    These headphones are now ridiculously good value now and make them a much easier choice when they are being compared to much more expensive headphones. I bought mine for just £160 Almost half the price of a year ago. They are so good for their reduced price.

    I bought them in December 2022. And after 8 months, I am delighted with them. In the salon, I compared it with the Sony Wh1000xm5. Sony have a slightly more transparent and clean top, but the general perception after listening is as if they switched from LDAC to SBC. Volume and powerful delivery. After A800, everything seems flat.

    I have tried the sony, sennheisers, the q45's and the q35's, none of them has as good a sound and volume as the technics, the difference is massive. The only fault with them is the wearing sensor that randomly switches them off, you can turn off the sensor to fix this.

      Hi, I’m having the same issue with the wearing sensor, playback randomly pauses and have to hit play again. But apart from that I love these headphones, the sound and volume is incredible, and the ANC more than capable.

In the end I had a hard time deciding between the Sennheiser and the Bowers&Wilkins PX7 S2, which to me sounded as good as the Momentum 4, but tuned differently. Little tips LDAC on default is set on 660kbps (optimised setting for connection/quality) in developper options and need to be set on 990kbps (optimised for quality). You can just use the sony music center app because open the app automaticaly set on 990 that is way faster than going to developper options. In my case i saw that 990kbps lost packets and lag on A800 maube due to the metal next to the bluetooth receiver on the headphone, and my XM3 and XM4 do not have this packet loss on 990kbps setting. Moreover LDAC default to 32bit 96khz which is really high and use a lot of kbps to pass which maybe reducing music quality (i do not found a difference) these settings can be easily changed via the application "bluetooth scanner" with an eye and the word "discover" in his logo.

    • @theoc1009
      @theoc1009 ปีที่แล้ว

      Other tips: Android uses by default an API called Android Audio Stack or audio Track don't remember which is upsampling or downsampling all media to 48khz 16bit but this API is low quality compared to the internal hardware DAC from the processor like aqstic on snapdragon CPU. To force this high quality DAC you need to use Poweramp and go to audio settings>output>and set the high resolution audio on. But Poweramp only can read downloaded media on your device. Another application called "UAPP" can do the same and read Tidal/Qobuz streaming music, and MQA decoding. But these two applications are not free.

      I own the XM3 for almost 3.5 years now and they still work and look as new. I love how the volume really can go loud...extremely loud if your ears can handle it.
      Just bought the A800 a week ago and loving it. Not in the beginning though. Although from the factory they sounded a bit "hollow". And not much bass like i was used to from my XM3. After tweaking I found the preset "DYNAMIC" sounded better to my liking. The bass is more cleaner than on the XM3 and mids and high crisp and clear. Overall I further tweaked the sound with PowerAmp eqalizer app and in PowereAmp music app. Now I'm very satisfied with the sound. It has good separation and better sounds take than XM3. Sill not as loud as the Xm3 when using Bluetooth but when connected to my DAC amp using included headphone wires the A800 turns into beastmode!! Very very loud and clean sounding nice quality bass on top of that! Highly recommended ut must tweak fir better sound. I assure you it will deliver. Hopefully it will last me as long as my good old XM3.

    •At least a 6.5/10 call quality
    •Either good anc or strong enough passive sound isolation that my music is easily discernible over background noise
    •Light enough to wear at least 5 hours at a time without major fatigue, but not so light that they feel like a toy

    1) Sound is very open by default. Its kinda V or W shaped. Vocals are more in the backround and it feels like a standard Hall effect is applied.
    Not enaugh vocals for my taste
    2) Build is...awfull, seriously, like real. The buttons wiggle like on 30 bucks cans. Everything cheap plastic except the outer cups (metal). In direct comparsion the xm4 just wins her eon full line.
    3) their app is a 50/50, customization yes but not the most important things. No widgets for home display available, only 5 way EQ. Controls on the cans doesnt allow you to control the music, a killer L.
    General quality issues: The sensor for pausing the headphones is defective on a lot devices, better turn it off because it can lead to sudden music interruption.

A bass that drools a lot of hollow mids, and not very defined highs, poorly located buttons, a noise reduction of the purring of buses and cars, and very medium, and well-cancelled highs. A transparent reticle mode!. In short, a $100 helmet. The only advantage is autonomy, and application that is just, fair. The best choice is the Sony wh1000 m4.
