Hi Liz. First and foremost, wishing you a very Happy and Healthy New Year! I think the bulbs that you planted will look wonderful this coming Spring. I can't wait to see the beautiful display! As gardeners, I think it's so important to not compare our gardens. Some of us have large spaces, some have small spaces. Some have full sun, some have all shade, some in between. Some are lucky to have very long growing seasons while others have very short growing seasons. Some have unlimited budgets, some have small budgets. Some have a lot of time to spend in their gardens, some not much time. I've realized all of this over time (and continue to remind myself of this). Just enjoy the hobby and learn from other gardeners as you go. As content creators, the same applies I feel. We all have content that we are making and have different value that we add for people watching our videos. Some creators like making scripted how-to videos; some like to just vlog; some like to do garden tours, etc.. There's no right or wrong. I think the key is to be yourself and do what makes you happy. Just be you, my friend! On a final note, all gardeners, even people who have gardened their whole life, are not experts. There is always learning to be done. I think that's what makes the hobby of gardening so interesting. God bless and have a wonderful day! 🙏🏼😊💞🌻

It’s true we all have different talents and struggles. In the end, it makes more sense to take your own personal strength and utilize that and just know that everyone is different and that’s OK. And in actuality that is the beauty of it. A peach will never be a pomegranate and a pomegranate will never be a peach! And we wouldn’t want them to be. 👍👍👍 Liz

Hi Liz. Happy New Year. I like the idea that you plant these bulbs in flower pots. I have the same problem with my spring perennials. I ordered daffodils and I am going to place them in the refrigerator for that many weeks also so that I can place them in my pots. Just have fun talking to us and educate us at the same time. I have that bag of tulips from Costco too, you reminded me, I need to grab them out of the basement and get them planted. Thanks for the reminder! 😀 I will do that this week. I put mine in pots too as the late snows smash them to the ground. Great idea with the animal food bag repurpose trick. Yes, let the negativity roll off your back and keep on rolling. Hi Liz! I loved your video! I love watching other TH-camrs who are themselves. I think people connect better that way. I know that is something I'm trying to get better at in my own videos. I have to approve all my comments on my channel because some comments have been negative towards my son, who has autism. I just don't want him reading those. But lucky they are few. Thanks for sharing with us! Its so nice to hear your point of view. As far as the bulbs go I do not fertilize them when I plant either. They only get fertilized when they rest of the bed gets fertilized. I heard the same thing that they have everything they need in their bulb.

Darn. I lost my comment! I enjoy spending video time with you and look forward to seeing them. I am just another person who feels we share a friendship with you! We can NEVER have too many friends. I stopped watching an influencer who I thought was friendly but found out he wasn't! I was shocked by his comment to people dropping by. And yes. I can understand uninvited visitors can be stressful. But the way he addressed it and what he said was harsh. There are much nicer people out there to watch! So thank you, Liz for being one of the more caring kind. One day I will try planting bulbs. I learned a long time ago that we can't please everyone. I try to be kind and caring and like to make people happy. I do that by being true to myself knowing not everyone will agree. The man that was angry with me was upset because I did not read the instructions for the mini chainsaw. He said that I was irresponsible and did not care about my viewers safety and only cared about making money. (I kind of laughed at that comment) and just tried to be nice. Anyway… I would have been disappointed too if i found out that one of my favorite influencers were rude. That would be such a disappointment. @@GardenHappy personally I don't think you should read instructions on things like a chain saw to people. I think that could be an insurance nightmare for influencers. People need to take responsibility for tools THEY use and need to read safety instructions on their own.

Enjoy your garden. I have no script either and I don’t ask people to subscribe or like anymore. I’m thankful people watch but I do TH-cam because I love gardening. This channel is mainly for me to document my garden. Those who learn from what I document I’m gl and grateful. My channel is for documentation in LIVING COLOR instead of just writing it down in a journal. It takes the pressure off of me. My only thing is I love to edit and add music and things to my videos and editing can be a looooog beast. I like things to look and sound a certain way. In the end it’s not a problem but it helps to make my videos better (in my opinion). I love it and I enjoy your channel. Thanks for sharing.

