Hey Nick, I run ads for a kids clothing company that has a weekly drop. Every Wednesday is when we sell the most since it's when we release new items. The ads results go crazy because of it so it's hard to know if the results during the rest of the week are performing well or if they are just through the roof because of the weekly drop. How would you handle that? Something with attribution settings maybe? Currently using a 7 day click 1 day view. Thank
At 10:07 On the example image you turn off the ads that don't get as much spend, but the "winning" adset has more than double the cost per purchase? Why do you optmise for amount spent rather than getting lowest cost per result/purchase?
I look at overall business performance, that winners adset was getting all the spend before we found the new dct. When we found the new dct taking majority of spend, overall business performance improved alot and we could also spend more. Performance = profit, cpa, and being able to spend
Love the content Nick Thank you! Implemented your strategies for my new Ecom brand in Europe and within a few weeks I was profitable. Looking forward to scale.

Greatly appreciate it if you can answer the 2 questions that I have: 1. You mentioned that you'll toss products you don't need to work into the same campaign, whereas you'll create a new campaign for products you need to work. If we launch a new product and want to see if it is going to be a winning product, which category does it fall under? What are some examples of these 2 categories? 2. You mentioned that a $20 product and $200 product's gap is huge and will be separate campaigns. How about $100 and $200? My main products are $100 purses and $200 handbags

Hello, if I'm based in Europe but I advertise in the USA, should I keep the ads live all the time or is it better to show them during peak hours only? Because I noticed fb is spending the majory of the budget when in the USA is night and so when buyers are less active.
Great content Nick, as always! I have a question that you can answer if you have some time. When we start spending money for an e-comm brand that doesn't have a huge budget to begin with, should we start with very open audiences or should we start with lookalike/custom audiences and slowly build on the custom audience? The assumption here is that the e-commerce website has decent past customer data that it can use to create lookalikes.
2 questions, if I’m starting a new business account do you recommend pairing the sales campaign with an awareness and traffic campaigns to create flow to profile? And if I don’t have data would you recommend keeping the CBO or switching to ABO?
Hi Nick, great video thank you! How do you approach your strategy to help the client sell products across their range? When we have a winning ad, one product does very well and sells but the client naturally wants to promote products across the range rather than majority of their sales only coming from one product. Do you have any advice?
@@NickTheriot thank you! I understand now. Again sorry for the questions but when do you decide the reason you’re not seeing results is the creatives or just the product you’re selling

