Wow !! I haven't had Wildwood Beach Sand between my toes since 1976. Once you get away from all of the changes that have taken place on the boardwalk since the 70's, and start walking that long North Beach hike towards the water's edge, it's almost as if the 70's never left us. By way of your video, I'm practically feeling everything you're experiencing : The hot sun on my shoulders, the tepid ocean water washing up on my feet, the faint sound of the thousands of conversations going on between the beach-goers, the aroma of suntan lotion everywhere, the (sometimes) burning sand against the soles of my feet, the engine of the airplane skirting high along the shoreline, the crashing of the waves, and of course, the sight of the fudgy-wudgy man making his way across the beach. I know I left a lot of things out. It's almost an overload of the senses. I will say one thing that's changed about that beach. Other than perhaps at the lifeguard station, I never saw ANY flags along the beach in the 70's.
Agree that parking was a nightmare, even during the week. Just came back from a North Wildwood trip two weeks ago and we were only a block from the boardwalk thankfully, so we didn't move our car much from the motel at all. While I'm glad for the cities and businesses picking up this year I honestly enjoyed it better last year with the smaller crowds myself.
Hey joey i just got back today with my girlfriend we stayed at Bolero as i always do for last 20yrs see Evrything open beach's are crowded ocean water just rite temperature and no restrictions
We normally stay at the ivanhoe motel or malibu we are canadian waiting for the borders to open i miss the ocean so much cant wait to be there .....since 1975 ...

Brings back happy times for sure. I walked that beach many times selling papers . Even the ice cream men are using different type of carts. Back in the day they carried a freezer box strp on there shoulders. I waalked the entire length of the beach north bound first from garfiels ave . Than back to garfield for later edition and heaaded south to diamond beach. I love the north wildwood beach the most i would finish up my long day which started at 10 am by returning down the beach to 18th stree and then home. we lived between new jersry and new york on the 18th street. Just down thw block from the old woody's cafe which i saw was torn down in one of your vedios. lIKE I SAID MANY HAPPY MEMORIES AND AFTER SEEING YOUR VEDIO I THINK BACK MORE ON THEM. THANK YOU FOR SHARING HAPPY BEACH DAY.
James, so you were one of the kids with the newspaper “sack” strap on your head, loudly and methodically saying, “Phillllllllllll-aaaaaa-dellllllllll-phiiiiiiiia Daiiiiiiily News…. Daily News HERE!” 😁
Thanks Joey, you outdid yourself. We can't wait. Our week is August 22. I'm making a list of all my favorite foods to bring and all the restaurants I want to visit. I have many wonderful childhood memories of North Wildwood in the area of 5th Street. I still mourn the loss of Moore's bar and restaurant and Westy's. What a great way, it was, to spend an afternoon.
Hi Joey!! Gonna have to make our way up that way. We have been all over but since we stay at AAHeart of Wildwood we just head right down to the Beach when we come down the steps from our hotel and up the boardwalk then right down the steps again onto the sand and down to the beach!! Love watching your videos. I am from Allentown Pennsylvania and my husband and I come down every year since we were kids with our parents, we later bought our children and hoping to bring the grandchildren next year!! Your videos are fun to watch. I watch them over again in the Winter because I Miss the Beach at Wildwood NJ and it gets me ready for the Summer Season. Thanks Joey you are Awesome!!!❤️😊🏖🏝🌞
Just came back from North Wildwood on Sunday, had a wonderful time. Restaurants are crowded & long waits , but that was over 4th of July. Just love that place. Made reservations for 2022.
My wife and I really enjoyed watching this video, Joey, and a big thanks to you for it! We've not been on the beaches of Wildwood for quite sometime (many different reasons) and this was done so well that it was like we were there. Especially loved "going for a swim" as the ocean looked so clean and inviting. Glad to know about the baskets for help keeping the beach clean upon entering too. We are always so thankful to All the Lifeguards as they have a challenging job on a daily basis, and know they are all so committed in keeping all the beach visitors safe when they're swimming. They're also very responsive and considerate when anyone goes to them with any questions. Again, thank you for your videos as we love them all since you give so much information that we can use. By the way, we've not gone to this particular part of Wildwood beach, and we want to go asap. Years ago, we'd usually go to the beaches in the Crest, but the walk to the water's edge is a bit too far now we think so seeing this vid is helpful!
It hurts me so much to see what I am missing again this year. We usually sit near 19th ave. Hopefully the borders will reopen soon between Canada and USA.
As a kid, we’d always park by the big whale 🐋 mural to go to the Boardwalk down in Wildwood. But we used to stay at La Quinta Towers in Wildwood Crest/Diamond Beach area! It was always a fantastic vacation.

