  • Our Book Club met October 16th to explore questions inspired by Dr. Lesley S.J. Farmer's book Impactful Community-Based Literacy Projects.
    In addition to our live audience, discussants at the free Zoom event included Dr. Farmer, moderator Dr. Catharine Bomhold (author of Serving the Underserved: Strategies for Inclusive Community Engagement, Library Services for Youth with Autism Spectrum Disorders, Managing the Successful School Library, Using Qualitative Methods in Action Research: How Librarians Can Get to the Why of Data, Library Improvement Through Data Analytics), Elizabeth McChesney (Wonder Libraries: 20 Expert Perspectives on What Kids Need Now), Dr. Belinha S. De Abreu (Media Literacy for Justice: Lessons for Changing the World and Teaching Media Literacy), Liz Deskins (Content-Area Collaborations for Secondary Grades), and Kathleen Breitenbach (co-author with Liz Deskins of LGBTIQA+ Books for Children and Teens 2e).