Update the campaing on just duplicate and turn off. or start from scratch with new main campain but turned off..
Nick thanks so much for ur reply. Means a lot. Please, how do u pick ur target NCPA?... for example, my markup is $25. I decided to set my target Ncpa at $20. I started scaling using ur 20% scaling strategy, and for a few weeks, it was good. I got better results than I had ever gotten. At some point, the 24hrs cpa rose to $24, and the 3 day average was now $20.28. So I scaled down by 20%. Despite scaling down the next day’s Cpa was $35 and the day after was $32. The daily cpa has been in the $22 to $26 range and so the 3 day average has been over my target cpa of $20 and so I have continued scaling down every 3 days as u suggested. I started scaling down 10days ago - 9th of this month. The budget is now less than half what it was when I started scaling down and the Cpa has still not fallen below $20. 1. My question is, did I do something wrong? 2. And how do u pick ur target NCPA?
Great Video Nick! Thanks for sharing! What video would you recommend to use to test and launch ads for strategy in 2024 for someone starting out - this video? Asking to be sure. I am going over your past videos as well just want to be sure i have the most recent strategy as of this month as things change all the time. Thank you!
Do you create ads for each awareness level within an ad set and then just let Facebook do its thing? Appreciate all the content. So good to see someone talking about marketing fundamentals vs irrelevant tactics.
Hey nick! Have a question, can i test both broad and interest based targeting when starting with new ad account and budget of less than $50 per day? CBO or ABO is better for testing. Thank you for your amazing content.
Sir i want to shift my dtc winners to individual ads but I'm unable to get post id due to some technical issues.ive contacted meta but still not able to extract id What to do? Should I replicate the winner of dct in winner adset from scratch or what!
Great Content, i just have a question, so technically facebook takes people that interacts with the ad by clicking, commenting, sharing or even just stopping and watching and tries to find similar people to show them my ads ? like a natural lookalike in a way ?
Hi again! Just to make sure i’m getting it right, if the last three days has a average CTA that is working for us but one day has not, should i wait and not scale up 20 % that specific day? Or should I always scale if the last three day average is hitting target? /Hanna
Please ,what does it mean when switched to my second ad manager after they restricted my first one ,i launch an ad but shows no impressions after 48 hours ,i tried to switch to my third account it says i need à New page. What do suggest please.
Hi Nick! In general how long does a scaling process take for a business? How fast does meta react to the incresed budget? When I start scaling my account , is it suppose to take a while of scaling up + 20% and scaling down 20% or does it mean our ads are bad if we can’t continue scaling up every day in the beginning? Hope you understand my question! /Hanna
Hi Nick, Thanks for great value. My ad account is running for < than a year with +30K€ total ads spend and I want to switch to a new campaign structure to optimise my testing and scaling but mostly simplify all the process. Your seems great. How would you recommend to operate the switch and make the change to this new ads account structure ? I don't want to lost all my previous data or crush my actual sell. Thanks for your help
When first creating an ad account, do you have separate adsets, one main and one testing? Or simply one main adset and you can just test creatives in there? in your DCT video 11 months ago you put "winning ads" into the one main adset created, but if you had not tested any ads previously then there would be nothing to put in main adset. so in one of your most recent videos you begin with one adset and 8 creatives, is that the main adset itself? and after creating dcts based on winning ads do you then put winning ads back into that main adset?
Hey Nick, as always, value content! One question, how do you come up with your target NC-PA? Lets say I have a product spelling for $20 and the product cost + shippnig is $6, what would the ideal NC-PA be?
Hello, Ads give me a very good result and I usually make a similar amount of revenue every month, but I don't know how to scale(every day same budget), I don't know what data to look at and make it my target and then increase the budget, what do you suggest? Thank you

Thank you Nick! I enjoy your content.. one Question , I am advertising to worldwide which gave me alot of success in the past.. I was wondering which ad structure should I use for testing CBO. Since you said 1 country per campaign. For WW Should I stack countries into single adset?
1 country pr campaign is much more, it involves creating a new shopify pr country that is in native langauge + currency. If you're not doing that, then just stick to all of them stacked in one adset.
@@NickTheriotHey! Why not just use shopify markets instead of creating a new shopify for every country? Really complicated and time consuming when selling in Europe to lots of countries. You think the conversion will be that much better because of the url?
Yes we have all our clients and they convert 10x better. 1. Ads in the native language 2. Website in the native language 3. Currency in the native Start off with one country and expand @@johnnypersson8737
Hi Nick, there's 2 strategies I have you seen talk about in your recent videos which confused me a bit. Which one is your new main strategy for this year? 1. CBO, Between 3-5 DCT ad sets on at the time. Leaving the winning DCT ad sets on and testing new ones to leave on as well, meaning you can only have 3 winning DCT's to continue testing new DCT's (2-3 a week) 2. CBO, 3-5 DCT ad sets + 1 ad set with collection of winning ads. Meaning you put all of the winning post-ID's into the winning ad set and turn the DCT off once it takes off in the winning ad set. Let me know :)

