'Heroes' is such a gorgeous rendition here. Always a joy to hear (and watch!) Thomas build up the iconic tracks like 'Hyperactive!'. Been a fan since I first heard The Flat Earth 40 years ago!
So.... this is what we missed in Cincinnati at the "Totally Tubular Festival" on Saturday July 27th. Thomas Dolby did not perform. It appears that he didn't have time to play his own music anyways? Just did cover versions of other band's music. Very disappointing. :(
He had covid in early July and missed a couple of the Totally Tubular shows, but he played at Cincinnati show on July 27th. Not sure why you think he didn't appear and are dissing him? th-cam.com/video/K6HoNmyNaN8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=S5n9C2eMwoQctkqt
... in the 1980's, sounds were "invented" by Dolby on analog computers... he just uses modern tools to create layered sounds more easily. Perhaps you were a master of the rotary phone back in the day, but use a cell phone today? (FYI: Thomas Dolby was the "creator" of original Nokia ring tone)
as both a Dolby & New Order fan ive died and gone to heaven

Oh cool. Marty Sender You Tube
Wow....sounds like a disaster ...
Cell phone recordings never capture the true live experience. His shows are AMAZING !
Whoa, i thought this guy invented sound… I didn’t realize he was folding-table laptop-live poor.

this is terrible!
He is amazing live, the soumd quality, the stories , the musicianship . The phone recording is the problem , not his sound
