The Doppler Effect - eloquent intelligent speaking, superb guitar playing, knowledgeable, all around great guy! And my gosh... what a guitar collection! Makes you want to buy the products he demos!
I really love how Doug gets so into his playing and the faces he makes. :) Killer tones by the way! I haven't been able to get such good sounds out of the amps. But then again, I'm not half the player Doug is and I don't have as fine guitars.
Suena muy orgánico. Creo que ya las emulaciones lo lograron, y para grabar, bastan las emulaciones de amplis para sonar bien. Los he probado y son excelentes.
Sounds like it could be good! Really wish there was an example of double tracked wide stereo panned guitars so hear a modern recording. As is, sounds a little flat to me.
i got this couple days ago...have the stock Marshall Plexi classic...sounds like shit so far...been tweaking for couple days, but still fizzy sounding without the nice warm upper harmonics...i run my Kemper thru line jack with a Marshall 900 and sounds pretty good....especially when adding effects....i wish i could find a demo that says...ok...do exactly this...this is exactly how i got this sound...i am hesitant to purchase the other sims if i can't get better sound than this...sure i must be doing something wrong...
You need brand new strings and at least a 2k dollar guitar and intonation set up perfectly if you don't already. Also a medium guitar pick for the clean stuff with the pick slanted slightly so it rakes across each string on it's side a little when you pick instead of just picking straight down. Also try adding the original 1176LN legacy after the amp with a slow attack and fast release at 4:1 with gain reduction of about -4 :) Hope that helps. It's mostly in the player and the quality of guitar and strings.
Based on this video, I went out and bought the Apollo. It sounded absolutely nothing like the video, not even close. Just an overpriced version of Amplitube. Unless your going to get it remastered on a studio, which UAD probably went and did for their 'demos,' bear in mind that your results will not sound anything like this video.
A lot of your tone is in your fingers. Going from a Saffire interface to the apollo completely changed the sound of my guitar. It went from boxy, one dimensional, and sounding cheap, to sounding much more like the tones you hear in this video. Maybe you had a better interface before the apollo, but with the unison plugins like the tube screamer, there are still tons of benefits of the apollo you might not even be utilizing.
the lousy guitar amp sims are the biggest disappointment in an otherwise great apollo package. I love amplitube's fender collection -- 1, not 2 -- but UAD makes it very difficult to correctly use other plugs ins other than theirs. The tweed UAD is the WORST...it just sounds really bad. That said, I wasn't expecting my guitar to sound like the demo -- and that was just fine with me..... If UAD would put as much effort into guitar amp sims as it does these other plug ins, they'd own the market. Not sure why they aren't.
This is a common comment for new Axe FX users too. It's important to understand that the guitar you use and it's pickups make a huge difference. The biggest factor is the IR used though. I've never used these UADplugins but I know from the Axe FX it's taken me 18 months to understand what Impulse responses I really like for clean, dirty or high gain.
People buy something and expect this thing will do everything for them with one knob use only. If it doesn't work they complain, or buy another plugin or interface. Sound engineering is difficult and it's an art. Many of us will learn it for years and will not get close to others. Many times people do a mistake and choose an IR which sounds amazing alone, but doesn't work in the mix, and they say - this thing is a big shit. Mix is a combination of sound and frequencies of all instruments used in. Sometime guitar or bass, or any other instrument, sounds like shit when it is listen alone, but sits and sounds perfectly in the mix. I think this is the most common situation, because we always need to cut out something, to make place for other instruments, to get them finally sound good. We can do amazing mix with shit tools or shit mix using amazing tools. Amazing tools makes life easier, but will not do the job, if we are not good in using them.

I get even better tone out of those amps than this demo even though I am not the great player he is.
Dude! Some great tones and chops in here. Versatility is your middle name. Every style of amp and guitar combo is nailed like a boss.
when i watching him do s demo then i realize he looks like forest gump ( hopkins)... great playing
Brainworx badly needs to make it as VST,all other amps from series are being made, can`t wait enough for this one baby.
thnx 4 getting through a lot of sounds in demo fast,, that is what we are looking for in these vids,, great jog great playing.
sounds killer!!
Hey :) have this :) but wondered how are mike positioned?? In the mike up choises ??
I love you Doug ......Going to Namm next year ...love to spend some time with you brother.....all my love .....This is U-Rock
Sounds good to me. I`ve got to try it by myself. thanks UAD for doing a great job!!!
jeezus they nailed it
Is there a detailed list of the settings for each of the tones used? They sound great!
Sorry Spector GA, there is not. 😪
@@UniversalAudio That's a shame. You should get them and make them available. Great tones that can be put to good use.
You're supercool, man! You've convinced me, I gotta get that plugin now.

just beautiful
really good demo, well done!
I will own this 2.5 seconds after its released!
Great playing!
wow ... like your playing :-) ... plugin also sounds great !
if I have Arrow I can use this?
Awesome demo !!!!
I love this Guy!! Fantastic!! :)
😍
WOW, BEST PLUGIN AMPS.
Good demo. GREAT PLAYER!
Please UAD make a fender deluxe reverb/ twin, or super reverb/ vibroverb. The deluxe and twin are two of the most played amps ever. Please god🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Sounds sweet, any way to DL a trial to try it out before buying?
UAD normally allows a week or two demos with new plugins
Crunch is killer!!!
Sounds like it could be good! Really wish there was an example of double tracked wide stereo panned guitars so hear a modern recording. As is, sounds a little flat to me.
what flat about it?) put an eq. i think i get a point, you dont like midrangy tones dont you?
I do wish he wasn't using other plugins with it. I'd like to hear just what we get out of this.
There's the floating chair again.
the problem is,if I got so many damn good gts like him,why I'm not use a real amp?
Between the demo and find the same sound it's not easy
He should not be using another program to add reverb. This should show what the Friedman software can do.

Will never sound good it’s a scam gave up on plug ins
bad ass player
Wow....this guy plays great...if he is my teacher, i think i will be a much better player..haha..enjoyed this!
I just bought this plug in and although it sounds ok, still sounds nothing like this,

The sounds in this video are pure. But keep in mind Doug is a hell of a player and has some amazing guitars to use.
