Nice capture here Michael. It's really enjoyable to go to Seymour. :) Haven't been there since I chased the Southern Aurora 60th Anniversary special 2 years ago from Wagga Wagga. Great capture here mate.
Thanks! It's fairly common for hybrids to have the brief pause at the beginning, not sure why but guessing it could something to do with the crossing circuitry, maybe takes a brief moment for full power to come through?
@@McKHAust Maybe, I was thinking it could be something to do with the relays starting, similar to how crossing lights will typically very quickly flash when a crossing with an old mechanical flasher relay starts-up.
Eww. they gave the crossing red background crossbucks? Yuck! At least they didn't replace the bells. Also, you can tell when the crossing was upgraded with gates, they only just added the gate masts to it. Quite a cheap solution, but a nice one nonetheless.
I knew about the crossbucks but surprised they kept the hybrids, I did hear a while ago that the pedestrian crossing was supposed to be upgraded but seems like nothing has happened yet.

Thanks Josh :)
Great video and nice crossing! Love the hybrid bells, I wonder why they briefly pause after the first ring?

15:33 nice consist using a boxcar and some of the passenger cars are still in the red and gray
Reminds me of some crossings in the USA.
As of November 2022 the crossbucks have been replaced, but the hybrids remain
Crossing gates without the flashing lights mounted on the base. You don't see that everyday
Great Video! Such a shame that the N classes were all replaced with vlocitys :(
Thanks :)

Thats what my comment is about

@@McKHAust That's interesting. I don't think there's enough pedestrians here to warrant the upgrade IMO.
