Hey wonderful Granny. How are you? Loved this podcast thanks. Loved being shown a peek at Lisbon thanks 🥰 We are in NZ, but my adult son was there in Lisbon 10 days ago. So your heat wave must have come through after that? Well, you can send some of that heat down to us please.....winter....and it is dragging now!! 🥶. Loved your run through of wips and plans. They all look great. I think cardigans are versatile and even though I have thrashed out a lot of men's jerseys for our adult family, I am now knitting cardis for a while. Just finished Caidree's Dunes cardigan in polwarth....so comfy. Knitting on Isabell Kraemer's Copenhagen Calling cowl, male colours and replaced the lace with 3x1 rib, for Boston's winter....adult son. I hope you start to feel settled there soon but I guess it is a process and journey isn't it? Your pottery espresso cups are gorgeous. Nicely chosen! 🥰👋
Helloo Sharon. Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I'm doing well, thank you for asking. How are you coping? I'm sort of envious at your winter haha... It's always special to sit and knit with a nice hot drink and a blanket over you. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the podcast and the little peek at Lisbon. It must have been a close call with the heat wave- I'm glad your son was spared. Cardigans are always great to have and I think you can never have too many! It's the perfect layering piece. Your Dunes cardigan sounds so cozy - seeing the product photos now and it looks like a warm hug. Settling in here is definitely a process, I appreciate your kind words. I think I'll just keep at it and one day I'll be more fluent - maybe I might even get a tan !? (extremely wishful thinking) Happy knitting, and stay warm! Sending some Lisbon heat your way
I could listen to you talk for hours. You have such a soothing voice. I’m already subscribed. Good luck with the TH-cam, I’ll look forward to the next one Forgot to say, I’ve got the Ingrid sweater, one of many wips, on my needles at the moment
Wow, what a compliment - thank you so much for your many nice words, Victoria! The Ingrid sweater is such a classic, I made one last year for a little girl and I love the fit of it. Which yarn are you using for yours? It seems like everyone has a lot of WIPs on their needles right now - including me! And I usually stick to one project at a time. Must be something in the air.
just found your channel. thank you for sharing a little bit around lisbon with us! i love the ceramics in that store. I've been learning Spanish for about 5 years now and i'd love to learn Portuguese one day as I really like the way it sounds. i love the sound of the crochet edging on your feminine cardigan idea. i think it will be very girly and elegant.
Obrigada eu! (= No, thank you!) It's a fun and challenging language to learn. I have an app called Memrise that I use every day that's really good for learning European Portuguese specifically - there's a great deal out there that teaches you Brazilian Portuguese which is slightly different. How are you learning Spanish? Knowing Spanish will definitely help you. OH also there's a lady on TH-cam called Liz who has a "learn Portuguese" channel called "talk the streets" - love her. Yay, I'm glad you think these edges are a good idea. I'm thinking it might even be too girly but hey I'll give it a go and see how it turns out and if I don't like it I can always frog back. Frogging back two strands of mohair is .... omg I can't even think about it now
Super, I'm excited it resonates with you. I'll keep you updated on the vlog! I wanted it to feel like a blanket, so it's a bit heavy but perrrfect for being lazy in
Thank you Sarah, that makes me so glad to hear 🥰🫶 Not a real grandma just yet but my dog has shown interest in my neighbours dog lately so you never know when that will turn around
@@sarahlovesdonuts9601 Thank you! I'll keep you updated on the channel. I feel you.. There are so many good slipovers out there. Seriously considering having another go at the Vilma top to see if I can manage to get it right. Have also been eyeing the Lulu and Moby slipovers by Petite Knit for awhile 👀 Which ones do you have in mind?
I'd love to hear what's on your needles. Have you started planning for the next season yet?
Thanks for taking us around Lisbon! 😀

I’d love to test knit the Lazy Susie sweater if you make a pattern! The fluffy and relaxed style is very up my alley!

@@caffeinated_granny 😂😂. I look forward to seeing your patterns published! I’m agonizing over which vest to cast on and making plans for the fall.