Being a creator on TH-cam to me would be stressful, knowing you need to come up with new content. You are doing great and I enjoy your channel. I can’t seem to get out to create something beautiful that makes me happy. It’s so hot and humid here in the summer, then when it’s nice I let the days get away by doing something else! It’s crazy!
Hi CindyP thank you for taking the time to comment. Actually coming up with video ideas is the easy part. I have so many ideas in my head but not enough time to make them. The hard part is the editing process. Editing videos takes way longer and is more stressful than anything. I imagine a lot of channels pay somebody to edit their videos, but I do it myself. So who cares if you don't say the right words or someone doesn't like what you're doing. We will always be faced with situations and come in contact with negativity. It's how you perceive and react to it and that separates whether or not you're going to let it ruin your day. I think you took a divine outlook and prayed for that angry man. You are truly blessed. Here's some cool beans from my family history my oldest cousin out of 21 one of us who are all still alive. Arlene will be 78 this year was a professional tap dancer and baton twirler and she still can make those shoes sing and twirl and mean baton around. Too fun eh I still believe you and I are related. Oh my goodness Kelly how much I would love to meet your cousin Arlene. Wow you come from a big family that is for sure. 78 years old and still tapping and twirling. I LOVE IT!!! Who knows maybe we are related somehow. I never told you this, but I was actually adopted. Hahaha I don’t know too much about my relatives only my biological mother and father. I grew up in a family of six children, I was the youngest. I started tap dancing as a little child and performing in my bedroom. I had no idea where my desire for dancing was coming from. Then I finally met my biological parents and it all made sense. You are so right about always being faced with situations and come in contact with negativity. Jesus actually warned us of that. All lessons in life and opportunities to show grace and faith. Thank you again for such a well thought out, beautiful and heartfelt comment. @@GardenHappy Rene was an X-ray tech by trade when she was younger she had a studio for both baton and tap she performed at a lot of functions and competed throughout the early 60's and 70's Her daughter Kristie said a few years ago she never lost the knack to tap or twirl. I remember the days of her spinning those baton sticks with fire on the ends. Her mother was my father's eldest sister. There are a bunch of us and 2nd cousins there are a few of those too. I know most of them, not as well as the first generation my gran was big on family parties. Until the next time keep the great videos coming. You are so right most people on this channel are friends, people with generous kind hearts. We need more of that in the world.

@@GardenHappy Hi! I don't believe they are a type of daffodil. The snowbell blooms are small, and they tend to droop over, like a bell. Looking online, they can still be purchased. I'm blessed that my bulbs are the progeny of bulbs that at least 50 years old! Legacies!

@GardenHappy I planted my bulbs last october.i think I planted more or less 500 bulbs last year.i slepe adding my inventory Last year I started selling my tulips blooms last spring amd actually paid for my expense. I didnt seek any daffodils or alliums.right now the ground is frozen.we cannot plant anything.the only thing I can plant is poppy seeds mostly scatter in the ground and hope for the best they germinate.😊

I love this unedited vlog style videos. It's relaxing and I think it's healthy to watch and listen to someone that could be your good neighbor or friend, just being themselves in a friendly manner. One of my struggles is to start putting videos out on my TH-cam account. I'm an artist who paints and make music, and also love gardening and micro farming, but I feel I should have a strategy before starting posting stuff. Any advice?

That’s such a nice comment when you ask me about a tree are you referring to the front of my house or somewhere in the backyard. I was thinking about planting a tree in the front of my house, but I decided I might be planting some raised vegetable boxes out there instead. I keep going back-and-forth with the idea. I don’t think I have any room in my backyard for a tree being that I just planted a white crêpe myrtle last year. Wow a flowering peach tree that would be so amazing if I were to plant a tree, it would be in the front of my house on the other side of the lawn area. As gardeners, I think it's so important to not compare our gardens. Some of us have large spaces, some have small spaces. Some have full sun, some have all shade, some in between. Some are lucky to have very long growing seasons while others have very short growing seasons. Some have unlimited budgets, some have small budgets. Some have a lot of time to spend in their gardens, some not much time. I've realized all of this over time (and continue to remind myself of this). Just enjoy the hobby and learn from other gardeners as you go.
As content creators, the same applies I feel. We all have content that we are making and have different value that we add for people watching our videos. Some creators like making scripted how-to videos; some like to just vlog; some like to do garden tours, etc.. There's no right or wrong. I think the key is to be yourself and do what makes you happy. Just be you, my friend!
On a final note, all gardeners, even people who have gardened their whole life, are not experts. There is always learning to be done. I think that's what makes the hobby of gardening so interesting.

It’s true we all have different talents and struggles. In the end, it makes more sense to take your own personal strength and utilize that and just know that everyone is different and that’s OK. Hi Liz. Happy New Year. I like the idea that you plant these bulbs in flower pots. I have the same problem with my spring perennials. I ordered daffodils and I am going to place them in the refrigerator for that many weeks also so that I can place them in my pots. Just have fun talking to us and educate us at the same time. I have that bag of tulips from Costco too, you reminded me, I need to grab them out of the basement and get them planted. Thanks for the reminder! 😀 I will do that this week. Hi Liz! I loved your video! I love watching other TH-camrs who are themselves. I think people connect better that way. I know that is something I'm trying to get better at in my own videos. I have to approve all my comments on my channel because some comments have been negative towards my son, who has autism. I just don't want him reading those. But lucky they are few. As far as the bulbs go I do not fertilize them when I plant either. They only get fertilized when they rest of the bed gets fertilized. I heard the same thing that they have everything they need in their bulb.

