Berlin never got the props he deserved in beating FSU and UF, never losing to either n his career at Miami!!

Bc Berlin was terrible and looked absolutely awful in there often times at QB. Even in games they won he looked bad
Although I think it may have been better for him had they changed up the offense to fit his style more.
What a beast we had, the last truly great nose tackle Vince Wifork, just Dynomite!!!
DJ Williams, Jonathan Vilma, Sean Taylor, Vince Wilfork, and I think they still had Antrel Rolle ....... wow they had a loaded defense all are or were premiere pro bowlers in the NFL....... GO CANES!!!

I remember watching this game and it was a heavyweight fight all the way to the finish. Much respect to the Canes although I'm a Seminole fan. We just couldn't get the field goals to go through. Just goes to show how much emotions go through the players on both sides because of the magnitude of the rivalry. The best of the 90's.
God the hype was so real back then. Nothing better than playing FSU or UF in a bowl game. Another chance to party and get crazy!

I'm a USC Trojan diehard but I will say this; I enjoyed when Miami,FL was on top of the College Football because it made the sport competitive and exciting.
I've been watching College Football along with the NFL for almost 30 years and I will say this: The U has had the most NFL talent since the early '80s until now that I've seen until now. The SEC has totally copied The U's style recruiting fast and athletic student athletes. The U has set the trend for college football.
Hard to believe that game was in 2003 what a grinding tough physical defensive battle that was typical miami fsu rivalry glad we won the orange bowl go canes 🙌

@canefreak2001 Highlights like these really bring back memories! I hope you can one day do a highlight video on the 2003 game against Boston College. That game really showed everything this team was all about and how much potential it had. The defense was at its best. Sean Taylor had a beautiful interception for a touchdown, Vilma absolutely murdered BC's QB, Kellen mossed 3 defenders, Roscoe returned a punt for a td.

With all due respect to canefreak2001, I wasn't happy that this was the Orange Bowl matchup- not because I didn't like Miami, but because it was a rematch and that they were gonna be in the ACC a year earlier.
They could have sent Kansas State or Ohio State to this game and put FSU in the Fiesta Bowl instead.
I think Ohio State was originally supposed to play Miami in the Orange Bowl but they lobbied very hard against playing there, against Miami.
and we haven't won much since.

Thanks For another great Miami Hurricanes video!! I wish we would go back having a fullback, maybe Richt will have one. We've had some great ones here too. I always felt that Davenport played like a fullback. Man, he was a great one!! Anyway, keep on keeping on Canesfreak!!!
I remember no one was real excited about this matchup when it was announced - the teams already played each other every year anyway and were scheduled to open the next season against each other but once the game started it was typical 1980s through mid-2000s Miami-Florida State.

definitely one of my favorite Cane games
i know alot of people don't think it was a great game, because there wasn't alot of scoring
but i personally loved watching our D dominate like that
I wish we still had a great defense like this
If this year's D can be anywhere near like the 03 D, i think we will be a legit championship contender

Do you have the regular season game against the Noles? That was 1 of only 2 college football games I've ever been to and I had great memories with my dad watching that overtime thriller.
Do you have any highlights of the '04 game against louisville when we were down 24-7 at the half.
This was the last good year for a long time. Hopefully, TNM is beginning of a new ascent to the top again.

@Antman1290 if you are referring to the 2003-2004 season then you are wrong. miami did not become a member of the acc till the next year.

Well while the cop where tring to figure out who started the fight I just sat there waiting for my brother to show up, My flesh and blood brothers and if it wasn't for them I would have never become a Hurricanes... Well the hour went by and no signs of them coming. But just as the security where taking us out there in the tunnel a familiar face, could it be me brother, wait a minute thats not my brother it's my Seminole cousin coming out towards me

Especially when the Canes are irrelevant in the college football world. I like UM scheduling Bethune Cookman, that is who they need to schedule OOC. Anyway, I still root for the Canes and I hope they compete for the ACC title this season. Would love to see a 10 win season and a bowl victory for the Canes. Good day!

Chris Rix could have played Miami 25 times & he would have never beaten them Canes.
Those Larry Coker teams always had trouble scoring. The D was great, should have won another Natty or 2.
The Canes should have been back-to-back national champs were it not for the refs screwing them with that bogus pass interference call against Ohio State in the championship game a year or two before this game.

its funny that same year we faced them for the frist time as a confrence rival and we beat the shit out of them
coming out towards me, is he here to be friend or foe.... He got close to me and ask me "whats going on?" I told I have been seating here in the tunnel waiting for something to happen. He then approach the Cop and told Him that I was not involve in the fight.... Then cop ask the guys (just to let you know they are all hurricanes fans lol) Did I do something to start the fight? They all said "No". Then the cop ask me for my age I told him I was 16 years old.
it was fun watching the defense back then. Now they just suck. Smh. Miss watching Sean Taylor.

@peterbuiltlong If my recollection is right....the last time Florida played Miami ended up 26-3 Gators. Maybe you have forgot the Gators beat Miami 7 years in a row....from 1971 thru 1977. Florida also beat Miami in 82, 83, and 85. IF you are happy the Canes beat FSU for 5 years....then I guess I'm happy Florida beat Miami 7 straight years. lol.
@01CanesrdGOAT Trying to figure out how Florida ran from the Canes ever! lol. So after Florida beats Miami from 1971 thru 1977 and 82, 83, 85 they stop scheduling them after the 1987 season due to the SEC adding 8 conference games. How did they run from UM? Miami was independents and scheduling East CArolina, Cincinatti, and San Jose State. YES they needed Florida on the schedule. That was over 20 years ago buddy...get over it, lol. Try winning 10 games or a bowl victory, lol.

@peterbuiltlong So Miami didn't win its own conference in 2004 and 2005 but you say they dominated?? OK.....it would be nice to see Miami win the ACC for once....how about make it into the ACC championship game for once?? Miami has been in the ACC for 7 years and have never even been to the ACC Championship game. Oh..I forgot...they dominated thru 2005...funny comment.
