- We love our food on travel. Sometimes when you can not travel to the only spot in the world to get that food, you get the food shipped to you. We did just that with a box from Katz's Delicatessen from New York City's Lower East side. Katz's sandwiches are known for how huge they are and well how good they are. The iconic scene from When Harry Meet Sally and sending a salami to your boy in the Army.
Making sure that you prepare and cook your items is maybe almost more important then just ordering them. I will show you how we prepare our Rueben and lox to make us almost think that we are on Houston street

Ordered pastrami, corned beef, and brisket package with Russian dressing, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, sour and half-sour pickles, hot dogs, and related breads. Had our first sandwich last night and were disappointed in the corned beef. It was very tough and had a lot of gristle. Having pastrami sandwiches tonight and hoping for a better experience. We also ordered some bagels and they are good, though somewhat dry. Not sure if the bagels are supposed to be to be dry but they taste good. I like that the bagels have not been pre sliced. So far, we would not be inclined to reorder given that our order cost $225.
Sorry that was your first experience with the corned beef. That has never been my experience

bagels & rye bread taste different, as well, coming from Kanter's, 3rd & Fairfax, in WLA!!!

That was way too much Lox, but that's your choice. Usually served in long strips folded over on top of cream cheese with capers and onion
Its pronounced "LOCKS" (LOX) not Lok
