I love Benetti. They are very specific with their design. I didn't know about there research and innovations. Now even better! "Spectre" is really amazing!! And I can see also that you are rising the level of the quality of production! So keep on. Video liked! All the best.
one of the best edited video's I have ever seen on TH-cam - 10mins seemed like one - now all I have to do is worry about is being able to afford a full sized yacht!!!
SPECTRE is amazing! And to think that the few things you mentioned reduced its weight by around 100 tons is just mind-blowing! Benetti has outdone themselves on this one, Awesome job!
I Love what/how Benetti Solved these issues. SPECTRE & ACE are my two favorite Yachts and I have seen many Rossinavi, CRM, Lurssen, Feadship, but Benetti are the best for me.
Incredible script (quite educational), great filming and spectacular editing. Well done. This truly is a sensational motor yacht. Thanks David, for the video.
David Seal is like the Yachting Equivalent of David Attenborough i just go in to a trance until the end of the Vid when im ready to buy my Yacht you know im getting it from him he knows his shit that man does.. Awesome my man
A very interesting and well made video. 21 knots? Nothing in comparison to his old "The world is not enough" with 70 knots. He's getting calmer and his yachts are getting bigger and slower.😂👍🏻But as always a stunning masterpiece.😍
I'm drinking a Gin&Tonic in a port bar of Syracuse (Sicily). Befor I came here, I saw a very huge yacht with the name Spectre on it. On the entrance bridge is a sign wich says "Private yacht. No boarding". I was so curious. So i googled the Spectre and landed in this video. Very impressiv!
Love the video just loved it excellent. Very interesting with behind the scenes of yacht building. Your videos are becoming more and more professional to where I'm expecting to see a movie soon haha. Keep it up they're really enjoyable.
I woke up this morning with the anticipation that of one of your new videos was waiting to be watched, and you didn’t disappoint. Plus, this is one beautifully edited and produced video, excellent job!
John Staluppi's new Bond-themed yacht. Very impressed with Benetti's work on shedding weight from the build but if John wants to build another superfast yacht he should talk to the companies that built Ermis2; McMullin and Wing/High Modulus. The 124ft Ermis2's propulsion is triple 3500hp diesels coupled to KaMeWa waterjets. Top speed is at least 60 knots.
Marble can be sliced extremely thin, it's not like they are using 10 cm thick slabs 😁. In fact marble of yachts is often heated underneath. Besides, there is a limit to compromise. They weren't going to use linoleum 🤣
Could you pass on a thank you to the owner and builder for sharing with us the engineering, architecture and art of this project. Also they couldn’t of allowed a better narrator for this task. Thank you Ps. can’t buy one of these ships but love seeing every aspect of what goes into one. And you can seem to bring that experience alive and just enough information in a Reasonable amount of time.
Quality of the video : nothing else expected, especially if Benetti does the sponsoring. And a good advertisment if you want to sell your yachts (David & Benetti).
Beautiful ship! What size crew does this vessel use? If you're able to do a full tour of this ship, would love to see the crew quarters as well as what is normally shown.
Great video again. But what I don't understand why is this yacht not built with carbon or aluminium like so many other yachts. I think a lot of weight could have been saved.
Yes. John is demanding. He knows perfection. Except for his diet. Haha.. The man loves building and selling his yachts. So much profit to be had with a finished new yacht. In two to three years John will debut a newer, faster, and bigger yacht. Wait. I thought John took delivery of this vessel last year. And I believe a sales contract with a buyer, was signed for very close to John's $65m asking price just a few days ago. Which has me a little confused. Is this an old video? Cheers!
Another well done Video.... I haven't got two dimes to rub together but I still dream of one day having the chance to just step onto one of these beauties.... :-) ... great job sir !!!
What a wonderful presentation David! Once again you really make your videos feel like an experience more than just some useful information! Thanks for getting back to me last video about the prospect of you covering the smaller part of the yacht market! I do have one question if you do read this comment ! Out of the 4 builders Princess, Sunseeker, Sanlorenzo and Azumit who would you recommend for quality in craftsmanship? These are the builders i may go to in the near future ! Thanks for another quality video! Glenn
It does not matter. Choose the location, then the boat. But, as you should already realise (!), get ready to pay several hundred thousand dollars for a two-week charter for the size of boat you mentioned.
20 flights to New York to discuss details with the client. Excellent customer service indeed, but I'm pretty sure that was reflected in the purchase price 😉
Well, when money asks, determination answers. If the requirements (according to this clients' brief) were feasible to design and manufacture, it would, in a sense, render most other things obsolete, wouldn't it? If speed, stability and comfort were possible to accomplish simultaneous without compromise on any, why wouldn't all super yachts be built the same? If it's a matter of cost, those who venture into projects like this, usually have an open budget to work with.
