Patrice had a lot of respect for Rosie, you can tell. I just know in my heart that Patrice would have been on her side about the Valerie Jarrett comments. He woulda called bullshit on everyone to defend Rosie.
The funniest part about that entire thing is they kept using these pictures that they're showing here from a Jewish Humor Magazine to prove that she was racist
That bit at the end when Roseanne hugs Patrice and tells him he´s great made my heart melt a bit. You can usually tell if a person is racially prejudiced and she doesn´t seem to me as a person with hate in her heart or that judges other people differently based on their skin colour or ethnicity. Not to mention she was high on Ambien when she made that dumb tweet. I think firing her from her own after she apologized was a bit overkill.
I don't even think it was a racially motivated tweet. Roseanne said that Valerie Jarrett looked like a character from Planet of the Apes and she really does. Valerie Jarrett has a very distinctive, odd look that resembles one of the characters. The racial slur of referring to black people as monkeys is a denigration of their humanity by implying they aren't as highly evolved as other races. That's not what Roseanne was saying though. She was saying that Jarrett literally looks like the character. The equivalent would be saying that a man with large, sagging rolls of skin on their face resembles a bulldog.
This is from 12 years ago but a lot of what theyre talking about is still very relevant. Awesome group of people here. RIP Patrice and Bob. And I still love Roseanne. She's a good person at heart.
14:40 Patrice is talking about his career not really taking off at the beginning. He decided to just be authentic, instead of worrying about the results. And look where we are now... it's 2023. He's been gone for a decade, and people who never even knew his work when he was alive absolutely love him. We actively search up any old clips we can find just to get more of him. Currently, he has the greatest reputation of any comic there, and it's not even close. He changed the lives of a generation of men. He's a legend, and he did it because he was authentic. I just wish he were alive to see it. I doubt he could ever have imagined, back then, just how many lives he would touch.
Yeah, the men in the redpill would love him. The thing is, if women made those same type of jokes about men, men would lose their fucking minds. That's why men think of feminism as some boogyman while basically being the male inverse of it. Men can dish it out and call it comedy or "facts" but when similar truths are spoken about men, they can't handle it and call it misandry.
It's amazing how different Patrice and Roseanne are on the outside yet how similar their mindset are!!! Patrice saw himself in Roseanne when she was talkin about the Jerusalem thing
I think he was being incredibly vulnerable and introspective here. This is one of the more interesting clips of Patrice. He still speaks truth, but he's surrounded by comics who achieved the kind of fame and notoriety that he knew that he should have, but he wasnt willing to do what they did to get it... It was super fitting when Roseann said that you had to choose between being famous and being great. Patrice made that choice long ago, but you can't help but sense that there was at least a little... regret(?) there.
Thanks for uploading it, I'm always looking for Patrice O'Neal stuff I haven't seen before. The guy was a genius it's unfortunate he doesn't get the respect he deserves.
Patrice seemed like he always had a bond with the old school comedians. You can tell he had a lot of respect for Roseanne and saget, he loved pat cooper too! The 3 of them were great together in this

What about MLK, Malcolm X, fkin Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor and so on and so forth. If u think these and many other black people are not legends, u my son are fkin stupid and that is a fact. Furthermore your dumb reason is actually one of the reasons some of black men became famous and legends. Get ur shit together man and stop with that bullshit how they cant be shit coz the white man and the oppression and all other shit, if u ask me thats just another form of rasicsm.
I developed a lot more respect for Roseanne Barr, Sandra Bernhard, and Bob Saget after watching this. Real people just talking and shooting the shit. Glad Patrice had this (and that advice session with Bob) before he passed.
the problem with rosanne is that she isn't funny. She tried to choose fame but as Patrice used to say "when they give you fame, you owe." Because of him i look at my ceiling fan and i appreciate it.
She was always funny. She was against the establishment. It's unfortunate tht she became a Trumpster - that's when she became part of the establishment. She said something crazy about Valerie Jarrett when she got ABC to reboot a show everybody missed and loved. It was a dumb move on her part, but being a Trumpster ruins everything, anyway. So, somewhere along the way, she became a racist idiot. That's unfortunate, too, because she was never like that. It's not about political correctness... but she said something crazy... when the granddaughter and daughter-in-law on the show are supposed to be black. Pretty hostile.

