Hi Caf. Granny. I SO enjoyed your teaching. Every one was a true pearl. Thanks for teaching to pick up IN BETWEEN the stitches! Posture....yes, since we will be in that position many many hours....of choice ha. Yes, getting an idea of how the pattern is to be knit and how. Really good. Do other people forget like myself, HOW they knit the garment once finished?? Perhaps that is practice also. I mean, other than raglan and basic constructions. Glued to your podcasts thanks Granny....I hope you are well. 🥰

Ohh Sharon, you are always so lovely to me! I'm glad you're enjoying the knitting chit chat 🫶 And yes, I am totally guilty of completely blanking on how I knit my garments once they are finished...

i agree with all these tips! i think one mistake i made a few times was only measuring my gauge swatch after blocking, so that I knew I was matching the designers gauge. but knowing what it is pre-blocking helps a lot with figuring out the right length for sleeves and the body of sweaters. i had a few times where I only knew my post-blocking gauge and the sleeves ended up way too long after blocking as I couldn't really remember how much my swatch had grown when I blocked it.

Yes!! Sometimes it's specified in the pattern if gauge is pre or post block and I find that so helpful

Thanks for sharing. I made a lot of these mistakes as a beginner knitter. 🧶
