I always try to find floats. No luck so far, other than the thousands in the gift shops. Great video, as always. Hobbit Beach is definitely on my list.
I should have watched this before I spent two days in the area. I saw a lot, but would have found more with your info. Well, maybe I need to make it day three in the area.
Depot Bay is where scenes from the movie, "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest," with Jack Nicholson and Louise Fletcher were shot. Most of the rest of the movie was filmed in Salem Oregon I believe.
Wow...this was a really good video! Not that your others aren't good, just that this one was really good and informative. Thanks for sharing your adventures! What are your winter plans?
I've been through that stretch of coastline many times. I have no plans to return until after the Cascadia Subduction Zone earthquake. The Cascadia Subduction Zone is offshore along the Oregon Coast. Geologists say that the quake is overdue, it will be about a 9.0 with aftershocks, and about 100,000 people will die.
@@LyfeUntethered I am in Albany - about 60 miles east of Newport. I feel rather safe here. There will be a huge number of people coming into the Willamette Valley by National Guard Helicopter. The dams in the Cascade Range could fail. Do not be downstream of any of them.
The dams in the Cascades were built only to 6.0 earthquake standards. A 9.0 off the coast might break some of those dams. Downtown Sweet home could be washed away.
Real estate agents and brokers are required to divulge this information to all potential buyers, but they don't do it. They are violating state law, and the Oregon State Real Estate Commission is letting them do it.
"More lighthouses than any other state in the country" is such an unnessessarily false statement. I get trying to make your video exciting, but come on man. Michigan holds that distinction with well over 100.

A correction. Michigan has the most lighthouses of any state in the country.