He would have been the pinnacle of American stand up performance as an exported artform that is now globally mainstream.
Before Americans, this role was relegated to the position of "court jester".
His death is a national loss and a global one really.
After watching this a few times, I really think given enough time, Patrice and Roseanne would have been good friends, had he lived longer.
Yeah, they really hit off nad you could tell they had a lot of respect for each other.
This is one of my favorite videos with Bob and Patrice in it. RIP to two legends
Rest in Peace Patrice O’neal, and now Bob Saget.
This is gold lol and Patrice kept it so real here. RIP
at 15:42 you can see there are tears in patrice's eyes. He was a sensitive and hilarious, i get that lump in my throat when i think about his loss
That was just sweat
No, that’s just gravy.
Roseanne's line about choosing between greatness and success describes Patrice so fucking well.
Kinda weird just after Bob was saying to take any door that opens, Rosanne was taking about not selling out. Poor Patrice getting patronizing mixed advice and sitting there knowing he's funnier than both those two cunts put together. RIP
respekt on that
Neither of them are hacks, nor can I imagine Patrice would want you to think of them that way. He's definitely funnier in my opinion, but he wouldn't want to run names though dirt. Real recognizes real, it doesn't talk shit about it. Neither does funny.
The dynamic between Patrice and Bob is great. RIP to 2 true legends.
"i don't give a fuck what people think, i care about what they do".-roseanne
8:51 he's looking off into the horizon because he has a dream
I lost my mind when I heard that. Perfect delivery. It's like something Norm Macdonald would say.
It was fucking hilarious.
Patrices reaction was gold. I fucking laughed
Dark humor is like a kid with cancer...it never gets old.
shittt
Damm!!!
Just like Patrice
Savage
Just like the younglings from Star Wars: revenge of the sith
“You go through the doors that open for you.” Jesus Christ. I needed to hear that, living abroad makes things hard. But I always remember this quote.
Your comment made me hopeful, thank ya, stranger. Hope you do well 👍🤙✌️👌🙏
I've met Patrice many times.. One of the greatest crowd work and stand up. He's extremely missed.
Comedy gold - the entire show / series. Paul, if you see this and you can find a way to bring the show back...PLEASE DO! We live in a time where this is needed, and needed badly.
I came back to this, just to see Bob. RIP, may you crack up many more laughs with Norm and Patrice up there.
Listening to Patrice and Roseanne speak about comedy makes me emotional. Love their chemistry! ❤️
Bob's timing is great, he just casually drops juicy punchlines like they're nothing.
Even funnier is ahat Patrice called him out on doing that lol! Kept Bob quiet for a while.
It seemed like he was running written bits/material and not being present in the conversation.
You must be joking cause Bob can't.
Rich I. He was better in the 2nd half of the video, I’m glad Patrice called him out in the first half
@@angelayala7922 but that's Bob. He has dirty white dad humor. Everyone has their own thing in comedy. It's just a comedians job to fuck with eachother. You can love and respect someone while also roasting the fuck out of them.
Patrice had a lot of respect for Rosie, you can tell. I just know in my heart that Patrice would have been on her side about the Valerie Jarrett comments. He woulda called bullshit on everyone to defend Rosie.
100%
I figure he woulda have been like "she's right!"
The funniest part about that entire thing is they kept using these pictures that they're showing here from a Jewish Humor Magazine to prove that she was racist
This episode is hitting hard right now. Having lost both Patrice and Bob 😢
Isnt the female with long hair dead as well? I cant remember her name for the life of me
@@againstthegrain4894no
I've seen every episode of this show at least 50 times each one since it aired. We need this show back the way we need Patrice O'Neal back.
Roseanne said "Lets care more about freedom and less about the symbols of freedom". This means so much now the NFL and kneeling and Capernick.
and TODAY, holy shit
And increasingly more poignant
So..putting the shoe on the other foot...stop tearing down statues and vote the people into office you that represent the change you want to see.
@@johndurrett3573 I mean still tear the statues of rapists and racists but more importantly vote and actually walk what you talk
R.I.P. To the 2 legends. They ALL respected and understood each other. #BringBackComedy
This is from 12 years ago but a lot of what theyre talking about is still very relevant. Awesome group of people here. RIP Patrice and Bob. And I still love Roseanne. She's a good person at heart.
