I don’t trust hawks or owls
@@sheilamore3261 I have the same problem, my neighbours dogs are very aggressive (it's not the dogs fault, the neighbours abuse them but we call rangers and do everything we can to help the poor dogs get out of the situation) sometimes they escape so it's very scary when taking her on walks or taking her in the backyard because of that reason.
@@dianataras5983 True. I live out in the country and have a teacup Yorki too. I always look up when I let her out because we have hawks in the area and they will carry her off....

@@aaliyahfranco100 most teacups are bred by un responsible people. Make sure to find a good breeder who doesn’t breed the runts of the litter to create a smaller dog

If children are raised around dogs, they will be loving and affectionate people because the love they will receive from dogs will make them be like that. "DOGS ARE ALL ABOUT LOVE"
I've read that they have lots of health problems because they've been bred to be teacup size when they're not meant to be. So I'm getting two normal size yorkie pups instead. They are very cute otherwise.

My first puppy was a Shih-Tzu I named him Buster. My Dad got him while I was at school. He surprised me with my first fur baby. But because of hurricane Irma a few years ago. He’s with a new family.

Mine was crying the first night so I tucked her into bed next to me. She knew she was safe and now she's a happy and independent puppy who goes to sleep by herself. Letting a puppy cry is cruel also the crate is cruel, they belong to the family, they're not a prisoner to be behind bars.

There are no teacup yorkies. Don’t get them if they are too small. Most likely if she is 1.2 at 12 weeks old she will grow up to be a 4 to 4.5 pounds. The ones that are smaller are gonna have too many health issues.
Also be careful because her back legs tend to have patella issues .

She’s usually running around wherever we are (she’s honestly such a companion dog so she never wants to be alone).. luckily we’ve had no issues with her hiding! We crate trained her, so she sleeps in her crate at night and during naps ❤️

I have been looking for teacup yorkie in California or a nearby state. If anyone has a referral Iwould appreciate. There are so many fake ads online and when I posted on Nextdoor I got a lot of hate for trying to “buy” a puppy rather than afopt. Anyway please anyone let me know if you can recommend any teacup breeders where I can buy.

I live in the Pigeon Forge, TN. And last year a couple went in to eat and come back to a broken window and her 3 Yorkies GONE. I certified mine as a support animal. I've had a livertransplant.

It’s hard to find a reputable breeder! We were searching for a few months ourselves and definitely struggled. We got ours from a family friend who was a former breeder. Good luck in your search!

Lol we supposedly got a teacup yorkie four years ago... He stands 10 in at the shoulder and is a foot long, about 10 pounds today...we realized we probably got jipped but we love him anyways. 😂

Geo P It’s hard to have a solid prediction on their weight! Always a guess.. I don’t mind what she’ll weigh 🥰 She’s pee pad trained currently!

S L. She was not pee pad trained at all when we got her. Now she is ❤️
The Konfederats how long did it take her to be trained and what methods did u use I will be getting my teacup on Saturday I’m so excited but would also like some tips
S L. I’d say it took her about 3-4 weeks to really understand that the pee pads are where she needs to go potty (we keep them in the garage, not in the house) Sometimes we take her outside to potty but she gets too distracted. Biggest advice is to take her out very often (hourly) and make sure she goes out about 30-45 min after eating/drinking, take her out after playtime, and after her naps. It’s a lot of work but it gets easier! Also, she’s crate trained.
Just have to be very careful with yorkies how is your little dog doing now?
She’s honestly such a sweet little addition to our family! We’re so happy with her and she’s adjusted perfectly 🙏🙏👌

Please please please do not promote or buy overly small Yorky puppies. First of all tea cup Yorkie do not exist. Yorkie generally go between 4 and 8 pounds. Yours is probably gonna grow to be between 4 and 4 1/2 pounds. Which doesn’t make it a “teacup”, the ones that are between 2 1/2 and 3 pounds usually have a lot of health issues and end up having a shorter life. So please do not buy them. Yorkie I’m general might have several issues thru the years already because of their pure breed genetic issues. I’m not trying to be a party pooper, just speaking from experience.
