The next step for ASU is to continue the work. Can’t get complacent and high of the smell of your own farts. We’ve seen teams fall from grace QUICKLY. They’re returning about 80-85% of the 2-deep and are poised to make another big time run nationally. So the next step is how to handle success and get better. I trust Dillingham and crew in that regard.
It’s simple the bye did not affect the outcomes, We seen it from ASU they can be competitive, it all comes down to the better team, OSU is better than Oregon, Texas is better than ASU however ASU should’ve won, Notre dame beat Georgia because their likely better with a starting QB, Penn state is definetly better than Boise state so let’s all be fr
Just here to point out that ASU put up 40% of points scored by teams with byes against a Texas defense that has been talked up as the best in the country. Go Devils!!! 🔱
How was the UGA vs ND game not competitive? Just a few plays decided the game. ND capitalized on those key plays and won the game but it was competitive. OSU vs Oregon was the only legitimately uncompetitive game out of the four.
Create an IVY league to round our the existing number of conferences to 12. Then the 12 Conference Champions go into the play-offs, no byes. Last team standing is the National Champion. End of problem.
I don’t blame the bye, CFP has always been lopsided. Next year might be different. Just like NFL playoffs, the regular season doesn’t matter anymore once postseason play starts
Oregon with these old man collegiate QBs, why I expect them to take a step backwards next season. Ez schedule means maybe this is a good year to developed a young talent at the position
Oregon’s Defense needs to be better, possibly much better. Linebackers are good, not great. DB's are good, not great (also too small for the evolving college game). I feel confident that Oregon is reloading on the D-Line. Some concern on preparedness for this game. The month-long wait before the game simply did not help. At the end of the day, Ohio State had better overall players and the coaches had them prepared and focused. As my old Offensive Line coach would say:" Keep your head up and keep your feet driving!". Very proud of Oregon although there is room for improvement personnel-wise and possible some attention to Defensive coordination. I believe it will happen.
Its called sitting out 5 weeks is too long. Tom has an easy job, nothing physically demanding so he can sit out for as long as he'd like, it wont effect his work efficiency unlike most people who actually have a physically demanding job.
If there were no conferences, byes would be assigned by ranking. Of course the networks might want conferences to persist, given their history of favoritism.
For Boise state what i think is more important is how will they do with the move to pac 12. Sure they beat wsu and Osu last year bout how will they do competing with power 5 schools full time now. People are not going to like it but the pac 12 is still a power 5 conference even with just former go5 members. It doesn’t matter if you think they aren’t a power 5 conference because at the end of the day during bowl season the new pac 12 will be facing an opponent from another power 5 school.
STOP talking about the bye making teams rusty and Oregon not showing up to the rose bowl. Instead talk about how The better teams won each game and no team including Oregon could beat the Juggernauts at Ohio State!
Home games are how you reward regular season excellence.. Do you think college football should go back to having Associated Press journalist pick the national.champ as well? Smh 🤭
Oregon fans have to be so sad. Talking all that trash just for ohio state to get sexual with yall. And another year one of your best teams doesnt win a natty
@puffdutchtwo 💀💀💀 you got taken advantage of on national TV no Vaseline by ohio state. One of the worst blowouts by a #1 team I've ever seen. Enjoy your couch and no natty for the next 50 years
ASU "didn't deserve" to be in the playoffs and barely lost to Texas. OSU destroyed the #1 team in the nation, but Texas is an easy winner over OSU. Guess where this came from?😂😂😂 (SEC)

“Should’ve” but didn’t. Irrelevant

Apart from ASU, the rest all stunk 😂. Only ASU deserved to move on

Per Nick Saban, the 3-4 week layoff affects tackling the most.
Need to re look the bye month for the seeds.

2024 Oregon was 13-0 and went one and done this team is somehow worse than the 2014-2015 and 2010- 2011 running up championship team😂

Indeed. Those guys should shut up. You had 3 weeks to prepare and you come up with shit play
Home games and bye weeks gotta go!
Home games are how you reward regular season excellence..
Do you think college football should go back to having Associated Press journalist pick the national.champ as well?
Smh 🤭
Home games are awarded by Seeding, which is decided by the CFP Committee!
Mostly, the CFP Committee wanted those games to be in historic stadiums!
bye weeks sure but home games are amazing, teams deserve to be rewarded for their performance by hosting a home playoff game
16 teams no byes. Thats the balance, imo.
this guy thinks the regular season was finished? What an idiot.
I really hope chip is just stoking controversy. This weird argument about making the regular season meaningless is silly.
ASU should try to NOT get cheated, next time. Golden dropped the 4th and 13 pass, in the end zone. So, I guess, be better at NOT GETTING CHEATED.
I’m an Oregon fan and we got screwed. Yall fault
ASU was the only competitive team?? 😂 CBS SPORTS clearly didn’t watch the Boise state game and that’s embarrassing
Chippy picks all SUCKS!!!!!!!!
Georgia needs receivers and a mobile QB
quinn ewers to oregon
Cry me a river
Chip should go and sleep.
Oregon fans have to be so sad. Talking all that trash just for ohio state to get sexual with yall. And another year one of your best teams doesnt win a natty
No we beat them and Penn state if they play in natty 🦆 have a claim to shared natty
This man said they have a claim 😂
@@Arcticos0 beat Michigan

It's pretty clear teams like Arizona st is out

This guy is just dumb. He wants Football to be like the Premier League. Best team at the end of the season wins. 😂😂😂😂😂 just a stupid take
Haters gonna hate #GoIrish
