Hi! This video is really helpful. I still have a question:
I initially thought one would start with DCT‘s for the baseline, however, you now only used 1 creative for each Ad is that right?
After having the baseline built, you will then start with DCT‘s by building around the best baseline Ad and its angles to create the best possible first round DCT.
The best DCT will then be copied over into the Main Adset and after it takes off, the initial DCT will just be turned off.
-> Then one will sort of rinse and repeat (so create new DCT‘s - and also take new angles into consideration? - and improve on the last DCT‘s and if one is better than the whole main Adset, it will be copied over. The others in the main adset will stay though.)
    Also another second small question:
Should one create an ad which doesn‘t really appear as an ad but rather as an organic post to create authenticity as a lot of people often just skip ads? (If yes, would then a normal organic photo - here obviously example for photos - with maybe some emotions or an aesthetic feeling work alone, so no editing whatsoever?)
Also, do you link your Facebook and Shopify, so have an App/Addon in Shopify or some sort and where can I download your Excel Sheets for CPA etc.?

Nick, do you think a brand new ad account has the same potential success as an "old ad account" having in mind the ads has been made the right way. For example: if we take the same product and same winning ads and place them into both accounts is there any difference in the performance overall? talking about from losing money to break even or so? been wondering this also meta marketing pro guys told me that there is a significative difference outcome in both scenarios but i'm not sure about what they usually say

LOVE your stuff Nick! Just launched DCT's for a clothing brand client. Mind giving a quick feedback?
1 Adset - 3 Videos - the exact same videos with just a different visual hook. 2 copys, 2 headlines.
    CBO 75€/day, since 75€ AOV.
Gonna leave it 3 - 5 days. If profitable, make a main Adset and copy the Ad in there with the Post Id. If it starts getting spend in the main adset, turn off the Ad in the testing Adset.

If not profitable, turn the adset off and launch a new adset with new "angle".

Planning to do 2 tests per Week. Have a range of 75-150€ day, but starting with 75€ just to test things out.
Is it the right approach so far? Thanks in advance!!!

@@NickTheriot thanks g, also I had a question that my profile just recently got locked and I have started all my ads again on a new account with fresh new pixel and it’s been more than 7 days now. Started to get profitable days after it gets optimised but the thing is that with the old account with old pixel the winning ad which was taking most of the spend on the old account is not taking the most spend on the new account with the new pixel and it’s an another creative which is taking the most spend. So is that because of just new pixel data being collected. And I can start launching DCTs after 7 days on the new account right after checking which takes the most?

Hi Nick, Thanks again for coming out with quality content. Just one question, we have an online jewelry store since we test the designs of jewelry with 15-20 units per design and restocking them takes 15-20 days. If a design works well and we decide to restock it and create the same adset again, how much performance impact would be there considering the 15-20 day gap.

And what do you do with the remaining ads in the main broad adset that didn’t get much spend + 0 purchases? Do I kill off that ad concept completely? Or try optimizing their hooks & then let them run again for another 2-3 days

    2) Only set up only the "lead" action when the user fills up the contact form and gets redirected to thank you page?

