    I'm still playing my 30 year old FP-8 :) Maybe it's time for me to try the new FP?

    I liked the sound of the 30x better. With the app you can add almost the number of sounds to it as the 60x

    What about the keyboard action? It is the same in these two digital pianos? Which digital portable pianos do have a better keyboard action? With better I mean closer to an acoustic piano.

      FP 90X

    • @winterheat
      @winterheat ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes I have done a lot of researches... about the closest to an acoustic piano is the FP-90X... followed by FP-30X, Kawai ES920, ES520... unless if you go Kawai CA49 and CA59, or Yamaha CLP-745 or CLP-785

    • @hameed
      @hameed หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not the same action. As far as "better" in general, that varies person to person. The fp90x does have the nicer/more expensive action than the fp30x though.

    are there any detailed videos on registrations? I tried saving to a flash drive. Than I imported it. My sound does not change. It would be great if there is a very detailed, step by step video. Any thoughts? Thanks

    Can you label the piano sounds you're playing?

    • @justsaybobby
      @justsaybobby 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, maybe you should have alternated between the 30x and 60x back to back to compare sounds...?

    Does FP30X support playing audio through Bluetooth headphones?
    I could not find such information.
    Can anyone please confirm or disprove that?

      In case anyone has the same question, the answer is no. This model only allows you to use it as a Bluetooth speaker or as a Bluetooth MIDI keyboard.

    Newbie here. How does the FP-90x compare to the much-admired Roland RD-2000, the latter being about $500 more? Which has better action? Better sound? Why would you choose one over the other? Thanks.

    • @Yakumo00o
      @Yakumo00o 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The action should be the same as both use PHA50. The RD2000 and FP90x use different modelling systems. Soundwise I heard that the stock sounds on the RD2000 aren't that great, but since it got V-Piano modelling you can adjust it to your taste. RD2000 got no speakers, since it's meant to be a stage piano, but has lots of features for stage usage on the other side.I think for stage use the RD2000 is still superior due to all of its nice workflow options which makes it way easier, for home usage it most probably depends on your use case. Be aware, this is just what I found by research, since I'm also looking for a proper RD2000 vs FP90x comparision.

      I believe fp90x better for solo, and rd2000 suitable for stage mixing band

    • @Yakumo00o
      @Yakumo00o 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @JAZZ TARIGAN I don't know what you mean exactly with solo piano. As in only the DP, no PC or extra speakers connected? Then yes, the fp90x got speakers and probably better stock piano profiles. The last part being a pure assumption, since I'm looking for a comparision myself. Technically, the fp90x got the 'newer' modeling system with pureAcoustic piano modeling (introduced ~2019?), whereas the rd2000 got v-piano (live modeling with unlimited polyphony) and supernatural modeling (same as in fp30x/60x, but rd2000 with 128 polyphony whereas the others got 256 now). The pureAcoustic is somewhat of a hybrid between v-piano and supernatural, but I'm not too much into the details. V-piano having no limit means, you can probably get the same sound as the fp90x with enough time adjusting it. The Fp90x having a newer sound engine, probably got a longer software support. But the modeling part also doesn't matter, if you'd use software like Pianoteq anyway. So out of the box (without tweaking sound profiles), the fp90x most probably sounds better and you got speakers, whereas the rd2000 is a good work horse with much more workflow and mixing options. You can separate the rd2000 keyboard in 8 zones and use 8 different instruments at the same time, each regulated by its own equalizers. The fp90x got max 2 zones and I don't know whether you can set different instruments or just dual piano mode. I'd use them for live looping at home, so the workflow features are not only good for 'on stage' usage.
      I'd also like a comparision between the FP90x , Kawai Es920 and Kawai MP11SE, since the 920 is a good contender in this price klass and the MP11SE is known for its even better keybed action and more realistic sound of their piano stock profiles. A lot of people say, the MP11SE is as close to a real acoustic piano in tone and action as you could get at the moment. The only reason choosing the FP90x/RD2000 over the MP11SE for me, would be the price and additional features, since weight is irrelevant when I mostly use it at home anyway

    I'm Surprised theFp90x piano sounded better than the Fp30x after reading all of the negative reviews on the piano sound on the Fp90x at the piano world forums .

    • @BUJU2007

      I have the FP90 and it sounds great but there is a 3D Ambience effect that is on by default that makes the keyboard sound more metallic when you wear headphones. Most of the reviews i've read have mentioned the metallic sound. Turning the 3D Ambience off makes it sound a lot better. Also a lot of people like a warmer sound and the FP90 has a very bright sound.

    Undoubtdely Fp90x has more voices and functions, but Fp30x acoustic piano samples are the same at all!!!!
    And the difference of price between this 2 models is excessive!!!!

      “ And the difference of price between this 2 models is excessive!!!!“
      ------
      As is the difference between their actions.
      PHA-50 is way better than PHA-4

    Maybe I'm missing something-but didn't you want to show how responsive and good-sounding these could be? So why have this (apparently) self-taught fellow play them, whose technique and musical vocabulary are so limited?