hey there Nick, thank you so much for the video, I am based in New Zealand, thinking to start, considering a so much smaller market. Hey Nick you're really smart. This video is very informative. Quick question, i have a dropshipping store selling only in Australia. I have started your 3.2.2 method since a month ago and it's doing ok. I have 2 winning post ID ( from another CBO/INTEREST campaign i did before and use them in the Main ad set. Both winning ads are doing well. My daily budget is $100 now but since last week when i started scaling (20%/ $120) no sales for 3 days, then i scale down to $100 and it pick up again. I did this twice and i want to scale above $100. Thanks from Australia
Great content as usual! Does the Ecom client usually have a high-quality photos for the product from different angles? and what if he doesn't have should we hire a photographer then?
Top video as usual. I always wondered why media buyers like you don’t run their own e-commerce? I mean you have all the knowledge on the field and make good profit for others, why not for yourself perhaps?
I don't want to deal with customer service, fulfillment, and inventory. I rather come into a business, make a couple banger ads, scale them from $50k a month profit to $1m pr/mo profit and take 10% of that
Hi Nick, love the content..question, running this set up what if you have an ad crushing it for a year, 700+ likes and 400+ comments. Can a newly formed dct with 3-7days spend as mentioned if good enough compete with an ad like this? What’s your take on this.
Absolutely, as it doesn’t matter about the original ad if the new one is better. More people that like they ad, will push it harder and beat the original
I've been trying your method for 3 months now and my new DCT's can never beat my 2 year old ad that has 30k+ reactions on it. I can't help but think if some of these new creatives had the same amount of social proof they would do just as well. Have you ever seen an old ad with a lot of social proof be dethroned? @@NickTheriot
I have been trying this strategy and campaign structure now since this video came out. I have one question and hopefully, someone can explain it to me. I have a clear winner of the first three ad sets that I tested and since then have tested about 12 more and still, it is on top. But how will that first ad ever beat if it is the one with all the likes, comments, and shares on it since every new ad has no likes, comments, and shares? I hope that makes sense.
I know you probably won’t read this, but I put my winning creatives in another adset within this campaign, in this video you don’t dont do this anymore right?

So 1 DCT is 1 Creative with 3 different hooks, 2 body copy, 2 headlines? Or 3 Different creatives, 2 body copy, 2 headlines?
3 creatives, one with each a different visual hook
2 body copies (1 winner + 1 new)
2 headlines (1 winner + 1 new)
@@NickTheriot So lets say I have 1 VSL that I have done, and I do 3 different hooks for that VSL, thats 3 creatives? Or should it be 3 different VSLs that count for the 3 creatives in one DCT.
That's 3 different creeatives. Same vsl for each, just a different visual hook on each
@@NickTheriot If this DCT works do I just keep that ad and that adset and just increase the whole cbo budget or do you also put that post id in a "main" adset in that CBO for like the winner ads?
Thanks in advance!
Hello, if I'm based in Europe but I advertise in the USA, should I keep the ads live all the time or is it better to show them during peak hours only? Because I noticed fb is spending the majory of the budget when in the USA is night and so when buyers are less active.
Keep them live
Great content Nick, as always! I have a question that you can answer if you have some time. When we start spending money for an e-comm brand that doesn't have a huge budget to begin with, should we start with very open audiences or should we start with lookalike/custom audiences and slowly build on the custom audience? The assumption here is that the e-commerce website has decent past customer data that it can use to create lookalikes.
You don't have the budget to test audiences. Need to focus on what is going to create the biggest impact = creatives
2 questions, if I’m starting a new business account do you recommend pairing the sales campaign with an awareness and traffic campaigns to create flow to profile?
And if I don’t have data would you recommend keeping the CBO or switching to ABO?
NO. Just go straight to cbo and purchase
@@NickTheriot the campaign gets good amount of following?
Hi Nick, great video thank you! How do you approach your strategy to help the client sell products across their range? When we have a winning ad, one product does very well and sells but the client naturally wants to promote products across the range rather than majority of their sales only coming from one product. Do you have any advice?
That's where we use email / sms. All our multi product clients, focus on one product for faceebook ads and use the others to sell through email sms
Thanks Nick!
how many ads does each ad set have? do you only put one ad or test batches at a time
I do one dynamic ad pr adset, i go deeper into it here th-cam.com/video/hetcJfDJt_4/w-d-xo.html
@@NickTheriot thank you! I understand now. Again sorry for the questions but when do you decide the reason you’re not seeing results is the creatives or just the product you’re selling

