I love watching Bernadette Banner. She's so accomplished and what she makes with just hand sewing most of the time is amazing. Abby Cox is another interesting channel if you haven't watched her yet. I've been dealing with surcharges on my groceries for using curbside pickup since it's beyond my capabilities to navigate a large supermarket. Where I live, I'm never sure about overnight parking, so I have to search parking rules in my city once a year to avoid tickets!

Check out diesel heaters. They are cheap, easy to hook up and pump out heat. I just put one in my camper, it's badass!!!

I’m so scared of carbon monoxide poisoning!! Should I be that worried?
@@NikkiJabs With diesel "parking" heaters the air intake and exhaust are vented to the outside. So as long as they're properly installed, there is no risk of carbon monoxide getting back into the van or in reducing Oxygen levels. They're also superior to most other options like propane Little Buddy heaters as they won't add moisture to the interior of the van. I've had an Espar D2 diesel heater in my van for nearly 5 years now and wouldn't be without it. The well known brands can be expensive, but there are Chinese options available now for just a couple hundred bucks.
@@NikkiJabs As long as the exhaust is routed outside, you should be good. They are a popular heating source all around the globe.

I was just typing this to you about the van life app they have and the community that is involved with it and they also have a membership that you pay I believe yearly that connects you to all of this but you probably know all of this. I found something in common with the young solo female van lifers is when you drive you all listen to 80's and 90's music which is the music I grew up on and its global it doesn't matter if you're in USA or England or Australia😀

I shop at Walmart, it is like 30-50% cheaper than grocery stores. Yeah prices are crazy high. I also installed a wood burning stove in the van. It works quite well.
A wood stove sounds soooo cozy!
@@NikkiJabs it actually was pretty easy to put in. It is a cub mini and it took one day to install and most of that was waiting on caulk to fully cure.

Two months of Covid and after effects? That had to be Hell! 😧 Glad to see that you're feeling better and back on the road, even if that means having to run from the cold. You did miss the worst of it here in Michigan, 14 degrees last night in Western Oakland County. It was 75 ten days ago WTF? 😆
If you're having trouble finding a good boondocking site and heading towards Florida to look for decent weather (But don't want to make the entire drive). Check out iOverlander and look just East of Forsyth, Georgia. It's hands down my favorite free stop along I-75. It's generally empty, but this time of year there might be a few hunters parked there, but it's a very large site.
Yes!! I had one week where I couldn’t leave the bed. It was horrible flu symptoms and also my skin hurt at the slightest touch (cutaneous hyperesthesia - very weird). Then I got it AGAIN in the same month and was out for about 3 days. But for the entirety of Sept and Oct, I had at least two symptoms lingering. Small, dry coughs were so annoying.

This looks both frustrating, and fun. Lol. Why no diesel heater yet? I bought one for my tent (I got the 8kw model, way overkill for a tent). They're so cheap, so simple, so effective. I only went camping once this year though. Swing through Lansing, I'll help you install one. :)

@@NikkiJabs I'm super handy, used to build dune buggies, built a home recording studio, was a computer guy for 20 years. Now I entertain drunk karaoke singers for a living. Lol. I've watched several diesel heater install videos (I plan do be one of y'all in a couple of years). I'd be happy to help, and it'd be awesome to meet a cute TH-cam celebrity. :)
