A beautiful interpretation; I particularly like the euphoric introduction and the high strings in verse 2 - they give a real sense of pain, waste and distance, but meld seamlessly into joy and resolution.

This is in response to Gigator and therealintruder......I love Peter Gabriel and all he has and does stand for. I have several of his albums, including 'Plays Live' and I have to say that I love this New Blood Orchestra...love it love it! Peter does not have great stage presence, BUT he delivers songs well through his voice and the lyrics, and that's what matters. Peace..

@@sahtification 8 years ago..here in Brazil maybe Rock in Rio.....I don't remember exactly but something like a dumb group of people too young to know what progressive rock was or The Genesis, had no idea of the legend Peter Gabriel , they were aggressive and had a fight with one of the members of Peter's band during a rock festival where in fact he, Peter, was the only respectable and most expected artist who performed that day. I remember it was very embarrassing.

Am I the only one who thinks this lacks the excitement and electric atmosphere of PG's previous concerts? I've seen him live on the Secret World tour, and have a few live DVDs and this, whilst good, doesn't have the "punch" of his previous works.
Wonderful version but the audience clapping really ruined the subtlety of the orchestra. Clapping is for the rambunctious world music version of this song. Excellent video though! I thought the quality was superb on my phone.
