Just so you know the salad leaves which looked weird is called Bingcao in Chinese (冰草 literally means iced grass), it's not a common vege across the whole country either but it's definitely a specialty in Yunnan Province. I've only simply guessed they offer it as a special kind in May for business class passengers as iced grass is quite rarely seen in Shanghai eventho I personally don't like it either🤣

I would fly on the 737 Max with no worries. It is being flown by professional pilots and flight crews around the world daily. If they felt it was unsafe, they would not do so. Despite the rough beginning for the Max, I believe that by the end of their service life they will have an outstanding safety record. If travelers didn't fly on every type of aircraft that had an incident, they would be forced to drive or take the train to wherever they wanted to go.

As a local, I am very opposed to the English name of Xiamen Air. I think it should be renamed "Amoy Air". First, it is difficult for foreigners to pronounce "Xiamen" this word. Many people pronounce it as Sherman Airlines 😂. Second, the name"Amoy" is older and more widely known to foreigners and the world. Moreover, "Amoy" is easy to pronounce and this word from our local language, while "Xiamen" is pronounced in Chinese (Mandarin).

Yes, the on board wifi is accessible, but it can only be use to access the Vietnam airlines in flight entertainment website, on which you can watch some movies, listen to some music and read a limited selection of ebooks, nothing exceptional. Honestly on short route like this, you dont really need much. Even tho I'm working for this airlines, I have to admit there are many things we should change, like the dated interior and seats, the domestic lounge should be improved too. But as we're still recovering from Covid and a huge debt, because of which we have to cut some cost in various parts of services. I think it's gonna take a while. But slowly we will receive the newly made Airbus and Boeing crafts, which are gonna significantly improve our fleet and the quality of in flight services. Also welcome to DAD airport, where I work too, I hope this airport and our ground services didnt disappoint you.

A lot of reviewers collect certain things from airlines, do you? When I used to fly a lot, I would collect branded pens when available as well as branded waste (vomit) bags, unused of course. Sounds strange I know, but most people thought it was interesting.

I love all the views of the Business class cabin! Some of the reviews skip ahead to when they're sitting down, or they board the plane with the camera pointed down and you can't see anything. Great job, great review!

nice staff but the management suck. Planes never in time, often delayed up to 3 hours. Had a flight yesterday with them. first flight 1,5h late, so i missed my connection flight, new ticket and the flight was again 1,5h delayed - STAY AWAY from Thai VietJet
