When I was 17 I went and saw a Montreal Canadiens NHL game versus the Rangers in New York, it was one of the best experience of my life being in MSG & I remember going to katz diner for lunch prior to the game & it was really good! One issue I did have it was a little bit too much meat but I couldn’t complain bc it tasted so good! I want to go back and relive that day because I find in the younger years we don’t appreciate the experience/memory as often as I would when I’m older
Pastrami is one of those magical foods that you can just eat more of.
Just ordered the holiday box and a babka after watching this. I'm pretty pumped! 😄

What you got was three half loaves of rye bread! The order come with half loaf bread and you ordered an extra loaf, their bakery prepackages the bread in the half loaf so that is why it appears you got more! Side note, I would have ordered the chocolate babka !
I've been living near New York for almost 3 years now and I've never eaten at Katz's once. I do hear it's fantastic though.

Love Katz’s Delicatessen. It not only has great sandwiches (looking at you pastrami) and some pretty good side dishes. I had nearly three years ago when I went to NYC, I have no regrets and is easy to see why it is a staple. If you haven’t tried you should whether it’s ordering online or in-person (when things get better) especially if your pretty close to it.
I didn't know that this was a thing that you could actually order, that's really cool. Also, Mal's shirt is epic.
I am glad to have learned that this place shipps my family lived in new York state but had to move due to a job change and we haven't been able to find several things sense we are now in Arkansas. I may order a bunch of those black and white cookies cause no bakery here has them and the other thing is they cut deli items a bit thicker than we were use to we have to tell them thinner usually.
Oh that's what you mean by pastrami! If you ever come to Quebec, try to find a good Smoked Meat sandwich place, and you'll be served! (They are not exactly the same, but here's what the Internet had to say about it : "Montreal smoked meat is made with variable-fat brisket, whereas pastrami is more commonly made with the fat-marbled navel/plate cut. While some Montreal smoked meat is brine-cured like corned beef, with spices applied later, many smoked meat establishments prefer dry-curing directly with salt and spices.") They are served similarly, usually with french fries. In Quebec City, i'd recommend Phil Smoked Meat! Montreal has a LOT of really good places, but I don't remember any names there. God. I'm hungry now.
