As if that wasn't bad enough, he was also ostracized in school, his love of money rubs many people the wrong way, and he died once. Oof, glad he didn't grow up to be a jerk villain.
Honestly, I hope he doesn't. Although in a bad situation, she did abandon him, leaving him to suffer at the hands of his father on his own. Kinich was younger than 7 when he obtained freedom, and we do know that he suffered alone for possibly a year. In a way, situations like that remind me of a saying, "All children deserve a parent, but not all parents deserve a child." Kids don't choose to live and suffer, so most of the domestic suffering a child takes is the responsibility of their parents regardless of the situation. She was responsible for his safety, and she left him. The only way her actions are excusable to me is if she died trying to get help to rescue him from the violence.
@@mittenvonscrufflears7233 yeah, growing up with an alcoholic parent who would beat the living daylights out of the other. It's all to familiar. Thank god that everything is better now.
I feel like this is just a thing exclusive to genshin characters. Unlike honkai characters where most of their stories seem unrealistic (not in a bad way tho cuz it gives us more original stories), most genshin characters have stories that are relatable to a variety of the audience. Kinich with his dad issues, gaming's dilemma which alot of asian folks can agree with, lynette's aloofness due to her being almost SA'd, Kaveh's empathy backfiring him, Layla's insomina, Barbara's wish on catching with Jean (which is also pretty common among siblings), Ororon's feeling of repaying the debt and finding himself which is pretty common in people in their 20s
I myself didn't have the happiest childhood. But I still believe people can change through experience.... One day, Kinich will realize that life is so much more than a transaction. ❤
Same here. My dad didn't die, though. Actually, a while after the divorce, my dad realized how lonely he was and that he should start treating me better because I was all he had and I was going to be an adult soon so I could leave him if I wanted to. Well, at least that's what I speculate caused the change in him. He agreed to go to therapy, and after years of grueling work, we've actually gotten to a place where we're like... almost healthy. He still has a slight temper, occasionally he'll get triggered by something I do that reminds him of my mom and he'll lash out(not physically), his addiction is a lot better but I think it could use a little work, and he still hasn't quite learned how to do "family bonding time" or go out and have fun in general, but at least he'll usually say yes when I ask(better than it was before where it was either ignoring or giving me the wrong kind of attention). I trust that we'll get to a fully healthy place eventually. I'm really glad I didn't give up and abandon him. Everyone wants a father who loves them, after all. I really can't speak for other toxic relationships, I think it all depends on how much work the other person is willing to put in(it took my dad being completely alone and cancer to realize that he needed to start changing), and you never know how much work they're going to put in unless you try it, risking all the anguish and potential danger it takes to find out. Maybe I don't know when to walk away, I just know I'm really glad I didn't, but I wouldn't think that others who do walk away are wrong for it. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to get to where I am today, and I think it was worth it, but I won't shame anyone else for being unwilling to pay that price, if the reward of a healthy relationship is possible. I'm still pretty young, and I realize I need to do a lot of self-discovery to finally experience life to the fullest, but I think that work is going worth it. At one point, I thought it wasn't, and I was ready to throw it all away, I'm really glad I didn't give up on that, too. Sorry for the dump, I just really relate to Kinich's story and wanted to share my story of how everyone is capable of change
His childhood must indeed have been pretty rough for him but it atleast feels satisfying that Kinich still made good with what he had and worked for and realized after his resurrection and being granted a Vision that there's more to fight for in his life then just Mora, shows that Scaramouche could have handled his past trauma much more gracefully even though just like Kinich what happend to him was not his fault.
Scaramouche got disowned and arlecchino friend the biological daughter of king of hearth mother previous owner harbinger did do domestic abuse with torture experiment with dottore wym etc
@ericx6969 Hat guy got the abandonment treatment. Arlecchino got the uncaring parent treatment. At least she got fed. As for the doctor, he just commits war crimes
See that's exactly why you gotta love and protect your Kinich my fellas, pull for him and take him on adventures with you. PS. I read somewhere that Kinich doesn't have anemo vision because he didn't sought his own freedom, it anything he's in a contract with Ajaw.
He did somewhat sought freedom (running away from his father) but more so, he sought wisdom and experience. Learning from a young age how to cook, hunt. By the age of 6 he practically knew how to survive. It’s only that when he died, he had experienced something new and learned something new. Probably why he then got the vision. Freedom is something he wanted temporarily in his childhood , wisdom is something he needed all the time. Probably the difference because who would give a child a vision.
It's scary how much I related to Kinich's backstory. The only difference is that instead of just one parent, both my "parents" were abusive. With how shit his childhood has been, it's good to see how he didn't take a darker path in life.
Honestly with the way his story is,,, He might aswell be an honorary anemo member, though he doesnt have a anemo vision The way he swings in the wind should be enough to say that he now sort of has freedom to just live
I see myself in him. My dad beat my mother when they were still together but mom moved away Its my sister that beats me up when shes mad (shes 20+ and studying to be a psychologist)
You should do more genshin lord read along there so good. You don't have to do one about the characters. You can do it for a npc, Location in Teyvat, or Historic in the game.
The requirement was Dead Friend, not Dead Parent. And most Dendro Peeps (Alhaitham, Kaveh for example) are now living alone with only friends to keep them company.
I'm used to that kind of back story about childhood. Wait what about Chasca being raised by a saurian? Lol. Well I'm not a Hater. I love Kinich but he's childhood story wasn't that miserable. As for me I will still pick the worst back story was Wanderer's
