Likely munitions factory buildings, the soil birms would absorb any accidental explosion inside to prevent shrapnel from damaging anything else or setting off other building close by.

The buildings with the built up earth and heavy doors are classic munitions / explosives stores or production areas. Note that all the doors have heavy earthing straps and cables attached to them to prevent any possibility of static discharge. Area looks like its been put to use as a training area for emergency services / military / law enforcement etc. Very interesting old compound interesting explore guys. keep it up!

It is being used as for confined space training, as we found.

You guys have all the fun in old military spots in the UK. Though I'm sure there are just as extensive tunnels and explorable abandonment here in the states, our government tends to frown on good clean fun of any kind.. Also we call those bits of metal strapping reinforcements on the roof "bacon strips" over here though that certainly may be the term of miners there as well. Love all your stuff guys!

Well that was good even you getting from “ house to house “was fun but that mine left me saying there’s a lot more to that mine that they don’t want you looking at, also if you go back be careful as that place isn’t abandoned don’t know if you noticed the van while you were looking in the tents well that van is still in use it was parked up. You have to love Pompeye with his “right let’s all stick together and keep quiet” and off he goes at 200mph shouting oh my, gosh etc. Anyway another great video as always keeping it real.

How did I miss this. Watching now. Comment after!
Finally watched last quarter. Impressive tho just imagining the munitionstaff working in those conditions. It use have been harrowing every day just waiting for one of them thru tiredness or just a tiny slip being blown to smitheries whilst a king the armaments. Terrifying. You need to visit The munition factories that were located here in the south coastline Llanelli, Trimsaren, Pembrey etc. my GrandMonth in law worked in the munitions factory local to Trimsaron where she worked for the duration of the 2nd WW the used to talk about the conditions etc and how their skin colour would change depending on the explosives. Frightening. Great explore. Sorry I have taken so long. Bad week Lol!! See you all on Sunday. Much Love All. 💜😁🤗🥰

Pause at time stamp 35 57 you’ll see multilayer perfectly round archways. Prob why they’re extra rubbled
I think those lines were used for trolleys and pneumonic railways! So cool
These tunnels look like a megalithic structure like waaaaaaaaay older but WAY more advanced than a mine or bunker perfectly cut huge bricks and right angles.

sorry to inform yall but i served in the british armed forces for 10 yrs the part of the base yall are in and those tunnels are used for training and are being put back into service for training and you can actually get permission to access the locked parts by speaking the the base head or a captain of the gaurd i was posted there during 2006 - 2008 you dont have to worry about getting in trouble just dont go into any of the areas marked with bio signals as there still not been decontaminated from ww2 and as for the buildings with the rails they where used for arti rounds and ammuntion stores the bunkers wont be reused but id deffo suggest contacting the mod for correct permission to access the areas as if you get caught youll be arrested and charges will be ruthless as the did catch someone in 2010 there and there in jail still now as far as i know best to yall and have fun exploring just double check what ive said guys as you dont wanna catch charges for just looking around old mod sites which ironic you can get a permit pass and have someone with the full story of the site with you telling ya the history of the place and showing you through the locked areas providing there not in active use or still radioactive from ww2 gear best of wishes to all yalls

Across the road where the rails cross the road opposite stay out of there. That was for the leakers to be disassembled they was known as leakers. Those buildings where you was was a production line for weapons rockets missiles and Polaris nukes etc I actually seen it for real a tractor would tow certain parts for assembly then through the metal earthed shutter certain parts explosive was passed , came by train the secret sidings by chillmark bunker . I was lucky to see it once in 1988 in full operation. That first building you went in with the dishwasher was the check point room where stock was noted the building before that to the left behind the evergreens hiding was where the rocket motors was added to nukes hence the height and being hidden by the evergreens. Years ago public wasn't allowed there. I know a whole lot more about the surrounding area there but I won't say because it is way to much . And also a threat to national security.

@@VacantHaven go for it your see the room on its own train tracks go in there with a bumper that had hefty doors once that's where they disassembled the leakers and stored them. It use to have a halon system that had purifiers that would blast in deradiate. Men in big suits would take it all apart and it would be stored untill time to dump. Outside there was a klaxon and red light which was connected to the sensors in the room geider Muller counter for ionisation (q.v.) for particle counts. Outside on the surface is a block house this was where the gyroscopic equipment was kept after disassembly,

8:24 I reckon that building is a small explosive store hence the earth bank. As for the hatch with the copper binding strap, that’s to probably reduce the chance of sparking of the metal roller bearings of the hatch doors to reduce the risk of explosion when small supplies of explosive material are passed through the hatch. Just a guess

Yeah the big chimney had me thinking that too!
Very interesting place this, and with work being done to it, it may warrant further investigation!

Hey Alex it’s been a bit,but I just caught a couple of your last videos..As always they’re are amazing!! The Cold War bunker was a great find, too bad yous couldn’t get beyond the bricked up parts…Anyway stay safe and looking forward to what’s next. One day I’d love to come join the team…

I think my dad might have worked there!. The only people that would turn up is the police or range staff. Also helicopters as well 😅

Please people don’t go in the heat tunnels on these bases I work on Telco on active bases and The HS4 as well as other very bad gases in those tunnels

Good old HS4 - needed to watch out for that when I worked in sewer systems. Stinks for the first minute or so, then anaesthatises your nose so you can't smell it any more - then it attacks your lungs.

, whenever I watch any videos on mines I always wonder why they look like a structure that's been made to look like a mine, the rubble looked like it was from somewhere else and the walls looked like scratches added to a existing flat wall. Also , what were they extracting in there ? Or am l stupid and not understanding how mining works? How deep were the tunnels?
