Keep watching you videos. It is very professional, professional explanation , it is like David Attenborough, but in VW Transporter’s World👍 Very Helpful Stuff
Improvise, adapt and overcome! Gunnery Sergeant Highway 😁 I re-covered my T4 cab headlining with suedeliner after watching some of your previous videos. I used a cheap quarter moon knife to get the old foam off (they're meant for removing UPVC trims, but have a mix of curves/straight edges so are good for getting curves and recesses). It turned out great - I wouldn't have attempted it without seeing your other videos so thank you. I just watched this for further research - you never know when you might need to do it again 😁
I’m liking the zero advert video for sure. I would have put the old material through the wash and glued it back on. Maybe hit it with some dye too. Thanks for the video 😊
Hi there, I’m a recent convert to the Transporter world. Loving your channel. I have a question for you, I’ve recently bought an 18 year old T5, it’s had a half hearted conversion done. It’s been insulated and has/had a pretty bad carpeting done, so I’m redoing it. Can you tell me if I can carpet over the old spay glue, or do I have the task of removing the old glue first 🥴?
I take it the suadeliner liner was a 4 way stretch? I made the mistake of 2 way stretch suade, got a trimmer to do my headlining i in my t5, looks awesome.
We managed to do our T5 with wool headliner and scrim, but it was a nightmare with loads of uneven tiny creases. An hour or two with an iron and we managed to get it looking pretty good, but what a faff!! 😂
Soft wire brush FTW.
Wire brush 👍
Can you do a video wiring a inverter in with a consumer unit please

Try headlining from AS-trim it worked from me on my t6. They have a good selection of head lining colours which are very close to the OM trim.

Did you read my mind? I need to do that on my new headlining soon cheers Leigh!
Can’t wait to see the results
Thanks for doing this. Have exactly this problem on my T5
You are very welcome :)
It looks really nice considering you've just completed a really boring, but essential pice of work.
what if I spray paint the headliner instead of putting new fabric on it? would it be possible?

It wasn’t the shade liner, but a fabric to mimic the factory headliner. I will find a stretchier version
Awesome 😎
Is it possible to put insulation between the headliner and roof?
Looks nice
Thank you
Excellent 👌 my T4 is sagging so that’s given me some tips!
You are welcome
Use your steamer you used to clean the floor to form the material around the headliner
Great tip. Thank you
Hi random question but what size of 4 way stretch do you need as I don’t want to buy to much 👍 ?
You should only need 1 m off the roll to complete the job, but I’d suggest you buy two just in case :)
@@CombeValleyCampers thanks I just bought 2x2 metres so I’d have enough great video thankyou :)