Hey. I finally got down to Wildwood last week. It definitely changed since 2018 (the last time I was there). I didn’t want to leave. It was a great 3 day two night stay.

Over the past few years we have really come to love Wildwood Crest because that’s where we stay, but we like to walk up and down the coast near the water during our week or two of vacation (plus that way the sunburn is even by the time we leave 😉😎)
Great. Go to 16th street. 1st week of August. Massive family reunion. Coyles or matthews. Parisses. There will b like 50 people or more. With tons of kids. Thanks u. Great video
Thanks Joey looks like big fun! Yes you are correct best lifeguards in Wildwood New Jersey. My old friends who I lost contact with George Altiri and his brother where life guards many years ago in the late seventies early 80s. Wish I haven't lost contact with George Altieri he was a great guy he dated my girlfriend, so if you're out there George hello.

I would like to go from July 25-31. Just having a hard time finding a 1 bedroom suite for my family. It's a family of 4 and need a Private bedroom. Just hope I can find somehwere in time. Take care guys and enjoy
I went to Wildwood Beach yesterday with three of my little brothers, Joseph, Zach, and Jeremiah. Here's how it went. I woke up and changed into my bathing suit and beach clothes. I went to the boys' room to wake up my brothers. Zach said, "I'm sleeping. I'll take you guys to the beach in the morning." I told him that it was already 11 something AM and that I was already all dressed and packed up to go to the beach. He then woke up and I went to wake up my other brothers. Jed said that he wasn't gonna go since his tummy was hurting. Seth said that he also wasn't going because he was gonna have people over. Isaiah also said that he wasn't going because he just didn't wanna. So, after we were all ready, Zach first drove us to the store so he could buy stuff, like chicken, water, Joseph's ice-cream bars, and Jeremiah's Trolli gummy worms. Then we brought the stuff back home. Then Zach drove us to CVS so I can get my sunscreen. After CVS, he took me to the bank so I could get some money. After the bank, he drove us all to Wildwood. It was a long drive, which gives me a bad headache and bad chest pains. But when we got out, I started feeling better. Then we got to the beach, where we had to walk for a very long time. We set our stuff down on the beach and I stripped down to my bathing suit and went to swim in the water. I also collected some seashells. The boys also swam in the water. After we swam in the water, Jeremiah dug his toy crab, Herman, in the sand. Zach and Jeremiah gave me some beautiful seashells. I even found a beautiful seashell myself. After that, we all did some sunbathing. Jeremiah then started looking for his crab by digging in the sand. He even said in his cutest little voice, "Herman, where are you?" Me, Joseph, and Zach, all helped him dig. We used a shovel and even our hands. We spent hours digging in the sand until we found Herman. I put my clothes back on, but a different shirt. Then we all went back to the car, where the boys changed into their normal clothes. We then went on the boardwalk, where we went on some rides and played some games. I won a stuffed pig, which I named Wilbur. We al had so much fun. For dinner, we stopped at Joe's Pizza and had some pizza. But then, we all went home. It was a long car ride, which made my head and chest hurt. When we got home, we all went in. We told Mommy about everything. I even showed her my seashells. Then I went to bed while all the boys went to take their showers. I took a shower this morning.
