@@RactupusRex got into the fashion rabbit hole and was dressing in a way that I didn’t feel happy dressing, came to the conclusion that wearing what you want and feel good in is the point of fashion.
Mfs have like one look, cropped tee or hoodie with baggy denim/cargos/whatever, ofc people hate on them. I‘ve started to HATE the word proportions in fashion because it’s become a buzzword for mfs who have no clue and think cropped top is the only proportion that exists
Amazing point about wearing something that has significance to you. Most of my favorite vintager tshirts in my collection reference things I actually care about or think looks cool. I'm not super huge into Harley Davidson so when i find their shirts I don't care to personally wear them myself.
Thanks! I’ve noticed I definitely wear clothing that has references to my interests more so I like to recommend it. It’s also a cool way to meet new people when they have similar interests.
The problem with denim on denim isnt when its two different shades, or the exact same shade. The danger zone is when the top and bottom are just *almost* the same shade. Theres not enough difference for their to be contrast, but just enough difference for the match to look slightly off. Mixing entirely different colours of denim is cool. A black or dark indigo jacket with white jeans really pops. I like to rock my grey acid wash slims with a medium blue jacket layered over a flannel mid-layer and a band tee as my base layer on top. Wear it a pair of Docs, Chucks, or any of the classic Vans models and you have a great fit for a punk or metal show. Blue and tan is another good look. For cuts of jeans, I'm a big believer in variety. I have pants ranging in cut from slims to Y2K-era phatties. I even dig loose tapered cuts. The only reason I don't do skinnies is because I'm not a six foot tall bean pole, I just don't have the body for true skinnies. It's nice to be able to pick and choose between a variety of silhouettes.
Had no idea people were hating on cropped hoodies that’s wild, most of the hate toward cropped hoodies I’ve seen is toward all the Small Brands putting out Luxury Blanks.
lmao cruchseeing you in a bad fit= risking the bloodline. I guess the all time ick for me is folks that roack there shoes untied even when the shoe is too loose to saty to their feet. I did do this in highschool sometimes but that was solely to flex, it's always annoyed me and It's crazy when I see folks kicks hopping off them while they walk in 2023
Rule of thirds is the easiest way to make an NPC fit. Yeah your proportions are “appealing to the eye” but you look like the biggest Harry Has clone if you’re basing the fit 100% on proportions and not personal taste

Bro what, you should be able to wear whatever you want regardless of if you skate or listen to a certain artist. I mean not everyone that wears jordans has to be a basketball player right? I agree with the bottom 3 though
