Thank you so much for your trust! I have a love hate relationship with the 12V impact wrench. I like its size and size to power ratio, but just as I start using it as my main impact wrench we get to a bolt that it can't unscrew and it gets on my nerves 😂 Although I do understand that it is probably my fault for getting too comfortable with it and expecting a bit too much at times.
@@BrokeLifeEU oh well. But at least it's working. Mine turned out to be really out of spec and is not functioning properly. Have to send it back to lidl and hope for a replacement. Right now its out of stock... bummer
@@fabsenbmx 😔 Really sorry to read that! I hope that will be the case with your warranty claim, however I have sent back tools which were not in stock too and they sent me a replacement so I think they have spare stock justo for warranty claims.
Did you reverse plus and minus with the shielded wire? Flux welding should not look that bad, the torch should be connected to minus. And drag the torch with flux, not push like you most of the times do with gas. But it looks like you are doing that. Big disadvantage, you cannot fit bigger rolls. Seems to be a decent machine though. Cannot find it for that price anywhere. As a good alternative IPO tools 160ERS. Takes bigger rolls and has an euro connection, works great on thin car plate. May be this one is also good at that, would be nice to try, not with flux.
Wow, that's a pretty good tool for the price honestly! A nice competitor to Parkside for sure :) While I have zero knowledge of welding and its odds & ends, it was still fun watching this and seeing how a person without any knowledge could get some good welds going. ...and I also didn't expect to see the welder go full thermite mode on that piece of metal when you attempted TIG, that could have easily gone wrong if you weren't paying attention or placed the piece of metal right under your feet (I'm picturing some sort of cramped up & small workshop which won't allow for distancing) and it's a pretty good PSA/clip to have in a video like this as I least expected to see a welding tool do the exact opposite of welding lol. I just have a small question - Does the line automatically feed or do you need to hold the "Feed line" button as shown earlier in the vid? And if so, wouldn't that hinder a welding job if it doesn't feed quickly enough? As for the presents, this year I bought my dream pc build in January after my old pc almost served me for a little over a decade soooo I kind of decided to not buy myself anything for Christmas and be happy with what I have. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you too, I hope your channel does way better next year so you can re-do these tests ;)
Thank you for your comment! I hope your new PC makes you happy and serves you without issues for as long as you want it to! As for the welder you have two options in setting up the wire feed. You can set it up so by pulling the trigger it will start feeding wire until you press it again to stop it or you can set it up so that it will feed the wire as long as you keep the trigger pressed. I can only handle the second option though, I am not skilled enough to be able to handle a constant wire feed. As for the speed, you can also set that up to different levels, or you can change the wire to one with a different diameter depending on if you need more metal to weld with or less. I found it pretty versatile on all counts. I am not just saying this, because Bestarc sent me this, I genuinely like it a lot and have used it for a lot of behind the scenes props to make future videos better. If you have seen my first welding video I got a Parkside inverter welder for cheap and since I got the Bestarc I have not given the Parkside so much as a glance 😂 just so nice having a display that properly shows your settings and all the welding types you need in one place. As for the TIG it looks like that is some medium level welder stuff. I later got it going and I did manage to weld some stuff, however it is really difficult to hold the torch in one hand and feed the wire with the other. I just included this part, because it was the most tragic one, but really it looked so easy on TikTok 😂
Merry Christmas friend! I think need a weld maschine but I do not have one. Thanks to you I will buy this it looks like very good maschine for this price. 15% discount on a new version with 165 amps I think I buy that what do you think?
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too! 🎄 I only have experience with the MIG145 which is the 145A model, however judging by my experience you will not be disappointed with the MIG165. The one in the video is enough for me as I am an absolute novice, however it can't hurt to have more power in reserve. This is said way too often these days however despite Bestarc sending in this thing for testing the opinions are my own. I told them if I found something wrong with this I would report it, however at this price I honestly can not fault it. That is why I also linked another video from a different channel. In that video unlike me they know what they are doing so you can go and watch that as well. Just an awesome machine for this price. I never knew such a versatile welder could exist before I got this. I had known of Bestarc for a long time before I started this channel, but it always seemed unbelievable to me that they had proper working welding machines at those prices. Now that I have tested the MIG145 I am still surprised at the fantastic cost/performance ratio. It is a superb welding machine, that my lacking welding skills just can't do justice to. If you end up buying one please let me know what you think. I would love to know your experience!
I have a suspicion that you failed to read page 10 in the manual and used the same polarity for stick and flux core. That excessive spatter is likely caused by electrode positive polarity, but flux core is meant to be used with electrode negative setting. It's a quite common mistake and quite possibly the source of flux core's bad reputation. Whilst the quality of flux core wire affects the amount of spatter, that mess you had can't definitely be caused by low quality wire only. I have that Parkside welder that does flux core only and using Parkside wire also, results are worlds apart you have shown here. Don't think Parkside has that much different quality tools and supplies than Bestarc, so the dog must be buried somewhere else.
Merry Christmas! 😂 You know as soon as I get myself a bottle of gas this will become a welding channel 😂 I never knew I would have so much interest in welding. Although gasless MIG although ugly from the outside still has a lot of uses for welding in the open. Might not be pretty, but is is easy to use and will weld well.
You can't continuously weld 1mm no way! Getting it to warm would warp it and you probably make holes in it. If you set the machine super low i feel like it doesn't hold well. As for the 2mm (in a proces of welding garage door myself) you also need to stop the material gets to hot. Professional welders feel free to roast me 😅.
Trying to weld that 1mm was sooo difficult 😅 trying it with the thinnest welding wire that I had at the time - 0.6mm made things a lot eaaier. I think possibly MIG is the easiest eay to handle such welds. I went through the metal so many times with an electrode 😅
@BrokeLifeEU you have to tack weld it 1000 times 😆. The proper way would be machine capable of spot welding (it shuts off automatically while you go and that's expensive). Mig is the way to go i also need to get a bottle soon flux is drity which makes it annoying to use. The electrode is super annoying as you have to do two movements and i am not even capable of doing mig properly 😂.
The Bestarc is currently with a friend who has a bottle. Using CO2 and Argon mix he said it is a completely different beast. No splatter and smooth weld all the way. Need to get myself a bottle in 2025 🤩
@BrokeLifeEU Same!!! I want to as well just need to close my new garage (making the door now 😆) when i finish that i will definitely buy bottles for mig and probably at some point pure argon for tig. I'm thinking about a course maybe in the future because for some reason you need to have papers if you do any "critical" welds on cars. Total bs but that's the country i live in 😆. Also someone said they last only about 6months which if true sucks.
I got the12v 76mm grinder and the 12v impact wrench from Parkside and partly the reason for it is you videos.
Cant wait for changing tires LOL

It was on the BESTARC website they had a sale at the time. Looks like it is all sold out now. Possibly still available on their Amazon page.
