- For the past several months, ICONA has been converting the old Regal Plaza Hotel to their new brand, Mahalo Diamond Beach.
The hotel is almost ready and so we stopped by to get the inside scoop.

Looks beautiful and so much nicer. They really do it up right! And, of course, palm trees---the official tree of the Wildwoods!
Pool area is pretty much the same as the Regal Plaza.
I used to stay there when it was the Regal Plaza. Good times.

Thanks Joey its so wonderful to see my second home will be there the 25 only a little more than a week Away and going to so many of the new places I learned from you its so important to plan ahead because vacation goes by super fast and you help everybody paying attention to get the biggest bang for the buck and the best time we always have down the shore 😍

Any movement on the sand mountain in North Wildwood?
They did a very nice job but the shutters and palm trees are going to have a very hard time after a few good storms.. Thank you for your videos always enjoyable.

Any progress on the gutted former Ocean Holiday that has been stalled for three years? Now that it's past Memorial Day doubt they can do any more work, not that any was done during the winter.
I checked the place out during Memorial Day weekend they still had a lot of work to do
To be fair, there was not a whole lot of renovating to do. The former owners always took great care of the place.

The Mahalo is in Wildwood Crest not in Diamond Beach.

The address is Wildwood crest. Diamond Beach starts with the Grand

The Icona chain has so much $$$ they can do what they want. If they ever bought the Reges they would probably consider that Diamond Beach also.
Oh my God I just want to cry. This is not the Wildwood I grew up in. You actually said this screams Hawaii. If I wanted hawaii, I would go to Hawaii. I want Wildwood New Jersey. The little motels and the little bars that it used to be. I don't even know if I want to go again. It's just making me so sad
At one point we had 10 motels with Hawaiian theming.
