  • Turmeric leaf Dumplings
    One of the most famous and delicious mangalorean snack, prepared especially during monsoon season when Turmeric leaves grow abundantly . These are also prepared on Festivals and occasions like Nagarapanchami, Diwali and Independence day.
    The lovely aroma of the leaves spread all over while they steam gives special flavour to these Dumplings.
    The measurements given here are for approximately 50-60 dumplings/ patholis depending on the Size of the leaves.
    For Rice paste:
    Brown/matta Rice 1kg
    Salt to taste
    water as required
    For Filling :
    Jaggery 750 g(grated)
    Coconut 3 halves
    Flattened Rice 1 cup
    Cardamom 3/4 tsp
    Note:
    1. If You like more sweeter patholis increase Jaggery, if you like light sweeter patholis, then increase the amount of Coconut.
