My shirt is floating. I think my collider is set to both. Appreciate you.

Interesting tutorial. 🙂 You got yourself a new sub...
I never looked into the Target Length parameter before, so thanks for pointing that out. ;-)
I've been experimenting with C4D cloth sims of iClone clothing on characters animated and exported from iClone. While iClone does have its own cloth simulation, it struggles with certain things because the algorithm is "optimized" for real-time use) and that is why I decided to try simulating these pieces of clothing (which are sometimes somewhat more elaborate than a T-shirt and shorts) in C4D with varying degrees of success.
One problem I'm having in particular is that unless the meshes are "perfectly welded", they tend to fall apart during the C4D cloth sim (they don't if they are just deformed with the skin deformer). The same problem happens with buttons, pockets, or other pieces of decorative mesh that are part of the clothing item: the buttons etc. are treated as separate items in C4D and fall off. I've had some success with putting problematic meshes into a Connect object and weld them, but if the Tolerance value is set too low, the meshes still break apart and if it is set too high, the look of the object can change in unintended ways.
But simulating clothing has come a long way in C4D...

Hi, Part 1 is “Look how these colours merge! Best Simulation of Cinema 4D 2023.1.3 Tutorial: Part 1” There isn’t another part for the clothes tutorial.
