The programmers behind Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory need to have their statues outside the Ubisoft Headquarters. God damn that game was perfect. Bring it back please!
@@lazlo686 Absolutely. Chaos theory is perfection. Honestly the writing in the game, the plot, the stealth, the assault. Lambert and fishers commentary and not to mention the SOUNDTRACK is 10/10 it's a masterpiece. I wish they can create a new splinter cell like chaos theory. I'm waiting for it.
despite the reputation of Ubisoft in game bugs and glitches, All these people working hard developing a game amazes me. It's not easy to code, to automate, to design an entities behavior, design a world level. All of these requires an intensive experience in programming and also with a mathematical background.
Honesty, it's fine to complain about bugs and glitches, but they're being way too harsh on the devs. Some errors can go all the way back to a fault in the game engine itself. I have a hypothesis that No Man's Sky's initial launch removed a lot of promised features because the devs found some sort of a game breaking bug regarding things like multiplayer that stemmed from low-level code like a week before the game's launch date, so they chose to remove them altogether for the moment instead of pushing the deadline again. This is completely understandable if that was the case since fixing low-level or even game engine level errors would inevitably lead to rewriting entire features on the high-level code, causing months or sometimes years to fix.
Michal Černý you should do some research and watch some Reviews. like AngryJoe for example. Research about the Article where Ubisoft said that the Downgrade of Watchdogs and The Division were "necessary because it would be too unfair towards Consoles if the PC Port is too superior" (Article published 2013-2014 on GameStar) Or about the Article where the .ini File for Watchdogs had some hidden options with the commantary "// for PC Version. Don't bother with it//". (Artikcle published 2014 on GameStar, GameSpot and 4Players) Or about the leak, where an external Programmer asked Guillemot during a conference why the PC ports "look like shit" and Guillemot answered: "because 90% of PC gamers are pirates anyway. Don't bother with PC ports." (Article published 2014-2015 on GameSpot but removed a few weeks later. Gee, i wonder why) And that's just the tip of the Iceberg.

I like Ubisoft very much since the excellent and awesome game series " The Prince of Persia"! I think Ubisoft should contract more players who has been playing around a decade or more, because they could help very much in finding excellent gameplay mechanics! Game industry has established some "unofficial standards" in gameplay mechanics and in game controls. For exemple, every shooter in the world allow you to change weapons using the mouse wheel. This is not mandatory but is a very good practice because it make controls and gameplay mechanics more intuitive. In more recent Ubisoft's titles I notice some inattention with some good gameplay mechanics practices that has been used since decades and has evolved for many years! I would advice Ubisoft very much to get long termed players to help because there are lots of them around and they know very well how an awesome gameplay should work.
Ubisoft rocks all the way in PC game environment. I loved playing prince of Persia and assassin creed, the story lines of the games were too mind boggling as well. It never gets old enough.
Any game with Ubisoft slapped on it will always give me PTSD. Ill only buy your game 3 months after release if its really the same. No downgrade, fail buggy launch etc.

You could probably use AWS lambda or Nvidias new python support and a general abstracting engine to push new game assets into tests automatically, and both record the tests, get charted results like you would a unit test, and over time refactor the engine to push new git merges into the workflow automatically with proposed game engine changes, assuming the asset layouts are in XML or something easily parsable. After playing Watch Dog2 and AC Brotherhood recently, I am pretty clear Ubisoft didn’t program game to be fun, but to drive player nuts with those lack of logic and confusing game control.
Assuming the Ubisofts games work's at all. Their games lacks basic concepts of content or any remotely enjoyable gameplay and lacks any common sense. They can't design a game that works properly as intended but they only have Advertisement.

I see a ubisoft programming video, I click on it hoping all the comments are people roasting them, I am not disappointed.
Wow.Programers in Ubisoft?I tought evrey game was copy-paste
After playing Watch Dog2 and AC Brotherhood recently, I am pretty clear Ubisoft didn’t program game to be fun, but to drive player nuts with those lack of logic and confusing game control.
Assuming the Ubisofts games work's at all. Their games lacks basic concepts of content or any remotely enjoyable gameplay and lacks any common sense. They can't design a game that works properly as intended but they only have Advertisement.
How actually it is...
