- Rich Keeble is going to give it a go anyway in spite if the training fails. It's the last episode of the now unfortunately titled 3:10 marathon training series. Good luck if you're running on Sunday!

I am officially a regular viewer. See you on the sub 4 bus in Brighton!
Good to see you here Stephen!!
It's an honour! Would be lovely to see you!
Good to see you back at it. 👌
cheers Stu!
Hope the marathon goes well for you 🤞Your videos are a refreshing change to the majority of running TH-camrs - keep up the good work 👍
Thanks Matthew! That’s very nice to hear! I’m enjoying making them at the moment!
Cheering for you, Rich!
cheers Lee!
All the best of luck and we will try and look out for you, you have made me paranoid whenever I have a shower now that i'll have a horrific injury haha 🤣😅
Thank you! Good luck to you and maybe see you tomorrow! Haha I wouldn't worry, you're about half my age so you can probably react a lot quicker in that scenario!
I'm running it on Sunday too, mate, having spent the last two months basically injured. I'm still injured truth be told, and it's probably a woeful idea. But I can't resist! My Strava looks very similar to yours, albeit I've flatlined longer than you.
oh no! sorry about the injury but well done for making it out! Unless it's a silly idea... for both of us. Either way, good luck for tomorrow!
Good luck Rich! I’m sure you’ll do just fine 😊
Thanks Michael! Only time will tell!
Hi Rich, I’m also running the Brighton Marathon, and in a very similar position. I’ve been dogged by a knee injury since January, the longest run I’ve managed was half distance a few weeks ago.
All I can hope for really is finishing under 5 hours, it’s my first marathon, so just crossing the line at all would be good enough for me. I’ll do a more representative one next year! Good luck to you on your end!
ah thank you so much! Crossing the line is an incredible achievement so very best of luck to you too! I hope your knee is ok!
I watched this after Brighton. That's the magic of television I guess.
Incredible isn't it. Thank you
Good luck on the run. Don’t put pressure on yourself for a time. You’re doing well to get to the start, considering bath slip, eye lumps and other issues.
ha thank you thank you. Yes I'm just going to see how I get on to be honest!
Best of luck Rich
Thanks Johnny! Appreciate it
My training has gone as well as yours has. Had similar lofty targets at the outset, picked up a few injuries over the last couple of months (nothing as severe as falling on a tap, mind) and now would be happy if I can make to the start line let alone finish. Should be running the Brighton Marathon as well on Sunday so will be sure to come say Hi if I see you. If I don't, then hope you have a great run (lovin' the vids by the way!)
aw thank you very much for saying so! Sorry to hear about your injuries - seems to have happened to a lot of us! Good luck and maybe see you tomorrow!
Hello Paul Cunningham here.,.good luck Rich Keeble! 😁
Hello Paul Cunningham! Thank you very much!
I’m supposed to be running Manchester in about a weeks time. But I’ve been injured for the past 2 weeks so don’t know what to do now. Good luck rich. Always like your videos 😂
Thank you Victoria! Very kind of you! Sorry about your injury! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!
Very quirky video, love it! Glad to hear you are doing the mara 💪 May see you there
Thanks Jason! Ah maybe see you there then! Good luck to you!
Glad to hear you’re still running it. I’m running Brighton too, I will do as instructed and say hello if I see you! Garmin is predicting a sub 3:30 for me which is alarming given my PB last year was 3:53. Let’s see…
hi Nick! Great, might see you there then! Maybe Garmin is right?!
I think that might be a glimmer of hope in your eye, Rich, though I'm also not a doctor.
Best of luck!
Haha a swollen, red, glimmer of hope. Thanks Mark!
All the best thanks for the laughs💪💪
Aw thanks Declan. Appreciate you checking it out!
Good luck tomorrow Keebo. H
Thank you very much!
Incredibly inspiring intro to your documentary video, Rich! The best in the TH-cam biz! I think you'll do great at Brighton...that extra rest can't be all bad for the body. Anything sub-4 is amazing either way. I'm calling sub-3:50 as my prediction!
Ooh don’t get me too excited now young man! Thank you very much as always
Special thanks for the feet shots.
Best of luck!
❤️❤️❤️
Good luck on Sunday! Great job on getting yourself back together and getting to the start line. Great resilience!
Thanks Simon! A lot of it is mental isn’t it and I can thank my hot wife for encouraging me to get out for those first runs after the accident!
See you there Rich! Also aiming for the 3.50-4.00 slot
Yes Steve! Good luck and see you there!
Best of luck Rich!
Thank you very much!
See you there!
Yes! See you there!
