Out of all the boys, Liam had the best audition with a strong voice and commanding stage presence. He really killed it and it just goes to show why they made him a leader of sorts at the start of the band.

They actually built the band around Niall. He was the first member. Then Harry, Louis, Liam and Zayn(or Zayn and Liam I don't remember that correctly)
@@amalyaaliyeva9143 band wasn't built around anyone, they went with order and niall was just first one, that doesn't mean they built it around him. and simon actually wanted liam to be the solo arstist (which is a big deal, they didn't think others boys could do it as a solo artists) but nicole and louis said he could be the leader of the band, band wasn't built around liam but he was the most importand, the most talanted, the most experienced and the most confident member at that time, be honest, they wouldn't be where they're now if liam wasn't put in the band
