happened to me, thats why no more ridgid cable for me, u cut it and it unravels , and cable is gone, learned it the hard way, renssi cables will not unravel

Yeah the stuff from Finland is great. Ridgid has a new cable they call dead core but I’m assuming it’s the Finnish cable

You can use a general inner core cable. That’s what the flexsi rooter uses

Have you had a chance to use the flex shaft carrier from plumber tools or is there a specific reason you use it with the ridgid carriers?

Yeah I have a few of those carriers. It’s
Nice for storing them but I have a hard time using them to run them in the carrier. Like when I turn the drill on, the cable wants to come shooting out of the center hole. I like the design of the ridgid machines. All enclosed with a revolving drum inside is nice

@@terjavec thanks for the input. I’m looking into getting a 204+ but wanted to see if I should start with the entire plumber tools set or not.

@@NTXPLUMBERit would be quite a bit cheaper by going all plumber tools but I just can’t get the hang of the bare shaft concept haha. Also, if you go with the 204+, try and get it with the dead core cable. It’s like the same as plumber tools cable and doesn’t require soldering or welding. Also I prefer ridgids sheathing over plumber tools. What I have been doing lately is running plumber tools cable (8mm) but using air brake tubing as a sheathing. Seems to make it slightly stiffer so it pushes better

@@terjavec that’s why I’m on the fence about it. The plumber tools set would be about half the cost but if you have trouble with it and already have as much experience with them then I doubt I’d get the hang of it anytime soon. I might just get the 204+ and the plumber tools cable

@@NTXPLUMBER can’t go wrong with that. Yeah I just can’t get the hang of using bare cable. The ridgid machines are perfect for me. A big thing with the plumber tools cables is that they don’t oil them when they ship them, so make sure to oil it when you get one

Thank you, have you tested out the cables from Plumber-Tools?

Hi, sorry, I never I got a notification about a comment on here haha. I love plumber tools cables. I run them instead of ridgid cables in my k9 machines. They are way stronger

Hey sorry for the late response. These are cheapo ones from Harbor Freight but they work perfect for this
