I was right where this footage is looking. My department in Westchester County, across the Hudson River, was called there for hours, and we were out on those tracks putting out the fire for hours. I feel horrible for all those affected, especially since I had the unique opportunity to see the damage from the ground
Good observation that's not a regular Bush fire in 3 different locations whats with all the train incidents this railroad carries the same chemicals that blew up in Ohio
I am an explorer of Piermont FD, I'm 13 years old. For an 13 year old, yes, I have great grammar. My friend works for PFD, my trainer. I had my radio on for hours listening! Really bad fire. This was all caused by a train passing by, and a little bit of sparks. My father's boss, Manhattan Beer Distributers is the second CEO, there's trains that has the beer on them, so my father is warning him to make sure no trains go by there.
This is exactly what happened from my pov, I'm twelve and I was on the bus. My Dad texted me to tell me that there was a massive brush fire and I didn't think anything of it until I got home and there was smoke all in the air and it was really cloudy. I then thought the fire was headed for my direction and it was but it was contained before it had the chance to get here. I had a panick attack for an hour straight and it was just really scary, I genuinely hope that nobody ever has to go through the fear that I did, that everybody's homes are okay and that everybody is ok and nobody has any injuries!
@@H3art_nova Wow! That must’ve been a surprise for you! I hope your ears were ok, if you heard any sirens. 😂 there were 26 departments that responded, I was one of them!
I live in haverstraw there was a fire in a baseball field which is close where I live and I'm currently far from haverstraw because the smoke is really thick God bless me and other people!
The smoke is black ? Very weird chemical burn????? I hope not also , the developers in haverstraw running out of land they might need more land to buy.
So We we’re watching the fire and my husband tried putting it out but he stepped a cm to close from the fire he burned him self and was found dead later at the hospital.. 😢 it was tragic my kids are still tearing up from yesterday

I thought brush fires had white smoke. Black smoke means buildings and people!
And rubber

Wow
No mention of the CSX train spraying sparks everywhere that caused the fire.
All it takes is one spark and it could be purely accidental, even the exhaust on the car can cause a fire
Was a spark from a train actually confirmed as the cause?
@@dwi189 there were multiple witnesses.
My friend lives half mile away. Soo many of these. Almost like it's ON PURPOSE
Facts
Coniditons have been prefect for fires for almost over a week now theirs been a few before this too.
OMG that is a massive fire I also saw smoke rising behind trees when I left school
That's what I call a BBQ in every American backyard. Happy 4th of july.🇺🇸
Traffic was crazy getting from work…

Man what is with these brush fires
Rockland county is under re flag warning, basically prefect conditions for a fire
Very dry + low humidity + wind