I have a quick question, with weight being so important, why is carbon fiber not used more in the construction of mega yachts? Like why isn't the hull or super structure made of carbon? Is it that cost prohibitive or do we simply not have the technology to produce carbon structures that large yet?
Cost. Obviously this a very expensive and difficult product to work with - on/for a yacht. It’s best left to the aircraft/aerospace and automotive world (especially for ‘pieces’ not shells and large expansive surfaces). Carbon fibre is not the super material that many ‘think’ it is. Good question/comment though.
Cost is one factor, but the greatest challenge with carbon fibre hulls is that it is very difficult to soften the vibrations from engines and machinery. As technology progresses I expect to see more carbon fibre composite yachts.
The Benetti Seasense is my all time favourite yacht, and I saw it in the opening clip. Anyway, if speed was such an important factor, why not talk with Heesen? Their Galactica Star and Super Nova both around this size and both capable of around 30 kts max with cruising in the low 20s.
If you’ve ever heard of “The World Is Not Enough” this is the same owner so is any other yacht (at one point) named after a James Bond movie like Skyfall
Yes, Spectre was sold new....I believe David alluded to that, he built the yacht for the challenge, and he has owned several other Bond named vessels...funny to see her Port of Bloody Bay, C.I. ...sort of fits the villian image... and not George Town, Cayman Islands.
This M/Y Spectre was a Yacht construction for Mr J. Staluppi ;who is a long time famous Owner's Yachts ! He is famous since the 80's and the famous record with his Heessen Yacht "Octopussy" who had hitted the target of 50knots (53kns actully in the 80's !) with a full custom & luxurious Yacht of around 50 meters ! About M/Y Spectre ; the thing I don't understand is ; that Mr Staluppi received S^pectre in November 2018 and sold it in the early 2019 ; so he had his yacht like less than 6 month maybe ? What it means ....I really don't know !!??
I love info contained in the script but the underlying music makes it so difficult to enjoy. Could not finish video. Hoping for less aural interference in future versions. Or, your producers can put in as much music as they want, just please provide accurate cc for those of us that are too uncool to handle it. Otherwise great work. Great selection of this highly relevant ship to cover. Great factual monologue and videography. Obviously well written. It's content like this that carries channels like yours, not cheap post-production ploys to keep us "interested".
Is this another of John Staluppi’s yachts? Always named after Bond films and always fast. Been a huge fan of his projects since Octopussy which I’m sure could do 53 knots and that wasn’t even his fastest super yacht
I'm gonna post on here a Yachting hazards situation that happened when I was in the U.S. Navy onboard a US Naval Ship And this is about safety and security. In 1985 We were operating in international waters and seen a Japanese Junk....it had on it which appeared to be a .50 caliber machine gun. Since it was in international waters Open waters not far from Hawaii, yet causing no problem interdiction was not done this 2nd time in my naval career i heard the phrase coastal pirates.....later that day a a 50ft sailing schooner had put out a general mayday. Our ship rendered assistance. They where leaking fuel and the captain was ill. Our Captain brought onboard the crew which was a family of 2 young girls Mother and Father. Our Captain had them checked out. It was clear it was mild food poisoning by our Chief Corpsman and gave the family members our ships hats with logos. As they stayed onboard for several hours As a crewmember we where not and never informed of what a Captain say to people, but from word of mouth some information get out and other information better not. As it was nearing dusk. We got the family back onboard their vessel and we went out about our operational area.
For those wondering our Chief Engineer had put a team of engineers onboard the schooner fixed the leak and we refuel them prior moving off.....this is a true story....more to follow
I agree , give the editor a raise, another awesome video.
Benetti has quite the operation at Viareggio. Very impressive.
These videos are like attending a lecture. Very informative.
That is incredible! This is so informative and exciting to listen to! Thank you!
We need an Aquaholic tour thru the entire vessel!
Superb presentation as always.....it's nice to see a clip when the presenter clearly knows what he's talking about.....
I love Benetti. They are very specific with their design. I didn't know about there research and innovations. Now even better! "Spectre" is really amazing!! And I can see also that you are rising the level of the quality of production! So keep on. Video liked! All the best.
Incredibly well done video David!
Thanks buddy - I see you’re
growing quickly too....overtaken me on subs!!! I need to step up a gear!
one of the best edited video's I have ever seen on TH-cam - 10mins seemed like one - now all I have to do is worry about is being able to afford a full sized yacht!!!

