Not sure why you need to carpet door liners, when it rains with door open they get wet through. When I did mine I left plastic, if you get caught by heavy shower you can wipe down with sponge cloth. Never had any condensation when shut in either on the doors
hi ive had some get rained on in past it holds ok, don't think a bucket full would do any good tho lol mainly did for the sleeping inside to make it abit more comfy it now going to turn into a camper rather than a carpeted van,