    Question1)
As I have a new ad account with a daily limit of $50, but I want to test 6 countries simultaneously, I'm considering targeting these 6 countries broadly in one campaign. My reasons are:
    a) My target audience is Chinese-speaking, so targeting one country might not be broad enough.
    b) Due to account spending limits, I can't scale by creating separate campaigns for each country.
What would you recommend in this situation?
    Question2)
Regarding your emphasis in various videos about copying winning DCT (Dynamic Creative Testing) ads into the main ad set without dynamic creative enabled:
After watching several of your videos, I understand that copying is optional. The purpose of copying is to allow the main ad set to fully leverage the resonating aspects behind each successful ad creative. This helps the algorithm absorb more data points that resonate with the audience. My understanding is that after copying, there's no need to turn off the winning DCT ad as long as the campaign's CPA remains within 5-10% of the performance target.
    Additionally:
    a) If a DCT spends a significant amount but doesn't generate conversions or sales, we should turn it off.
    b) If a DCT isn't spending, it suggests the targeting isn't broad enough. In this case, we should change the creative and turn off the current DCT.
    c) If a DCT's CPA (Cost Per Acquisition) metric increases the overall campaign's CPA beyond acceptable limits, we should turn it off.
    d) When the number of DCT (Dynamic Creative Testing) ad sets within budget range exceeds the set limit - for example, if I have 7 DCT ad sets running when your limit is 5 - should take action. In this case, you should turn off the DCT ad sets that are no longer spending or those that are underperforming.
So,We only turn it off if the DCT's performance declines and negatively impacts the overall campaign goals. Then, we create new creative DCTs to beat these previously winning ads, repeating the process until we find a DCT ad that can spend 50% of the budget while improving overall campaign performance. Is my understanding correct? Is my understanding correct?
    Question3)
Due to recent changes in Facebook's ad account system, it's no longer possible to directly copy the winning dynamic creative ID to the main ad set. I'm curious about how you're handling this now. Are you simply creating a new ad and inserting the dynamic creative elements into it? Or is there a workaround that allows you to copy the ID of the dynamic creative ad into the main ad set?

      1. focus on one country
      2. copying does not have any benefits, that is why we moved away from it
      a. yes
      b. no it just means people do not resonate with that creative
      c. yes
      d. doesn't matter

Hey Nick. I just came across your channel today. I wanted to jump on here to thank you for offering so much valuable information for free. I ran some Facebook ads in the past without really understanding the in-depth research and the 3-6 different marketing hypotheses. That was an ah-ha moment for me when watching this video. I know you refer to a lot of E-Commerce products on here, but will this same "broad targeting" strategy work for an online fitness business running a low ticket fitness challenge? Or should I really try to narrow my audience? Just curious if I can apply the same strategy because I'm hopeful after hearing this new strategy. Thanks.

I've only discovered this channel yesterday, and it is THE bomb :) you may actually be my life saver. I've been wanting to throw my laptop out the window for the past few weeks, struggling with ads for several months now, following advice of all these "gurus', who all go on about the absolute importance of very detailed targeting, remarketing, marketing, social media posting, lookalikes, reels, engagement etc., and it just doesn't work! The only time it sort of worked was in the very beginning when I thought I don't know what I'm doing, but I still decided to give it a go, and went pretty broad, still with targeting though such as "sports". I wanted to go all broad, I mean how can a human expect to beat the algorithm right? But then the gurus said no, you need to go with "deadlift" or "gymshark" or " peppa pig" or "gummy bears" at least.... Exclusions, inclusions, narrowing down, retargeting.... And everything went downhill. So from now on I'm with you, and my intuition :)

Hey Nick, this video is excellent! I have a question on the different hypotheses and how that plays out in ad sets. Let's say I have a brand that I've never advertised for and I am following along this video. I have 3 different hypotheses - my brand appeals to women because they can use my product at girls night, my product applies to families because they can use it with their kids, my product applies to a specific person that loves X. I create ads based off these 3 hypotheses like you say in the video and find one winning ad. That one winning ad only applies to one of the hypotheses just listed. I then do the DCT. Does that mean I never will run ads for, let's say, targeting girls for a girl night bc it didn't out perform the other hypotheses? I don't really get how that portion works. I basically want to advertise to different niches and target them specifically with ads and creatives that apply directly to them, but if one hypothesis out performs the other, then do I not even run with it? Thanks in advance for your help!

For ad accounts that already have few winning ads that are in the Main adset, and currently testing new DCT'S using your strad:
When creating new dct's each week, are you supposed to make the ads target a different audience then what's already winning?
For example: If I'm targeting a necklace that its main target is older women looking for quality jewelry, would I make a creative in the new dct based of this topic, or create a new persona/angle to try to bring new people like maybe younger audience with a younger targeting creative...
    THANKS! And btw AMAZING vid!