Call me crazy, but doesn't Roseanne Barr look better here than she did 25-30 years ago?
vicious bloodbath yup ... got a chubbie going right at this very moment
vicious bloodbath sitting in the same room with Bernhard makes a few chicks look better.
dankbubba Nice!
vicious bloodbath yup. i agree. she looks fantastic, radiant even....happy to see her in such a good place
vicious bloodbath Same thing with David Letterman.
I'm writing this one down. Well fucking said. "Lets care about freedom instead of symbols of freedom" - Roseanne Barr
R.I.P Bob R.I.P Patrice man had to come back to this video 👏🏽👏🏽
"Its dangerous to have any opinion other than a Right Wing opinion" Rosanne Barr. Oh how that opinion shifted for Rosanne 😂😂
Like Roseanne said: Sometimes you have to make the decision between being successful and great.
Patrice knew when he was going...he was just throwing it all out there..much love to his soul
It's amazing how different Patrice and Roseanne are on the outside yet how similar their mindset are!!! Patrice saw himself in Roseanne when she was talkin about the Jerusalem thing
I would love to see the full uncut version because this is the most tame I have ever seen Patrice
Patrice made that choice long ago, but you can't help but sense that there was at least a little... regret(?) there.
man i just wish there was a show like this with patrice and dave in the same room for an hour or 2 just to see what would happen
You know I had to come back to this.
Rip Patrice and Bob Saget, you can tell these dudes had real respect for each other
Came right to this video. His banter with Patrice is so classic. RIP Bob
This was almost a Patrice intervention. His jokes were tremendous and he was well respected amongst all comedians
Thanks for uploading it, I'm always looking for Patrice O'Neal stuff I haven't seen before. The guy was a genius it's unfortunate he doesn't get the respect he deserves.
Bob Saget just made me lol as playing the gay dad outta San Francisco 😂 FULL HOUSE. That joke went over everybody’s head
Bob: I’d play the gay father of 3 again.
Roseann: you weren’t gay, were you?
Bob: no I lived with 2 men in San Francisco
🤣🤣
Patrice pontificating in that awful ten gallon hat is hilarious. I remember when Colin trashed him fir about ten minutes straight for this very hat
Timestamp?
Immediately thought of this discussion when I heard the news.
her commentary on the cookie picture is one of the funniest things i've ever heard
Patrice seemed like he always had a bond with the old school comedians. You can tell he had a lot of respect for Roseanne and saget, he loved pat cooper too! The 3 of them were great together in this
The hug at the end..when Roseanne hugs Patrice..🙏🏾
Patrice is a legend
Wtf is wrong with you??You're sayin black people cant be legends bcos they oppressed? Get the fuck outta here man do u even hear urself, do u realize the shit coming out of ur mouth? What about MLK, Malcolm X, fkin Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor and so on and so forth. If u think these and many other black people are not legends, u my son are fkin stupid and that is a fact. Furthermore your dumb reason is actually one of the reasons some of black men became famous and legends. Get ur shit together man and stop with that bullshit how they cant be shit coz the white man and the oppression and all other shit, if u ask me thats just another form of rasicsm.
Bill Cosby is a serial rapist!
For anyone about to watch this: Yes Patrice is good enough to cancel out Sandra Bernhart, enjoy the video
dubnstuf not for nothin but my left pinky toe is good enough to cancel out SB
Roseanne alone (this day) is enough to cancel out Sandra and Paul.
He means his quality overrides how hard it is to watch her
Patrice's slam on Roseanne starting at 9:35 deserved a helluva lot more laughs than it got...
I think even a comedy crowd was shocked he went there. It was a hilarious line but really dark humour.
Obviously the joke of the night. Exactly what he means about real jokes horrifying half the room.
Slam on Roseanne?
It wasn't a slam, it was affectionate trash talk and she loved it.
Wow and this is Eleven years ago. Their discussion is so up to date .
R. I. P to bob and Patrice
I developed a lot more respect for Roseanne Barr, Sandra Bernhard, and Bob Saget after watching this. Real people just talking and shooting the shit. Glad Patrice had this (and that advice session with Bob) before he passed.
"He leans in like this shit's poignant!"
Turns out it was
RIP Patrice
Everyone who hates Roseanne should watch this it might give perspective.