Superb intro👏😂
Thank you! I’m hoping it will get me about a million subscribers
good luck for the race
Thank you very much! I think you advised I skip it so I hope you don’t think I’m being reckless! I did weigh it all up carefully to be honest and decided simply that I would regret not trying. If I end up jogging super slow or even walking at least I did it. Don’t worry I certainly won’t be pushing and in fact I may take a break from marathons after this one regardless and focus on shorter distances and just maintaining some consistency. Thanks again
@@TheRichKeeble right, i suggested you should skip it, primarily because i know from my own experience what happens, when you do a marathon undertrained. But i also can understand, why you still go for it......stop reading here, unless you are curious, what else i could suggest.
My gut feeling is, you won`t get under 4 hours and will suffer big time in case you try.........
my suggestion is a run/walk strategy straight from the start with 1 minute walking breaks at the beginning and in the middle of each mile.
The walking pace could be somewhere around a 20 minute per mile pace, the running parts could be somewhere around 9 minutes per mile pace.
As a result you could finish somewhere around 4 hours 20 without suffering too much. In case you feel good at the 20 mile mark, you could skip a few of the walking breaks and even get a negative split, while overtaking a lot of runners during the last 5 miles.........just a few ideas i thought i share with you instead of telling you after the race, what i would have done.....and yes again i did walk/run all the mrathons i knew i was undertrained, and yes again, in one of the runs i was the last finisher of the race, and it was the marathon with the best heartwarming feelings and emotions i ever had while running a marathon, i got some teary eyes, having dooe it with almost no proper training and despite being 30 kg overweight at the time......there are options to make your run a beautiful memory, if you play your cards right....enjoy as much as you can and run as slow as you can
Maybe see you there - im assuming for 2:55 ish
Blimey Charles that's some time! Good luck to you!
Nice one Rich. I’m cautiously optimistic I can do something similar at London. My Strava graph looks very similar to yours but I ran/walked a (slow) half earlier this week and the ankle was ok… not amazing but ok.
So let’s see.
Really looking forward to your Brighton video! Good Luck!
Thanks again Conrad. Yes you’ve got to be careful with an ankle. Well done on competing the half though. I was just saying to someone I think I would be far worse off mentally if I don’t at least try the marathon even if maybe I should skip it and rest for ultimate recovery. Good luck with your recovery and I will certainly be releasing some sort of video about the experience!
@@TheRichKeeble Ankle taps are the worst I’ve heard. Boom boom 😂
On the bright side, think of those trendy “MARATHON WITH NO TRAINING” titles you could use.
Oh yes! Millions of views here I come! 🤑
I’ve got a funny eye, too. Fancy that, eh!?
I do fancy that
Hi Rich. Long time viewer. Second time commenter. (After enquiring about your Armani Fridge). I will also be going for 4 hours at Manchester Marathon a week on Sunday. I will be drawing on you for inspiration on the way around. If a man with a tap wound and a gammy eye can break 240 mins, then why can't I?
Hi Carl! Thanks for sticking around! Haha exactly! You’ll have no issues I’m sure! Maybe see you there! Sadly I think the fridge has moved onto a new home. Good luck!
Are you looking ahead at doing another this year in the autumn? Maybe by the time you're ready to do another marathon you'll be knocking on the door for sub 3....
In my head I’ve been planning on a little marathon break after this one - and that was before the issues. I thought I might just focus on mileage building and getting times down for other races. Then maybe try for sub 3 in a couple of years…? But never say never of course! How are your issues? Will you be having a go at Brighton?
@@TheRichKeeble After much soul-searching, I have come to the decision that I've paid for a medal so I want a medal. Maybe not the most intelligent decision but I think I'm going to just set off at basically recovery run pace and see how I get on. I did a 26km run on Saturday and which was fine for the first 19km but started getting aches in my legs and hips after that (cardio seemed fine though). I just haven't had enough time to build up enough leg strength for serious distance, so I predict a lot of walking and I'll probably end up coming in at like 5hrs or something but ah well.
Oh, hi Richard. Can we talk about your tshirt being tucked in please? Thanks in advance. ❤
We can certainly talk about it
Hi rich, pleased to meet you. I’ll be at Brighton marathon potentially running a similar pace to you. If you see me say hi! I’ve got short hair
Hi Andrew. Ah yes good luck! See you there! I look like that idiot in the video
Don't worry the body has muscle memory, from last year 😝
ha maybe so Simon! Maybe so...
Is Dale returning the favour. Is Dale running. Where is Dale. Good luck
Thank you! Don't worry Dale will be there - I'll be moving into his start wave in fact
All TH-cam “running videos” need to start with the obligatory “making coffee” intro. Pls see Cole, Ben and Philly for advice. Other than that schoolboy error, good effort.
haha thank you. I'm actually planning on rectifying that mistake in the next video...