Superb! Picked up so much more on the second watch of this!! Do you launch your 2-3 DCT's for the week at the same time at the start of the week of stagger them throughout the week?
Usually like to do at the same time at the start of the week
Thanks for the always great content! Watched this already like 2 times, but now I rewatched it and it's much more clearer to me.
Great to hear!
Hey Nick! Do you have any video about using Retargeting audiences?
And, do you only use the CBO | Broad to your TOF or cold audiences?
I just do cbo broad for all, i put retargeting style ads inside the same adset as my "tof" ads adset
Hey Nick. Thank you very much for the Video. Should be "Advantage+ Audience" be on or off? Wondering, because if I duplicate with new Asset, Meta will make new decisions and begins again?
I've been leaving it off
If you submit an image and it has a warning icon on it, would that affect the performance of the ad?
Depends on what the warning is
Great content! I'm running direct to instagram ads for a company and Facebook won't let me run dynamic ads. How do test those when you have 20+ images? Run a gigantic CBO?
I would just toss a couple at a time in one adset
Hi Nick - amazing video! Do you ever turn off DCT's earlier than 3-7 days if there is little spend and also high frequency?
Never earlier than 3 days

Hey nick quick question , Should i put all Different products ad set in 1 campaign or each campaign for each products
For ex i have 4 products in my shopify stores should i have only 1 campaign for them together or 4 campaign for each products
Thank you 🙏🏻
I would try 1 campaign, unless the products are very different. I would also only focus on one product that is making majority of sales
Hi Nick, great content like always. You are saying usualling 2 new DCTs per 3-7 Days. Does it mean you start always 2 at the same day or . one after 3 day and the oder 3 days later?
Sorry maybe I missed this information in one video :) thanks for the answer.
the seconde Question is. I have now on my Main broad Campain Advantage+ audience on, how should i turn of? Update the campaing on just duplicate and turn off. or start from scratch with new main campain but turned off..
I like to launch them both at the same time
I would just create all new dct’s with a+ turned off

Hi Nick! In general how long does a scaling process take for a business? How fast does meta react to the incresed budget? In a perfect world, you can scale up by 20% everyday BUT if ads are not good OR product, then it will cause delays

We own a Clothing business / production,
I'm also a big fan of Icon and I was a student of the Onuha bro's....
would you recommend to put sales in your creatives? Cause if you want to keep using that creative in your main adset it's better to not use sales in your creatives (could be misleading) right?
Example: putting "Jolly January Sale: 20% off ... " text in the video or headline.
When we do a sale, we'll create seperate ads for it, then turn it off when it's over. We'll still run these as dct's in our main campaign

1. Ads in the native language
2. Website in the native language
3. Currency in the native

Hi Nick, there's 2 strategies I have you seen talk about in your recent videos which confused me a bit. Which one is your new main strategy for this year?
1. CBO, Between 3-5 DCT ad sets on at the time. Leaving the winning DCT ad sets on and testing new ones to leave on as well, meaning you can only have 3 winning DCT's to continue testing new DCT's (2-3 a week)
2. CBO, 3-5 DCT ad sets + 1 ad set with collection of winning ads. Meaning you put all of the winning post-ID's into the winning ad set and turn the DCT off once it takes off in the winning ad set.
Let me know :)
We've started to just leave winning dct's on. (1)
There's nothing wrong with #2, just we weren't seeing many dct's take offf in the winners adset

Yes

What about if something is working on fb you don’t touch it to disturb the algorithm? How do you do creative testing? In existing campaign or a duplicate onw
Hey Nick love your content just one quick question why do you add 3 videos in one ad set? Rather than 1 video for each
I'm doing a dynamic ad, makes it easier for testing and less time on my end to setup

Good stuff man, question..you mentioned if we are dropshipping, which I am, so this campaign style structure also works for dropshipping? And is it for testing dropshipping products or scaling them? Keep the videos coming!

I always wondered why media buyers like you don’t run their own e-commerce?
I mean you have all the knowledge on the field and make good profit for others, why not for yourself perhaps?

Absolutely, as it doesn’t matter about the original ad if the new one is better. More people that like they ad, will push it harder and beat the original

I've been trying your method for 3 months now and my new DCT's can never beat my 2 year old ad that has 30k+ reactions on it.