Yeah she's always been nuts with no filter. That don't jive with the PC police who rule the internet
the problem with rosanne is that she isn't funny. She tried to choose fame but as Patrice used to say "when they give you fame, you owe." Because of him i look at my ceiling fan and i appreciate it.
@@Istaygroovy I just learned after looking her up after watching this, that she is on the spectrum.
I got crucified for defending her.
Damn it. Why did Patrice have to die?
Damn lol touche
***** Might be onto something. Such a great talent though. One of those comedians that can break through all walks of life. I'm white suburbia douche and even I could relate him when he was talking about his life on the hood.
***** I feel ya. I did know of Patrice when he was Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn back in 2004. But I didn't see his stand-up until a couple of years ago. Plus, one has to imagine the bits he did that never were recorded. I did see some TH-cam clip of a chick comedian was not funny. And to top it off she was using some of Patrice's material and passing it off as her own.
***** Yes, Liz Miele is her name.
I heard about Schumer's writing staff had stolen material. Don't know all the details. But this Liz chick stole and altered jokes from Patrice's stand-up special Elephant In The Room.
"Dont try to set me up to do your white humor, nigga!"
God bless Patrice's soul man. He was truly one of the funniest people to ever live and he didn't get the credit he deserved.
"He's looking off into the horizon bc he has a dream" is the funniest shit I swear. That is just layers of comedy.
Patrice reaction is a pitch-perfect display of your admiration 😂😂
So many emotions he just throws his hands up and;
🫲🏾’WWW🤷🏾uuut?!?’🫱🏾
Is fucking hilarious 😂 😂
the irony of rosanne seriously saying its "dangerous" for women to express leftist opinions is the funniest material shes ever done.
@Akatosh Dragon God of Time No she did not. She said 'not right wing'.. the exact opposite.
If you want to correct people, start with being correct yourself first.
@@erikstigter7897 She said right wing dude.
@@erikstigter7897 she said not left wing, fuck face

@@erikstigter7897 th-cam.com/video/PNHonbqlEOs/w-d-xo.html "...dangerous to say anything that is NOT A RIGHT WING OPINION". 7 years later its the opposite.
"I was hillarious till I starded doing comedy" dude, is that a quote or what! Patrice.
Patrice could talk to anyone. His insight into the human condition was Jedi level. I have a man crush but in my defense his philosophy has fundamentally changed me. Pulled me out of a dark place.
Are you part of the cult of black phillip?
He's a father to all young men who lacked a positive male role model which I didn't but sure glad I was born during his time to hear his wisdom.
RIP BOB AND PATRICE. THANKS FOR THE LAUGHS ❤️
You can tell Patrice and Bob are friends. His passing must have been so difficult for Bob.
came for patrice, was impressed by roseanne.
The "Masterpiece": 9:44
The "Inspiration": 15:17
Nuf said.
Patrice is the GOAT in my book
Oh man. RIP to two of the goats that left us wat too soon. This was 🦊’n great!
I cannot believe that I had not seen this sooner. What an epic circle.
God bless Patrice. He was the realest.
Say what you want about this show, but it’s definitely the show with the highest concentration of funny in one room. I’m amazed at some of these episodes
Patrice was right 50 people won't get it, 50 will. That's comedy!
This is a trip watching now. Both Patrice and Bob are no longer w us. 😢 RIP to these two absolute legends.
The skinny cookies joke is one of the funniest lines ever spoken.
Rest in Peace Patrice O'Neal. Passed just Days before his 42 birthday.
He and I have the same birthday
17:24 Roseanne hit the nail on the head about Patrice. I wonder if that really hit him, encouraged him at that moment, or if he already fully knew that. And he’s one of the Greatest.
Came here just for Patrice, great episode.
Patrice and Bob saget
RIP
God blessed you both
I miss Patrice so much. We never met, but he always came across as such a nice and gentle men. He was also brilliant - just watch the first 5-10 minutes of Elephant in the Room - look past any little sexist comments - Patrice isn't the jerk here.
Now if I could only find video of a real conversation between Roseanne Barr and Joan Rivers.
Just Me listen to him on opie and anthony. over a hundred episodes of him. perfection
Rossane Barr on Joe Rogan was good
funny I remember when I was a kid and Roseanne and full house we're both on the same night. That's three of the four guests
