This game being a launch title for the 360 was revolutionary. And when Patrick Stewart says in the opening "These are the closing days of the Third Era...and the final hours of my life."...Man, with the soundtrack hitting, you can't open a game better than that.
I remember it was supposed to be a launch game. But it was delayed by 6+ months, right?

Lol, okay okay. It was scheduled to be a launch title but was delayed 4 months. 🙄 Point is, it was one of the first games developed for the Xbox 360 and it still holds up better than most games of the same age.
As a 14 year old, this was life changing. Oblivion was my first open world game that you could do anything. It holds up surprisingly well even now.

Graphically the opening sequence was cutting edge for 2006
Graphically it wasn’t the best but the hype after Morrowind, the visual sweep coupled with Patrick Stewart etc. really hit home with a lot of folk.
On the Orks. Funny-thing they are an off shoot of the elves via a god’s intervention.

Excellent choice of game. Hope to see you play thru this til the end. Daggerfall was my introduction to the Elder Scrolls games, but Oblivion was where I really got addicted to open world RPG's.

The two dlc's are The Shivering Isles and Knights of The Nine. Chillrend is a unique item and in Skyrim also.

Btw, the Daedric princes in Skyrim are Hermaeus Mora, Clavicus Vile, Boethia, Malacath, Mephala, Molag Bal, Peryite etc.

I don’t know if you realized but being a dark elf affects the way people deal with in this game, if I remember correctly. Look at peoples faces when you meet them in the world , the Dark elves are not well liked according to lore. So you may need to persuade and or raise your haggling
Is the voice of the dragon born king Sean Bean from Lord of the rings and Sharpe.
I wonder if my comment was removed because i explained how to get into the dark brotherhood, as its a story line you should 100 percent do, especially with the build your running. Regardless super happy to see my fave streamer playing my fave game.

Facts though this and subnacticas series are my favorite happy to see this play through and that theme song was revolutionary graphics only thing compareable was bioshock 1 halo 2 and gears of war 1 it was great for the era I was 11 years old hooked to this game even when Skyrim came out it was hard to stop playing oblivion Espically the shivering isles dlc this game is what started dlc content fyi also the best part was it's sliders making them look ridiculous and also how the npcs are so brain dead and lmao "is that the vegeta"😂
Epic game for its time, I remember the graphics being revolutionary at that time lol, still a good game though and really in depth story.

Has a full set of leather armour in the blades grandmaster chest....ignores it and buys them instead.

I think your game got glitch or some bugs, did your game mod have weather option @Brian?, (like "Natural environments weather" or something) I didn't remember the game alway overcast and rainy over 3 hours like this.
No mods like that just the one for leveling that’s it
Also if things start getting to difficult its the difficulty modifier in the settings having it in the middle is more like hard but having it on easy is more normal and the other end is like impossible just in case you think it gets to bad haha i never played harder than what you have it at but its tough

Oblivion is a better game than FEAR 😂
FEAR doesn’t run on my PC without tons of fixes and I do plan on trying it out at some point. But it’s not even close to this kind of game it’s a super old horror FPS compared to a super old open world RPG.
@@BrianMenard You should definitely play the original and the first sequel - and all the expansions. Never got round to playing the 3rd one, but it looked to be far more action than the hybrid of action/horror of the 1st two games.
@BrianMenard I didn't know the game was that outdated on pc. Oblivion is a great game it's honestly never ending I was just saying they came out around the same time and the graphics were similar.
@johncucchiarajr.8866 I didn't say that I probably put 500 hours into oblivion. I was just saying he plays a lot of old games and I think he would like the bullet time and the jump scares
I personally cant get into oblivion. Idk why. I loved skyrim, went to try morrowind because i could get it on my phone and i love it atleast as much if not a little more than skyrim, but ive tried 4 times getting into oblivion and it just doesnt grab me like the other 2. Even daggerfall grabbed me a bit more despite being a janky mess. Just feels like oblivion is in that weird spot where if i want deep rpg mechanics, i can just play morrowind hand have a cooler world to do it in and if i want a pretty action adventure story i can just play skyrim. Could also be that oblivion mods just arent as big as the other two. Ive basically always ran morrowind with tamriel rebuilt which makes it bigger than oblivion and i havent been able to bring myself to play skyrim since i broke all my mods and basically have to play vanilla on top of broken mods
