That's why he didn't actually die in his final commercial. His physical body could no longer contain such legendary awesomeness so he ascended to godhood.
When I was a lad of eight, I opened up a present on Christmas Day to find a Playstation. I thanked my parents for getting me a PS instead of a Saturn. I was so happy. Then this music started playing out of nowhere and the last thing I remember is a fist careening toward my face.
The performer, Hiroshi Fujioka, also played Takeshi Hongo/Kamen Rider 1 in the tokusatsu superhero series Kamen Rider in 1971-1973, the first ever Kamen Rider.
Fun fact: he is also the very FIRST kamen rider. There was an episode where a kamen rider met the power rangers and beat them alone. And he was weaker than this kamen rider. He's not just the best at sega games, but a superhero stronger than any sentai! The man, the gamer, the legend!

I rewatched the saban fight (because I can't find the japanese one) and it's difficult. A rider kick in any other sentai crossover has often beaten them in 1 move; a leaping kick. However black RX never used it in the fight. He fought red and white ranger (which the others fought each other) and he held up pretty well. They couldn't even hold him down but they ended up friends at the end. *TLDR* : Did a Kamen Rider beat sentai in only 3 moves. Yes, with 1 move: the rider kick. Did masked Rider beat the power rangers in only 3 moves? He could, but he didn't. But neither could the rangers.
another fun fact: as the first kamen rider, he once had a serious accident and shattered his leg. He was able to push through the brutal physiotherapy because the wishes of the children for Kamen Rider to recover.

Imagine this, it's March 2019, and Nintendo is doing a direct, and there is a section on Smash and through the whole presentation there is a Saturn in the background. And at the end, we see the cross of smash, showing the next dlc fighter, and it starts with just feet walking with a little of the pants visible, then this theme begins to play as the camera moves slowly upward until we see all of Segata, and he's holding a Saturn in one hand, and in the other he's holding a smash invitation.
But a different song(Moshimo) plays as he hands the invitation to the character it’s for: Sakura Shinguji The video then features Sakura using an assist trophy which summons Segata, Segata beats everyone in a radius, knocking the smash ball out as Sakura uses her final smash
What I find fascinating is that Segata Sanshiro was inspired by a book series that was later made into a movie series directed by Akira Kurosawa. It was named after the main character, Sugata Sanshiro, but is better known by its alternate title, "Judo Saga." This isn't to be confused with another book also called Sugata Sanshiro, hence the need for an alternate title in the first place. The one I'm talking about though is centered around a story of a young man who became a Judo prodigy under the tutelage of a Master Sano during the beginning of The Meiji Era, when the martial art of Traditional Jujutsu was beginning to lose favor due to it being a martial art used by the Samurai on the battlefield. Sugata uses his Judo mastery to challenge or otherwise meet the challenge of martial artists from other styles, be it Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, etc. Believe it or not, the character of Sugata Sanshiro was inspired by the author's father, who was a highly skilled Judoka himself. That's some pretty deep reference to come up with the character of Segata, and I love it!
OK I know this is a bold prediction to make but please just read this. The olympic games are in Tokyo next and the sendoff for Japan involved Mario so why not take this to the next level. Picture this: Its the opening ceremony and its a great show filled with culture and history and all that great stuff, even Mario and crew are there. Then the stadium goes dark and we hear a familiar sound. SEGA Suddenly Sonic races in followed by other SEGA mascots (Nights, Billy Hatcher, Crazy Taxi, Virtua Fighter, Yazuka, Hatsune Miku) and at the flames perch they stop and turn towards the entrance. Then this song hits and we see Segata Sanshiro himself carrying the olympic torch. It would be awesome!
The actor who depicted Segata Sanshiro was evidently a pretty famous guy already from Kamen Rider, seeing him light the torch as Segata would be amazing, and it actually doesn't sound too implausible after the Mario intro.

When they released Sonic movie first trailer, the Producer heard this song and the world around him turned black. When he awaken again he said we MUST change Sonic design even if we have to delay the release of the movie. He's still working saving our memories. 😢

Sugata uses his Judo mastery to challenge or otherwise meet the challenge of martial artists from other styles, be it Judo, Jujutsu, Karate, etc. Believe it or not, the character of Sugata Sanshiro was inspired by the author's father, who was a highly skilled Judoka himself. That's some pretty deep reference to come up with the character of Segata, and I love it!

OK I know this is a bold prediction to make but please just read this. The olympic games are in Tokyo next and the sendoff for Japan involved Mario so why not take this to the next level. Picture this:
Its the opening ceremony and its a great show filled with culture and history and all that great stuff, even Mario and crew are there. Then the stadium goes dark and we hear a familiar sound.

Suddenly Sonic races in followed by other SEGA mascots (Nights, Billy Hatcher, Crazy Taxi, Virtua Fighter, Yazuka, Hatsune Miku) and at the flames perch they stop and turn towards the entrance. Then this song hits and we see Segata Sanshiro himself carrying the olympic torch. It would be awesome!

The actor who depicted Segata Sanshiro was evidently a pretty famous guy already from Kamen Rider, seeing him light the torch as Segata would be amazing, and it actually doesn't sound too implausible after the Mario intro.