Can't lie.....very well presented and edited! The presenting was pretty class! Stunning boat!
The client must be a Bond fan. :). Great look at a magnificent ship! Weight savings measured in thousands of tons. Amazing.

I Love what/how Benetti Solved these issues. SPECTRE & ACE are my two favorite Yachts and I have seen many Rossinavi, CRM, Lurssen, Feadship, but Benetti are the best for me.
I will probably never be invited onto a yacht, let alone will I buy one, but I do enjoy your videos. Informative and fun. Beautiful yachts.
What a beautiful yacht, very elegant for its' size
Incredible script (quite educational), great filming and spectacular editing. Well done. This truly is a sensational motor yacht. Thanks David, for the video.
What a great way to start the day. Fabulous ship and video.
Like so many others in the comment section, bravo David such an excellent job on the video. Please congrats to the editor...excellence in all facets.
David Seal is like the Yachting Equivalent of David Attenborough i just go in to a trance until the end of the Vid when im ready to buy my Yacht you know im getting it from him he knows his shit that man does.. Awesome my man
What a yacht. Very nice.
An absolutely gorgeous yacht presented by the most talented yacht broker alive!
A very interesting and well made video. 21 knots? Nothing in comparison to his old "The world is not enough" with 70 knots. He's getting calmer and his yachts are getting bigger and slower.😂👍🏻But as always a stunning masterpiece.😍
Such a beautiful yacht. The editing in this video is astounding!

Great story and very well presented
Great video you are a natural at this TH-cam stuff. You have a great channel here!! Keep up the great work I can tell you love yachting.
Came for the new Benetti custom Yacht, Stayed all the way through for the UHD 21:9 beautiful footage.
Wow it looks awesome. I hope they let you do a full Interior and Power train video. I would love to see more.
Absolutely beautiful boat with a super cool name.
If I had one, I'd call it Moonraker or For your eyes only.
Love the video just loved it excellent. Very interesting with behind the scenes of yacht building. Your videos are becoming more and more professional to where I'm expecting to see a movie soon haha. Keep it up they're really enjoyable.
Absolutely fantastic video, you are a star David

The use of wood, wich is a heavy material was kept at a minimum...
Looks at the marble floor

