I love these videos because it shows being in Harvard doesn't make you a huge nerd (despite stereotypes) that is obsessed with school and education only. Students can be cute and trendy even if they go to a school that is known for academics (I don't even know if this comment makes sense).
I would HATE having to live in the common room, people coming through and walking into my space constantly. I would not like that at all, but Im a really private person and would rather not have everyone see my stuff constantly and not being able to be sure someone isnt having access to my things anytime I wasnt there

Succulents do best NOT BEING WATERED! They are a drought tolerant plant and do best barley watered! Especially in the winter time. That is good you have them by the window to get as much sun as possible. But also keep them dry as possible with occasional watering I would say once every 3-4 weeks. You want the soil bone dry🌿 love the dorm tour!😁
American university baffles me, like 5 people in basically an apartment and one living in the living room, I mean I love what you’ve done with your room - in England we all have separate rooms every like 5-8 bedrooms shares a kitchen and a couple WC’s and shower rooms (unless like me you get the en-suite room then you just share a kitchen) and your not aloud to stick anything in the walls not even with Blu-tac 🙃 just don’t understand why 18 year olds loving to uni end up living in a tiny room with a stranger it’s so weird 😂
Sarah Hylton many universities in the United States are very popular and get many students a year so it would be quite difficult to give a room for each student. It would be more expensive. Unless it is a private school
bloated and alone a lot of UK uni’s get a lot of applicants too - that’s why some only have accommodation for first years and then after that you find private accommodation usually a little further from campus it’s just a strange concept to me to move out into a shared bedroom for uni - like I can’t think of one uninin engkand that does that it’s all own rooms the difference is if you have an en-suite or a shared bathroom and 99% share kitchens
I’m not saying the room is big either I’ve lived in 3 different uni accommodations I’ve had a ton tiny room that just fit a bed, small wardrobe, tiny en-suite and a desk - I’ve had a massive room I could have put a couch in if I so desired - the standard size is somewhere in between though
I am from England to I go to Exeter uni and they have an accommodation that has shared rooms and I know the royal Holloway has an accommodation like that to. So there are some but definitely not as common.
Literally in awe because we have the exact same style and color scheme for our dorms. I move in as a freshman at BGSU in august and im addicted to watching these dorm tour videos

For your drawers to keep them more organized, roll everything and put them right side up, it takes up SO much less space plus you can see everything without digging under other stuff

When I hang my glasses, I put up a command hook and a metal hanger on it and have my sunglasses hang off of the hanger and it looks really nice and its really easy

Try finding some candle warmer plates in Amazon. They are amazing. It releases the scent of the candle without an open flame-- total lifesaver.
