The fall of the core warcraft lore as we know it sure as the devs were so caught up in making more grand zones and raids that they forgot the core areas of the game and the story

To this day World of Warcraft still has millions of active players. So if 20 years later still having millions of active players and the still the most talked about mainstream MMORPG to ever exist means the fall of World of Warcraft. Then what does that mean for all the other MMORPG's that have less players and is almost never mentioned in the mainstream unless it does something that reminds people of World of Warcraft?
