To those who think a 12 inch rim is small...I still prefer the original 10 inch rims. A bit bumpier on rough roads, but less chance of damaging your sidewall. Shame about how much they flex in corners, though - but they still managed to handle bloody well. :-)

ok im real happy youve seen the light. i cant stand by and let the facts go un heard though. they first came out in 1959, not 69. they started off with an 850cc engine. in 1962, they realeased the first coopers and later they released the cooper S. biggest engine they were released with was the 1275. they did that in many forms but ultimately it came in single point and multi point injection from rover. there have been numerous recreatiosn over the years. one of the most notable tuning versions is probably the ERA turbos which i believe were released in the 90s. very desirable. tonnes of different kits available and id wager one of the biggest aftermarket communities of any car. but then what can you expect after a car has been out for nearly 60 years.
Minis are like Switzerland, neatral car territory. Lovely car and i wonder (i have mo experince with Mini) if the dash and light was stock, looked rather cozy there.

Miss my Mini. Put a 1.3i turbo out of a Metro in mine, and a 25bhp wet NOS system. Lasted 2 months until it went bang!
I have a 106 Rallye without power steering it's brilliant. A pain in the arse and you get a good bicep workout at low speeds, but a joy to drive above 10mph! 🚗

I went from mini to mx5. Still have my mini but sold my mx5. I would stick with mazda however unless you have good mechanical knowledge
