    It's so cool to see another person from Swiss which travels to my homebase Mongolia. And even making a tripreport about the flight with MIAT. Like an opposite lifestyle, as I'm living in Swiss as a Mongolian. En liebe Gruess us Züri!

      Thank you very much:) Unfortunately I was way too short in Mongolia. Looking forward to travel back there to see more. The landscape is incredible.

    The cabin and seat does look very outdated for a 10 year old aircraft but as I continue watching, I can't help but find the charm of these retro looking fit outs. Even the crockery just fit into the whole 90's scene so perfectly.

      Very good description of the ambiance I felt on board 👍🤓

    Wow this should be good. You looked very uncomfortable in that business class seat. Safe travels

      Thank you. It wasn’t as bad in terms of comfort, but surely not the best. The steak compensated well ;-)

    I hope to visit mongolia one day, I'm in love with its music, culture and history. MIAT looks quite acceptable if outdated.

      I was there only for 2 days, as a short stopover on my way home. I definitely want to go back there to see more. Preferably in summer though. And I wouldn’t hesitate flying MIAT again.

      @@forgotmypassport yes that's a good idea but when you go in summer the price are very expansive ;)

    I went to Mongolia in 2016 (we took the Trans-Siberian train from Putinia in and felw Korean Air out) and it's my favourite foreign country that I visited. I flew Hunnu Air on 2 domestic flights from UB to Moron and back and that was an experience for sure. UB's old Buyant Ukhaa airport was chaotic and antiquated and I'd like to go back and see the new one.

      Nice!
      The new airport is still quite small, but much more pleasant. And the lounge is stunning! (Video about that will come soon)

      Thank you very much :)) I got myself a few new gadgets, so it’s a lot of trial and error happening. After my disastrous Naka Island video (improved re-upload coming shortly) it’s only getting better:))

    The catering out of Incheon was probably made by Korean air, which has good food... just saying...

    • @forgotmypassport

    @6:00 Given your height, economy class especially long haul ones might be a challenge for you. If I could choose, however, i would prefer you review some rare underrated airlines like MIAT or Air Baltic, Air Greenland etc. to low cost airlines or economy class ones. Thanks again for a nice clip. BTW do you have a clip of the Ulan Bator. It would be quite interesting as we don't know much about this mysterious city and the country of Mongolia as a whole. Until next vid 🙏👍☺

    • @forgotmypassport
      @forgotmypassport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for your much appreciated feedback🙏. Economy class legroom is indeed an issue quite often. Funnily, I have flown on Air Greenland and Air Baltic several times, but never did a video (except the Air Baltic Dh-8 flight a while ago). I fly Air Baltic A220 in 3 days, maybe I’ll take my filming equipment with me :)

    Love this review video, out of curiosity how tall are you? I once sat next to a gentleman on KLM Business class and he was well over 190cm and couldn't get comfortable on European Airline Business Class. I'm wondering if MIAT seats are smaller compared to EU airline business classes.

      @forgotmypassport  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the nice comment. I’m 1.93m (6ft4in). Most often I‘m fine in Business Class, as long as for example the head rest can be adjusted (which was not the case with MIAT unfortunately). Also sometimes the length of the bed isn’t sufficient, but this I‘d consider a „luxury problem“ :)

    I am Mongolian and also like planes a lot. But, I think MIAT management is quite outdated. How on earth would someone choose this kind of seat in Business class when the seats are always 30% occupied? And we also have an outdated bunch of 737's; only one is max 8 of 4 737s'. And most of all, the MIAT IFE is a joke. I hope we get the Dreamliner with a decent seating and IFE in it. BTW Great video!

    • @forgotmypassport
      @forgotmypassport  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for the nice comment. It indeed all felt a bit outdated, despite the B767 being fairly young (for a 767). Considering the pretty good fare I paid, it was okay, but I wouldn’t have paid more ;-)
