Sounds great, really good video.. I've been using Neural DSP Archetype Plini just recently, and it blows me away every time. What a time to be a guitarist..
Nice walkthrough - you get great tones in your videos. I always liked the Friedman plugs but I got the Suhr PT100 a few months back and think it's definitely a step above. Really impressed with it
I was messing with both today trying to figure out what I want. Only got to spend a few minutes thiugh. I felt like the suhr was super muffled sounding at first. After a bit of tweaking I got it sounding good. Are you still liking the suhr? There is a uaudio deal right now with most of the amps 50% off
My Twin x arrived last week and having a great time experiencing all it has to offer and evaluating plug ins galore. I would love to take you up on the offer to grab a couple of the presets you used as I'm a bit overwhelmed with choices in the setup (being a rank amateur sound tech!). I'd be more than happy to buy you a coffee or two (or three!!). Great vid BTW. Really helpful.
Can the settings on these brainworx guitar plugins be controlled via midi or automation lanes inside your DAW? The manuals don’t say anything about it, and I haven’t seen a TH-cam video demonstrating it in any way.
To me, the Friedman amps sound best in the Unison slot. So, what if you use a real tube screamer in front instead of using a TS in the unison slot and the amp sim after?
Nice video although I would argue that the Fuchs Train II (also for UAD) is more versatile and has a bit more mojo IMHO. I would suggest that anyone who tries the Friedman also tries the Fuchs Train II and decides for themselves. You did get some great tones from the Friedman and that is also a testament to your excellent playing.
I feel like this was missing a minute on the front explaining what all this was running on. the UA Apollo seems to be an audio interface not an amp? or this all on the mac?
@@TheStudioRats "In this video I'm going to show you how to get some great sounds using some of the amp simulators you can get for the Universal Audio Apollo and UAD platform" What is that though? It looks like mac software, but googling gets you an audio interface. I guess it's just me who doesn't know.
@@howardjones543 In order to use the plug ins demoed in this video, you need an Apollo interface. The interface has DSP that basically frees up CPU use from your PC/Mac which allows you to do more in a recording setting

Im yet to try the Neural DSP stuff, but your not the first to say how good it is. Thanks Eldaddio.
Agreed. I'm so disappointed I can't use them with Luna. I especially love Parallax.
@@TheStudioRats make a video trying it!
It’s free to try

Please share your presets as you mentioned. Thanks

Killer tones!
Cher YOU.
Thanks for the helpful video. Much appreciated. What are your fave UAD guitar plug-ins currently?

Cheers Marconix1. I’ll have another listen to the Train 2.
U said the Scuffam amp sim was the best...whoever's dropping a review bonus is the cream it seems
Maybe you should look at dates of the videos!
