Bill Oakley has recently gone on saying that he is now shopping around a true season 2 of Mission hill instead of Gus & Wally, granted idk if this is the right time to do so given the current climate of industry animation, but it gives me hope that we'll see new Mission hill stuff again one day. (also this video is really great!)
I remember catching reruns of it on Adult Swim when I was younger. I distinctly remember Kevin running home from that dance to try to save his castle from burning. I'm sure as a proper adult I could relate (and actually understand?) the stories proper told in this show 😅 I just remember laughing at the immature gags haha

I can relate to this so much now. Lol. We grew up in upstate NY, I moved down with my Brother and Sister in NYC. The world down here is so much more different and hilarious. We even have to take the Metro North and a Cab to get back up to the house in upstate NY.

I loved Undergrads! The character writing was by far the most memorable part and I'm still a bit upset that a show with such a strong cast was overlooked by everybody for so long.
At the time of writing this, there are 10 other comments on that video. Which means I've found at least 11 other people who remember this show. Which is about 11 more than I knew before.
Yes! I've been saying for years that Netflix should try to bring it back. Great video! (Also this was never traditional hand drawn cels, it was digital drawings from the beginning, one of the reason they where able to use neon colors, since they don't photograph well on painted cels.)
I read the script of the freaky weekend, damn that hits hard and also makes you think of Posey and the stunt she pulled and how somehow doesn't really feel bad for what she did, since she got what she wanted, and also makes you think of how she was slightly treated during each episode until the "breaking point" or maybe she is manipulating the viewer and then you don't really know nothing about her
too bad this show was cancelled after 13 episodes, I wanted to see the show end with Kevin graduating from high school and move to Yale because he along with George & Toby got a scholarship to Yale University.

This show is basically the feeling of the early 2000s in animated form and I love it for that
mission hill is up there with the oblongs in rewatchability, quality retrospective.