I believe David was standing on the actual yacht so of course he will thank them!! Pretty silly comment!!
SPECTRE is a Magnificent Yacht, Classy, Beautiful!! Benetti is No Joke, I thought Feadship , CRN, Lurssen, was Killers!!!
What an incredible piece of art
The boat and the video ☝️😁
When you look back at older boats, you realize how much technology has advanced marine engineering.
Amazing yacht. But more importantly, amazing video! Well done.
Absolutely first class video.
the "69" meter at 1:27 voice editing was not very good compared to the rest of the editing. I guess that's a 99% job. Meh...😂
Was on purpose my man, meant to be funny, you know bc of 69 the position people do when they do the do, you'll figure it out someday
Perfect as always.
I seriously Love this Yacht 😀
This one ,and SAMURAI.
Quality of the video : nothing else expected, especially if Benetti does the sponsoring. And a good advertisment if you want to sell your yachts (David & Benetti).
I know i would be very happy indeed with Spectre.
I just saw this yacht in Jan 2020 in Curaçao. Beautiful.
I always enjoy videos. Can't wait until we start shopping for ours!
Beautiful ship! What size crew does this vessel use? If you're able to do a full tour of this ship, would love to see the crew quarters as well as what is normally shown.
Excellent Video!Excellent editing!
Love the video and the efforts put into it
Movie quality on a such small YT chanel. Amazing Video!
WOW! Just WOW.
love these videos
Marvelous!

Hi Cameron, I filmed it late last year...things move quickly in yachting!
No doubt, the next yacht will be named after the next Bond film!
It's sold already yes. This video would have been filmed back in December.
Another well done Video.... I haven't got two dimes to rub together but I still dream of one day having the chance to just step onto one of these beauties.... :-) ... great job sir !!!

What are the best yacht charter companies, in your opinion? Looking to charter a 120+ ft yacht this summer for a few weeks
It does not matter. Choose the location, then the boat. But, as you should already realise (!), get ready to pay several hundred thousand dollars for a two-week charter for the size of boat you mentioned.
120' yachts are around $75,000/week base. Plus 30% provisions and any applicable tax.
@@BMH1965 120' goes for $75-90,000/week base. Plus provisions of 30-35% and any local taxes.
One of the best video's I have seen anywhere. One of the most awesome yacht designs also...
Love your show - some people are bitter. Can’t wait to record some yachts this spring, any advice?
20 flights to New York to discuss details with the client. Excellent customer service indeed, but I'm pretty sure that was reflected in the purchase price 😉
Spectre, the perfect Superyacht.
That was a cool episode. I am a model builder, how can I get one of those models? I would like it assembled so I can build it my self.
Thanks for the beautiful video. I believe if there’s anyone deserves a raise most is the yacht broker himself.
Good video!

Yes!! Benetti!!! Can you do Baglietto next?
I just forwarded your comment to the sales director of Baglietto. Let’s see what they say....
Owner is John.Chalupi?
Can we see in interior plz
So you were unable to show us the art-deco of the ship and even the layout of the bridge and engine room?
Aluminum gearbox? Keep an extra handy.

Is Spectre for sale?
If you’ve ever heard of “The World Is Not Enough” this is the same owner so is any other yacht (at one point) named after a James Bond movie like Skyfall
I need to get myself one of these superyacht things.
Energy efficient sustainable yachting.
Go ahead and say it.
this felt like a movie
wow
but spectre was recently sold by the owner no?
Yes, Spectre was sold new....I believe David alluded to that, he built the yacht for the challenge, and he has owned several other Bond named vessels...funny to see her Port of Bloody Bay, C.I. ...sort of fits the villian image... and not George Town, Cayman Islands.
1:27 nice
can you build gym on the yacth?
Benetti it is then for my first super yacht. Do they take MasterCard?
Define "Hard Work"…
Hey Dave, when are we gonna kick it on one of your listings and have some drinks?
how much does it costs?
This M/Y Spectre was a Yacht construction for Mr J. Staluppi ;who is a long time famous Owner's Yachts ! 🚣♀️ My Dreamboat
21 knts, fast for a super yacht, slow for a John Staluppi super yacht.

Please forgive my dumb question but can these yachts make an Atlantic crossing ?
I'd like to have it with my option!
Is this another of John Staluppi’s yachts? Always named after Bond films and always fast. Been a huge fan of his projects since Octopussy which I’m sure could do 53 knots and that wasn’t even his fastest super yacht
Sounds like an owner who was unhappy with the 100K it takes to fill it up, so reduce the weight of carrying around a bunch of un-needed weight!
They probably used Aluastar aluminum, lighter then 5083.
Heesen can get 31 knots!
15 knots is not fast enough for me

There sure are humans with bucket loads of money lolol
