Land Rovers don't LEAK !! They're marking their TERRITORY !!! I have two Land Rovers a series 1 , 1957 86" wheel base diesel, and a 1965 series 2A 109" wheel base station wagon diesel. I'm the original owner of the 109 and the series 1 was purchased new by my father. Absolutely love both of them and wouldn't sell either. I changed the engine in the 109 to a 3.9 Isuzu , like the Australian military Land Rover Perentie, along with the gear box (transmission). There's several companies in Australia that are great help with conversion kiks. Parts are very hard to find for the old Land Rovers. Lucky I have a great machine shop to make certain items. Thanks :) Since the video I've spent about a week and £300 on it, rebuilt both axles, most of the steering and some other stuff. I'm thinking of doing another video on the move soon.
Friend of ours is a bobby, says the worst they can do is make me take an MOT test, which I will pass as the MOT doesn't check for construction and use regs, just condition. It also doesn't fall fowl of the C&U regs as the tyres don't stick out more than 1.5"

Very nice I've got a series 3 88 with a disco 200tdi I have a 94 classic that I'm pulling the axels to do a similar axel swap Is there a chance you could do a video with some detail on the steering and axel diff angle Cheers Aaron
Hey, nice Landy! I'm looking at swapping a 2.6 petrol in my 109 to a 200tdi, I see you have a 19J turbo on your 200tdi. How did you get that to fit as I understand the exhaust ports and stud holes are different between a 19J and 200tdi for the exhaust manifold?
Nice Truck, I too am 19 with a series in need of work. I was wondering how you're getting on with those 1 ton shackles, I've heard some horror stories about them messing up the U joint geometry on the prop shaft, and binding the u joints, in one case braking a ring gear. Also, how do you bleed the calipers with them upside down?
1 ton shackles haven't given me a problem in 3 years of abuse! Take them off the axle, cable tie them up and chock the pistons apart. Bit of a faff at the time but they work

We got one at home got a v8 stag engine in it and tuned sounds amazing and spits flames out of the front
put a 200 tdi in my 67 2a. nice easy job. totally transforms it especially with disco diffs in

I believe 19j’s and 200’s both used the same turbo...

What front spring are you using? Or did just remove some springs?
