Wilmington Delaware Hoods (Murdertown USA)

Wilmington Delaware is the states largest city with about 70,000 residents but because of all the chemical and financial companies many people work there. The city has one of the highest crime rates in the nation and is nicknamed murdertown USA with a violent crime rate 250% above the national average. However the city has old historic homes and a clean downtown. I didn’t find Wilmington to be that bad and I had a great time there it’s a very underrated city. The racial makeup is about 50% black and 30% white with small Asian, Hispanic and Arab populations scattered throughout.

Lived there many years! Walked thru every single hood in wilmington including riverside, Bennet street, west side, Southbridge and north side! Not as dangerous as it is made out to be! Poverty stricken for sure!

Maybe it's just me, but compared to where I grew up, this looks like a really nice place. I didn't see any litter or graffiti and the properties looked pretty much kept up.

@@anthonytripp2251as a delawareian a lot of what’s going on in Wilmington didn’t used ta be here a lot of shit is recently gentrified n a lot of buildings were brought back to life still I stay out the city