I stopped watching an influencer who I thought was friendly but found out he wasn't! I was shocked by his comment to people dropping by. And yes. I can understand uninvited visitors can be stressful. But the way he addressed it and what he said was harsh. There are much nicer people out there to watch! So thank you, Liz for being one of the more caring kind. One day I will try planting bulbs. The man that was angry with me was upset because I did not read the instructions for the mini chainsaw. He said that I was irresponsible and did not care about my viewers safety and only cared about making money. (I kind of laughed at that comment) and just tried to be nice.

Enjoy your garden. I have no script either and I don’t ask people to subscribe or like anymore. I’m thankful people watch but I do TH-cam because I love gardening. This channel is mainly for me to document my garden. Those who learn from what I document I’m gl and grateful. My channel is for documentation in LIVING COLOR instead of just writing it down in a journal. It takes the pressure off of me.
My only thing is I love to edit and add music and things to my videos and editing can be a looooog beast. I like things to look and sound a certain way. In the end it’s not a problem but it helps to make my videos better (in my opinion).

Being a creator on TH-cam to me would be stressful, knowing you need to come up with new content. You are doing great and I enjoy your channel. I can’t seem to get out to create something beautiful that makes me happy. It’s so hot and humid here in the summer, then when it’s nice I let the days get away by doing something else! It’s crazy!

The hard part is the editing process. Editing videos takes way longer and is more stressful than anything. I imagine a lot of channels pay somebody to edit their videos, but I do it myself. Here's some cool beans from my family history my oldest cousin out of 21 one of us who are all still alive.
Arlene will be 78 this year was a professional tap dancer and baton twirler and she still can make those shoes sing and twirl and mean baton around. Too fun eh I still believe you and I are related.

Oh my goodness Kelly how much I would love to meet your cousin Arlene. Wow you come from a big family that is for sure. 78 years old and still tapping and twirling. I LOVE IT!!! Who knows maybe we are related somehow. I never told you this, but I was actually adopted. Hahaha I don’t know too much about my relatives only my biological mother and father. I grew up in a family of six children, I was the youngest. I started tap dancing as a little child and performing in my bedroom. I had no idea where my desire for dancing was coming from. Then I finally met my biological parents and it all made sense.
You are so right about always being faced with situations and come in contact with negativity. Jesus actually warned us of that. All lessons in life and opportunities to show grace and faith.

@@GardenHappy Rene was an X-ray tech by trade when she was younger she had a studio for both baton and tap she performed at a lot of functions and competed throughout the early 60's and 70's
Her daughter Kristie said a few years ago she never lost the knack to tap or twirl.
I remember the days of her spinning those baton sticks with fire on the ends.
Her mother was my father's eldest sister. There are a bunch of us and 2nd cousins there are a few of those too. I know most of them, not as well as the first generation my gran was big on family parties.
Until the next time keep the great videos coming. You are so right most people on this channel are friends, people with generous kind hearts. We need more of that in the world.

@@GardenHappy Hi! I don't believe they are a type of daffodil. The snowbell blooms are small, and they tend to droop over, like a bell. Looking online, they can still be purchased. I'm blessed that my bulbs are the progeny of bulbs that at least 50 years old! Legacies!

Last year I started selling my tulips blooms last spring amd actually paid for my expense. I didnt seek any daffodils or alliums.right now the ground is frozen.we cannot plant anything.the only thing I can plant is poppy seeds mostly scatter in the ground and hope for the best they germinate.😊

I love this unedited vlog style videos. It's relaxing and I think it's healthy to watch and listen to someone that could be your good neighbor or friend, just being themselves in a friendly manner. One of my struggles is to start putting videos out on my TH-cam account. I'm an artist who paints and make music, and also love gardening and micro farming, but I feel I should have a strategy before starting posting stuff. Any advice?

My biggest advice to you, based on my own experience is to go for it and be yourself right from the start. if you come up with a strategy for your channel, you’re going to be like everyone else. What will set you apart from everyone else is YOU! Your talent and individual mindset is what will make you different and unique. Hi David, thank you for taking the time to comment. I love how you described my garden with having texture and points of interest. That’s such a nice comment when you ask me about a tree are you referring to the front of my house or somewhere in the backyard. I was thinking about planting a tree in the front of my house, but I decided I might be planting some raised vegetable boxes out there instead. I keep going back-and-forth with the idea. I don’t think I have any room in my backyard for a tree being that I just planted a white crêpe myrtle last year. Wow a flowering peach tree that would be so amazing if I were to plant a tree, it would be in the front of my house on the other side of the lawn area.
